The best restaurants in West End North Eastleigh South East

Together with the family we eat almost every weekend, the food is absolutely delicious, the portions are quite large, the staff is absolutely wonderful, the tables are beautifully arranged, and very clean. Yes, highly recommended. Nothing to complain about!

Good pub food, friendly service and good parking.

Used to be our favourite Indian takeaway, but the business has apparently been sold. The website now takes your money, but no-one confirms your order or delivers your food. The quality had dropped substantially prior to that. Avoid!

Over priced for over cooked food wasnt very tasty, dry and basic. try other places would be my tip. The menu isn’t an accurate description either

First visit following change of management. Excellent welcome, great atmosphere, excellent service and top class food. The pie was exceptional. Will be recommending friends to visit the Red Lion and it will be on our visit again list. Thank you to all the staff

The fish was soggy and for the first time in my 76 years I was charged £1 for a SMALL JUG of hot water. Very disappointed

Visited on Wednesday 30th March. After a very cold muddy trail run around the Itchen valley which was beautiful, we headed into the cafe for much needed refreshments. We were disappointed at what was on offer to replenish our hungry bodies. For a cafe, we were expecting a full range of hot and cold substantial meals, however the only things on offer were sandwiches, children snack meals, vegan toasties and soup. After opting for the soup, I was again disappointed that this was served in a polystyrene cup and not a bowl. Covid reasons was to blame for the lack of crockery, however, I do believe crockery can be washed and as most restaurants are now fully capable of serving food on proper plates, I can’t see why a little cafe can’t. Overall a very disappointed visit, and one I won’t be repeating.
