Imli Indian Cuisine in Eastleigh

Used to be our favourite Indian takeaway, but the business has apparently been sold. The website now takes your money, but no-one confirms your order or delivers your food. The quality had dropped substantially prior to that. Avoid!

Had enjoyed a takeaway every few months in the past from here but will not be returning. The vegetarian jalfrezi was swimming in yellow oil, the onion bhaji were dark and rock hard (reheated?) and the peshwari naan without flavourings. Chicken curry was ok.

Used to be our favourite Indian takeaway. Quality of food is very variable, ranging from very good to poor. Delivery service is also random. If you sign up for mail and text notifications you will be be receiving this on an annoyingly regular basis. I have tried to unsubscribe from all messages but that has proved to be fruitless. Wouldn’t recommend.

There was a time that the takeaway quality was excellent. Ownership appears to have changed and quality has plummeted. Months ago I decided not to visit but last weekend I did. Really not very good, tasty but thin sauce, few and tough scraps of meat. Never again

They don't deliver your food. You cannot speak to anyone as they simply do not answer the phone and their mailbox is full. They are obviously just running a scam to take peoples money.

Ordered online straight from the restaurant's website. No problems. Delivered very quickly. Delicious and hot. Will definitely order again.

Always consistent,great food,very tasty and the portions are very generous.Can highly recommend!It must be the top place for a curry in Southampton.Love their Mix meat grill and huge garlic naan bread!Will be back soon again.

Horrendous. Missing rice, waited 25 minutes for it to be delivered. I ordered a korma and I'm not sure what was deleivered howewer it was spicy and no coconut. Won't order from here again.

We ordered a takeaway from Imli last week and it was excellent. We had Chicken Tikka Pathia and Rezala . Both were really fresh with proper herbs not a generic sauce mix. Tonight we ordered again and this time also had a Balti. Again excellent. So nice to have a local value for money takeaway that provides good quality food. Thank you!

With the current lock down due to coronavirus, we were a little doubtful whether we should have a take away. We need not of worried. Our order for a set meal for two was taken with ease and delivered within the stated 45 minutes. Nice and hot, beautifully cooked. A really nice surprise during this horrible time the world is going through. We will definitely order again. Thank you.

I was trying to order food but they had absolutely no interest in taking our order as you kept mistaking me for another Holiday inn which was far. I tried multiple times to explain and get rid of his misunderstanding but the guy had no interest so gave up. Never ate from them so not a review about food just customer service

Ordered a takeaway with a little trepidation. Previously a delivery had been an hour late. Ordered online giving 75 minutes notice. I received a text to say they needed an extra 10 minutes. The collection time was 18.15 so not during a very busy time. However I must say the food was excellent, hot in spice and heat.

I ordered from this takeaway with a little trepidation. On a previous occasion I had ordered a delivery which was an hour late. I booked on line for a collection at 18.00 giving 75 minutes notice. I received a text saying they needed another 10 minutes. However the curry was excellent.

Para llevar, a veces se cometen errores, lo que importa es cómo se corrigen. Nuestros dos principales que debían ser diferentes eran los mismos. Llamamos para decirles esto y estaban completamente desinteresados. Todavía no estoy seguro de qué platos conseguimos pero no eran lo que habíamos pedido!

Llamé dos veces para perseguir la orden y la actitud del miembro del personal fue espantosa. Won; estaré usando de nuevo. También tenían un descuento del 20% anunciado en su sitio web, pero se negaron a cumplirlo a pesar de que no se mencionó una fecha de vencimiento.

Pidió nuestra comida en línea que tenía un banner para ordenar directamente y recibirá un 20% de descuento en su pedido si es más de 20. Nuestro pedido fue cercano, así que ordenó un par de cosas más para obtener el 20% de descuento solo para que nos dijeran que el descuento ya no es válido y que tuve que pagar la cantidad total. ¡El cajero no se disculpó ni entendió! Buena comida pero pésimo servicio.

