An old style pub with a decent range of beers, but limited menu. Only accepts cash.

I knew that this pub was under new management and my friend had recently been here and said the meal was good so I thought I would invite me friends for dinner, I was not disappointed, the service, food and cosiness of the pub was excellent and would return, I had to trout and crumble and it was delicious and could of done with some more custard. Freddie who took our order and served us was exceptionally professional and funny too. Only minor point is when we were going in from the back it looked like it could do with a bit of love and pretty flowers. Look forward to returning maybe in the autumn when the fire is on.

On every occasion I have been to Little Roses previously the service is always excellent and the staff are always friendly. A group of us met there for a reunion lunch. We had booked a table in advance and were so pleased when it was decorated with flowers and waiting for our arrival. Everyone in the party was extremely happy with the food we ordered (the coronation chicken sandwiches were delish). We wanted to give it 6*!

Stepping into The Calleva Arms is like finding an oasis in the desert of the ordinary. The pints are poured with such precision, it's as if they're crafted by the steady hands of a watchmaker. The atmosphere buzzes with a warmth that could thaw a snowman's heart, and the locals are so friendly, you'll feel like you've been part of the furniture for years. It's the kind of place where the beer tastes like a golden sunset and the memories linger like the froth on your upper lip. A true five-star experience!

Went for a Sunday Roast at 5pm at the pub. Had the roast pork, it was delicious - exactly what you want for a November evening. The vegetables were cooked beautifully- you can request extra complimentary roast potatoes and Yorkshires puddings, if you can fit them in. We made use of the “kids eat free after 4pm” offer that’s on currently and my daughter enjoyed the Mac & Cheese. We couldn’t fit in a dessert sadly. The food arrived fairly quickly and hot. Only thing to critique is the clearing at the end was a tad slow and I was lurking for the bill but felt like we sat for a little bit too long trying to get attention but it wasn’t that significant all in all. Would definitely return.

Booked for Sunday lunch - waited an age to be seated, very pleasant environment, ordered the Sunday roast, this took 4 trips from the waitress to bring the main course - the veg, the potatoes, the gravy by the time I'd gotten all I needed the whole meal was cold - no check back, ordered dessert - the crumble that also was stone cold - again no check back, the staff were polite and helpful but seemed to lack direction and leadership and seemed more invested in the wedding which was taking place - food very underwhelming

Avoiding motorways, driving across country, we found this pub. Hosts were inviting and the food excellent, everything was fresh and prepared to order and was well presented in a timely manner. Even though I live in Sussex, the next time I’m in the area, I will head for this pub again. Thank you
