Lovely little country pub. Bacon and Bri baguette literally spilling over with the bacon, Delicious!! Drinks and lunch for 2 for £20! 👍

I knew that this pub was under new management and my friend had recently been here and said the meal was good so I thought I would invite me friends for dinner, I was not disappointed, the service, food and cosiness of the pub was excellent and would return, I had to trout and crumble and it was delicious and could of done with some more custard. Freddie who took our order and served us was exceptionally professional and funny too. Only minor point is when we were going in from the back it looked like it could do with a bit of love and pretty flowers. Look forward to returning maybe in the autumn when the fire is on.

Filthy, dirty pub, with no atmosphere and a nasty landlord who just kept interrupting our conversation, for no reason. Chairs and table were dirty and the carpet filthy. And come payment time landlord wanted cash!!

On every occasion I have been to Little Roses previously the service is always excellent and the staff are always friendly. A group of us met there for a reunion lunch. We had booked a table in advance and were so pleased when it was decorated with flowers and waiting for our arrival. Everyone in the party was extremely happy with the food we ordered (the coronation chicken sandwiches were delish). We wanted to give it 6*!

Nice pub. Friendly staff. Only popped in for a drink but the food we saw looked nice and smelt really good.

UPDATE - all credit to restaurant who invited us back with an updated vegetarian menu and complementary meal. The quality was radically different for the mains this time. Both dishes we had were tasty and cooked well. Starter was good as before (this time we had a sharing board). Sat next to the fire which was nice too. Updated my star ratings to reflect this experience, though kept below review for reference. ORIGINAL REVIEW - Really disappointed with our meal yesterday. The menu was limited for a vegetarian, so I went for the Bean burger - it was not home made - likely previously frozen and shop bought - a very thin dry thing. The bun was also dry. Advertised as coming with hummus in the burger but the smallest amount given. Partner’s beef burger was also dry and disappointing. Starter Camembert was good and chips done well so a surprise for both mains to be so poor. Meant we didn’t dare try the dessert offering. Very frustrating to have spent around £70 overall on 2 drinks, 1 starter and 2 disappointing mains. Won’t be returning. Shame as we tried this to branch out from our regular local spots! Atmosphere and service fine however.

Went just for the restaurant.... Absolutely amazing service and food, definitely recommend and will be returning. Bar man went above and beyond to make our night.

Unfortunately we had a very average meal here today. The staff were lovely, attentive and friendly. The food is rather pricey for what we got. Half of us had food which was ok and half of us had food which really didn't taste of anything.

Very nice experience indeed. We had the Sunday Roast. Food was delicious and in very friendy and warm atmosphere. Staff was always kind and supportive. I highly recommend it.

We have visited before, but this visit was even better than last time. Outstanding 5* service - more than so called 5* properties I have been to, and the food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be visiting again.

Welcoming hosts, nice environment, well-prepared food, and good service. An enjoyable stop for lunch on our walk to Calleva Atrebatum.

Re-opened this weekend so didn't know what ro expect. I wasn't disappointed!! The new owners, Terry and Bobbi were lovely, very welcoming and made us feel at home. Everything seemed to be running smoothly. Food was great, good value. Guinness was good and the building itself was a joy to be in, old beams, open fireplaces, tiled floors, and a great beer garden. Will definitely be visiting again.