Tuvimos una reunión familiar para celebrar un cumpleaños. Hicimos nuestro pedido, un pedido directo nada fuera de lo normal. Ordenamos a las 19. 00 ish y dijo que estaría con nosotros en 2015 a más tardar. Después de dos llamadas telefónicas llegó poco después de las 21. 00. La comida era buena, pero se quemó Naan, no se dieron extras, lo cual es inusual, ya que normalmente se le da algo.La comida es buena, pero prepárate para esperar y esperar y esperar a que sea entregada.

Just had another takeaway after few months and it was great again!And the portions are big even the amount of meat!!Nice local takeaway can recommend but do not over order otherwise end up having it next day again.:)

After accidentally leaving an old address on my Just eat account, I was met with no understanding from staff. When they spoke to just eat they said I had swore at them and told them I was going to beat them up. Pure lies and terrible customer service. Please avoid like the plague

The takeaway is situated in upper Shirley simply the best takeaway in Southampton is no comparison delivery on time

I ordered two chicken dishes one was chicken tikka and other was a special,steamed rice and naan bread I loved it!!!i will definitely become a regular after this experience.keep cooking it tastes great!

The food is always hot when it gets here and always on time. I put extra notes and 9/10 they do them for me. always choose this restaurant for Indian as always yummy.

Awful service, the full order didn’t turn up, instead of resolving this, they argued that everything was there even though I had the order in front of me, talking over me and finding it funny, apparently I was speaking to the Manager... can’t quite understand why anyone would want to go back.

Food was just ok but blunt very little salt it seems like "weight watchers" dishes range no Indian spirit to it.

Fantastic curry's eaten with fresh naans. Definitely order from here again when next in Southampton. Impressed!

Food cold when arrived late by half an hour even though they confirmed delivery on time on the app.

Food arrived prior to the estimated time which was impressive as I actually pre-ordered prior to restaurant opening yet it still arrived piping hot less than 45 mi Ute's after opening. The food itself was really good, my pathia just how I like it and my partner declared her korma as probably the best she's eaten. The coconut rice is now looking like a favourite for her too. Will be my go to Indian takeaway now, thanks and we'll done

I ordered a take away and it came on time. The food was fine but I wish it wasn't cold. The bread was nice.

Food was not only increadibly oily, but the oil looked very over used. As if that wasn't bad enough, there was so much oil it stained my countertop yellow! I didn't leave the bag resting on there for more than 5 minutes before removing it and wiping the surface. Other than that, the food was quite bland - the best tasting thing was the onions that came in a small bag, followed by the curry sauce you got with the chicken biryani. Not ordering from here again!!

Food was great, they phoned to say it was ready and were very friendly when I picked up. Can’t ask for more than that 😀

Great food, hot and fast delivery

Imli used to be our favourite curry takeaway and the Gurkha Revenge is my go to dish. Unfortunately it was horrible this time - tasting like semi spicy pie filling. The mixed vegetable platter was soggy and drenched in oil and the rest was pretty underwhelming and not the quality we are used to. We will be going back to Gandhi after this delivery...

my only criticism is it could have been hotter but tasted great.

best thing was the curry that i must say was tastey however the price you pay for the rice that comes in a tiny dish not big enough for a kid was 1 bad point not to mention the meat samosas were minging and the keema nan had next to no keema in it. if you want a nice indian then dont order here move along to tthe bina where the food tastes and portions are far better ;)

we pre ordered our food at 4pm and they gave us a delivery time of 6pm as we asked it to be delivered at that time. It got to 6pm and the arrival time then changed to 6:30, on top of that they were another 15 minutes late, to top that off they forgot our bottle of Pepsi, eating isn’t very nice without a drink may I add. we rang the restaurant and they assured us it would be delivered asap and apparently it was ‘on its way’... 2 hours after the delivery and still no drink👍🏽

order dansak which is supposed to be sweet and sour was like eating vindaloo no lentils and far to hot just picked the chicken out an through rest away WASTE IF MONEY WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN AND WOULD NIT RECOMMEND

Delivery took 1.5 hours from order and arrived later than quoted delivery time. Food was tasty but could’ve been hotter - a little disappointing overall.

