Poppies 11 in Trafford

I’m not a local to Urmston but a friend recommended this little gem and so glad I took the trip up from Altrincham. I was able to create my own bagel with a variety of options, my stomach may have been bigger than my eyes but Wow! It was delicious! Not only the food but the drinks options are amazing too, I tried a pistachio iced latte and it was sweet and scrumptious! I will definitely be returning, the staff were friendly, helpful and clearly worked hard to make sure our time there was enjoyable. Thank you to the Team at Poppies!

I've visited Poppies many times in the past but this was my first visit back in around a year. I don't know what has happened in that year but it was awful! The food took 50 minutes to arrive (2 breakfasts, kids pancakes and a breakfast wrap) - I could have done it quicker at home! The pancakes arrived raw. No apologies for the wait and no communication at the time of ordering that it may be a while. Add to that staff just stood in the kitchen doing nothing while tables were full of dirty dishes. Genuinely disappointed as this was always a lovely little place to eat with the kids, but I doubt I'll ever go back again.

Went today ,with a friend, to take my brother out for lunch . He has obvious memory impairments . The staff could not have been more supportive & compassionate . They went the extra mile to make us feel welcome . The food was excellent & piping hot . As an extra bonus the teapots & milk churns poured beautifully !!! Would 100% give this a try 👍☺️🎉We look forward to our next visit

The best breakfast in Urmston. Highly recommended. Delicious food and reasonably priced. Family friendly. Great service and staff.

I visited Poppies with my friends and our babies. We had decided to go after reading online that it was a family friendly cafe and had a play room for little ones. Upon arriving, we were welcomed warmly and were assisted with being seated to allow room for our prams. The food and drinks were really tasty with good portion sizes and were great value for money. The play area was perfect for little ones and offered both toys and books. However, I believe it is the staff who really stood out. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. This cafe is honestly a gem and I will definitely be going back soon

We ordered from here for delivery and off the back of that, I simply cannot wait to go here in person! It was amazingly well packaged for our delivery. Their pancakes are to die for and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast wrap and cream cheese bagel. The coffee was so good even despite transportation. Thank you so much!!

I love this place, it's the only place I can get a peaceful coffee with my two year old - it's small enough that I can watch her while she plays but has enough toys to keep her entertained. The staff are lovely and the prices are reasonable. I'm so glad it exists!

We hired Poppies for a family and friends event catering for ca. 20 peeps. Everything from the initial food and drink discussions through to the execution and service was fantastic. We brought in some photos and music the day before, and the event itself was beautifully laid out. Service was brilliant, and I’m so pleased that we hired such an intimate venue for what we wanted. All credit to Joseph and team for making this occasion happen seamlessly. Anything that anyone wanted boxed was done, and everyone said how lovely it was. Would definitely recommend.

We visited this morning for a coffee and breakfast barm. We ordered a sub roll with sausage, bacon and poached egg. It was absolutely delicious, highly recommended. Great service with very friendly team and great kids area.

Great brunch today at poppies, a lot more choice than I realised I choose the BLT pannini, it came with salad and the choice of coleslaw or crisps. All prepared fresh to order I enjoyed a tea watching the world go by. Generous portion and tasted great too. Very family friendly and a small play area welcoming children and lots of new mums taking advantage of the warm welcome. Loved the decor too and a local family running it. Will definitely return especially as I saw some of the other food options. The cakes to select looked so tempting but no room left to try definitely worth a visit.

Reasonable covid arrangements. Their strawberry milkshake is wow. Had 2. Indoor and outdoor seating. Toilets available.

Delighted by the Ploughman's takeaway boxes, ordered for Father's Day. Amazing variety of food with something for everyone, including cheese scones,pork pie,crackers, 3 varieties of cheese, chutney and more. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Excellent value for money.

