Heard this was a great place to eat. Food was very poor and when we complained about our childs meal the manager was rude about our daughter. Definately not family friendly. Will not go back
Great experience.
Food was lovely, service brilliant, wine also great.
Overall faultless experience would definitely recommend.
We ordered garlic bread with cheese, arancini, lobster ravioli, chicken broccoli brandy cream pasta, tiramisu, sticky toffee pudding.
Would advise booking on weekends, we called 2 hours prior and got a table but all tables full later evening so don’t miss out.
Thanks to all staff we will be back again soon!
Been here numerour times int he past few months and the new management...just wow! The food is incredible, service so friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere in very clean surroundings ! Can't wait to return xxx
Excellent and creative food! Quick visit to Manchester and we were starving so gave this place a try based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. We ordered 5 dishes between the two of us and it was a lot. Ended up taking some home to nibble on later. We got there as soon as it opened and it was packed within the hour. Staff was attentive and friendly.
We’re so happy this restaurant has reopened! It’s always been our go-to for high-quality Italian food and wine, and it never disappoints. The service is consistently attentive, with the staff making thoughtful recommendations that suit our tastes perfectly. The food is fantastic, and their gluten-free pizza is mega! Just as good as the regular version. We’ve had casual nights out here, & special occasions, and they always deliver! Highly recommend!
A brilliant atmosphere, intricately crafted cocktails from a picturesque menu excellent service from my host max and all the staff were incredibly friendly
I attended with a friend on Saturday night, the food and service was great as usual.
However, the atmosphere was ruined by what sounded like screaming and shouting coming from the toilets. I believe a staff member was being shouted at by the manager/ another staff member. I heard a young girl come out the toilet crying and later on seen an upset girl behind the bar. This made me and my friends feel very awkward and uncomfortable.
Wouldn’t recommend giving money to a company who think being verbally abusive to staff members in such a shocking way is normal.
Visited last night for drinks with my partner and had a lovely experience, especially having a great chat with bartender Alex. He made us a sidecar and paloma we requested and made suggestions for other bars we could visit after. Staff member who popped down from upstairs was also very friendly too :)
My wife and I called in on a Friday lunchtime on the spur of the moment. First impression is that it is a popular location so would probably be best to make a reservation.
We were made to feel very welcome by staff and soon found a choice of two tables.
The pub itself has a cosy ambience still feeling like the old coaching inn it once was, Tastefully decorated in keeping with the pubs heritage
Staff courteous and amenable without being overbearing.
I decided to have the soup of the day off the specials list, one of the best potato and leek soups I have had, served with a crispy bread and garlic and herb butter.
My wife chose the steak frites as her main course, after much deliberation I chose the steak and ale pie opting for fries in stead of chips with a gorgeous portion of savoy cabbage.
Meal was served promptly, piping hot, very well presented with a good portion size.
Truly enjoyed my lunch, food was hand prepared and of high quality. Hardest decision was which main course to choose as I liked so many of them.
I guess I will just have to return try the other choices.
Particular thanks to our waitress I think she was called Lottie
Very enjoyable experience would recommend without hesitation, much more than your average pub lunch - good effort!
