Admittedly, we were warned before entering that the till wasn't functioning, so we were asked to be patient, which, naturally we were. The younger girl got on with making drinks etc efficiently, but the older cashier was almost going into meltdown. Yes, it's stressful, yes, it causes slight delays, which we understood totally, but please smile or make a joke about it and don't make customers feel as if it's their fault. No one was impatient or grumpy in the queue. We all understood the situation, so make the most of it and speak kindly to your staff and customers please. As others have stated in their reviews, being told to wait by the till for your cakes and drinks etc, makes it cramped and uncomfortable, which obviously made the server more on edge. On the plus side, food and drinks were lovely. Just please smile, it's a service industry requiring a friendly face!

I booked this venue for a family event for 50+ people. Eden and her team were very professional and ensured that everything ran smoothly. They have a beautiful room at the back of the pub which is the main restaurant so we used that. It has a lovely high ceiling with large windows so it is very light, airy and has a feel sense of style. The attention to detail was fantastic.

Most of us know that post pandemic many country pubs are suffering due the decline in customers and the current cost of living and every rising water and energy bills. The Plough inn is no exception and times have been hard. Even so, the landlady and her partner have worked tirelessly to try and get back on track. A new Cooker has been installed at a considerable cost and the eating lounge has has a lovely refurb. I went for a Sunday dinner with my partner and the meal was very tasty and my beef was tender and cooked to a perfection. My partner ordered roast chicken which went down really well. For deserts we were presented with a choice of typical English Sunday deserts, served with fresh cream or custard. We also ordered a bottle of red that was complementary with both meats and deserts. " The landlady has just started "Breakfasts at the Plough" every Saturday from 08.00am -11.00 am. Great breakfasts and great prices, served with fresh coffee, teas and fruit juices. The Plough also has live music nights, bingo, and pub quizzes. Plan some tie to drop in and I feel sure you will not be disappointed.

Popped into here this morning for breakfast which wasn't available due to staff shortages, ok it happens, so settled for a sausage sandwich and a tea. Cup was filthy so took it back for a clean one, saucer was the same so was the cutlery. Two young teen girls behind the counter with no interest and zero customer service skills, there was also a young boy behind the counter probably about 8 years old, not working there, just behind the counter by the food area. The glass roof is absolutely filthy with bird droppings and moss and there are cobwebs in the corners. No hot water in the toilets and the floor was just as filthy as the rest of the place. This is definitely somewhere to avoid, I can't recommend it and won't be returning.

This is a lovely coffee shop, food is good, and well priced, its just a shame the staff are unfriendly and miserable.