really tasty lamb korma and added extras like popadom and salad were a pleasant surprise but my order arrived 20 mins late and was only Luke warm but that isn’t any drama for me as I don’t like eating hot food anyway

Best indian takeaway I've ever had. And it was served on a Saturday, so never expected it to be that good considering how busy they were 😊👍 definitely ordering again soon

Food was very nice. But was an over an hour late and they forgot an item of my order. Shame really as would like to order again but probably won't. ☹

Absolutely disgusted with the customer service provided. When calling 40 minutes after delivery time expected I requested a full refund and the member of staff on the phone hung up the phone to me. I will never use this place again and will be making a formal complaint.

Really lovely food; best I've had in ages

The food was generally very nice.. The Dansak was far too hot to enjoy. I was not expecting such spicey heat. I would like to try it much more mildly spiced next time please.

A little later delivery thsn informed, but only 10 minutes, but so worth the wait. Food fantastic, hot and full of flavour. Definately would order again. Try the specials, so goooooood!

I'd not ordered from Imli in a while, but they still don't disappoint! Food is extremely tasty (love their Garlic Chicken!), arrives on time & is great value for the size of the portions too! Service "in-house" is always with a smile & a chat, such nice guys! Well worth trying, if you're "in the market" for a new curry takeaway.

Nice food but we had preordered as my husband was out at a meeting. The food arrived around an hour early so unfortunately had to be reheated.

Best food I’ve had in a long time

It was my first time with them but I can assure this will be the last. Not because of the food quality, it was not bad, includes a good portion size. My problem was with the delivery time I have waited over 1 hour after delivery time. I call them twice and they were nice and assuming some problems with the driver but after all I d be happier if they haven't taken my order than having dinner at 10.40pm.

Food average and A HOUR LATE

Called the restaurant twice and was told food was on it's way, plus staff were extremely rude on the phone and not interested. Food was incredibly late and quality was nowhere near up to standard when it arrived. Had an online chat with a member of the Just Eat help team to raise my concerns, however they were completely uninterested and said that the food should be there soon. I was told that I would be receiving free drinks as compensation and received ONE free can of Lilt. Thanks to Imli and their lack of service I will not be using Just Eat or ordering from them again.

Food arrived 15mins late after I rang the shop to say it was late they informed me it was still there and they added 30mins on delivery time . So that's 40mins originally plus 30 mins they added plus 15mins late 1hour 20 mins for food not good enough. The 2 curries I ordered were watery and tasteless Not impressed at all Should of read the reviews first Won't be wasting my hard earned money there again

I read the reviews before i ordered and i was i little bit concerned by the mixed results but i have to say i am glad i ordered from here it came 20 minutes early and the food was very good i will be ordering from here again

Ordered fort dinner when I finished work, expected delivery time 19:40, I had too phone the shop at 19:55 to ask where I meal was and they said it was still in the shop. Finally my meal got delivered at 20:10! But didn't receive some of my order, didn't receive my 1.5ltr of coke and the food was tasteless. I've ordered from there many of times and I likes it but this was very disappointing. Wasted my money

They added 30mins to the delivery time then delivered 30mins earlier. So perhaps delivery times are a bit imprecise.

Tasty food - would order again

Garlic rice was great, onion bhaji’s were excellent so was saag. Naan wasn’t the best, chicken tikka masala was disappointing, very watery and not a lot of chicken.

Food was warm not hot. Lamb was chewy in rogan josh. Very tomatoey sauces. Very band and not spicy at all. Disappointing.

Food tasted beautiful! Small portions though as would need to order one dish per person. Ordered at 7 arrived at 8.50 when it was supposed to be latest delivered at 8.20.

Was expecting delivery 6.15.6.25 got phone call can't find your address. Lady was walking but didn't k ow where she was. I tried helping 10 minutes later I was shouting from the window. Food was only just warm so had to put in oven to get hot. Not impressed

Everything was just like a regular Indian takeaway. The stand out dish for me though was the seafood platter, in particular, the two ginormous king prawns that came with it! Lovely!