This place is full of charm, my sister called ahead to book a table as their was going to be 4 adults and 3 kids (3year old, 1 1/2 & 10month old) and one of the adults is disabled with bad mobility issues.Great job we did too because when we got there it was packed to say the least The service was lovely, it was like it was being run by friends which was nice, we ordered our meals and drinks and I learnt they don’t do fried egg (no an issue for me) they said they could do poached instead which I’ve never tried before. The food was all lovely (I’d ordered a sausage and egg sandwich & skinny latte) the bread was so nice as was the sausages! My grandma and Auntie ordered the Potato and leek soup with cheese sandwich and they enjoyed it commenting what a great food portion they had! My sister was a tuna panini which she enjoyed, the kids food was just as good. The cafe was wonderfully decorated! Clean and open, sofas and soft seats, decent baby chairs (which had the option of a cushion) outside was also tables and chairs for the nicer days, they have an awning which was nice to see. The kids play area was brilliant a great selection of toys and seating for them. And the on-site bathroom / baby change was a little cosy as the baby change was a pull down once the door was closed (they made good use of the space) with 2 bins for nappies (it was over flowing when I went in as it was a busy day with babies) but it was nice that they had tissues on offer on the shelf as well as a nappy bagsI would defiantly come again.

Acabamos de dejar a Poppies debido a la polla absoluta. Era nuestra primera visita para una celebración de cumpleaños a la llegada, no había una mesa limpia a la que esperáramos que nos reconocieran, sin embargo, esto no sucedió, luego decidimos limpiar una mesa nosotros mismos ya que nuestra hija estaba feliz en el área de niños. Luego tuvimos que pedirle a alguien que volviera a limpiar la mesa, este no debería ser el caso, no era como si el lugar estuviera lleno en este momento. Procedimos a pedir comida y bebidas después de casi 20 minutos, aún no habíamos recibido una bebida, la camarera se acercó para preguntarnos qué había en nuestro pedido, a lo que le informamos que un par de minutos más regresó y dijo que habían perdido nuestro pedido. y para que proporcionemos la información nuevamente esta fue la gota que colmó el vaso y pedimos un reembolso y nos fuimos. Tan decepcionante y arruinado lo que debería haber sido un buen brunch.

Usually treat ourselves to a county grill breakfast before going on holiday, but unfortunately closed due to a funeral, so went to poppies instead, everything was microwaved so disappointed, no taste.

Les pregunté si podían hacer una tortilla, que no está en el menú, ella inicialmente dijo que no, así que fui a irme. Cuando me preguntó por qué me iba, le dije que no comiera carbohidratos (soy diabética), así que me hizo una tortilla en el microondas. Gran cafetería familiar y amigable. Hay una zona de juegos para niños con cocina grande, libros y juguetes. El estacionamiento para automóviles puede ser complicado, pero hay espacio dentro para buggies. Los inodoros son aptos para familias, con asiento de inodoro para niños y escalones para el lavamanos disponible. Asientos en el exterior al frente y alrededor de la espalda, y un montón de sillas altas. El menú no es extenso, pero ofrece una variedad decente de cosas para el desayuno y sándwiches / paninis, ¡y usted recibe una golosina gratis de dulces o pasas de yogur con una bebida caliente que es ideal para un pequeño refrigerio! Buen menú de selección y mezcla para niños con palitos de pan, pepino, mandarina, etc.El ambiente es encantador, la música es genial! Para llevar también está disponible.

We visited Poppies 11 for a quick breakfast snack, and to take my mum out for my first pay day, safe to say I was not disappointed, staff were friendly and food came along quick and was very tasty, highly recommend!

Entré para tomar algo de desayuno y me sorprendió gratamente obtener un delicioso barm de tocino y una deliciosa cerveza para menores de 3 años. 00! Además, incluso ofrecieron un poco de dulce gratis. . . . smarties o maltesers? ? decisiones difíciles. El servicio fue rápido y las damas muy amables. Recomiendo encarecidamente y sin duda volveremos?

Voy a las amapolas a menudo. La zona de juegos y las instalaciones de aseo para bebés y niños pequeños (que tengo) son increíbles para una pequeña cafetería. Lo mejor que he visto. Sin embargo, las dos últimas visitas han sido un poco decepcionantes. Visité un sábado por la mañana con mi hijo de 2 años. Había 3 personal en un montón. . . pero todos parecían tener resaca y se reflejaba en un mal servicio. Pedimos huevos revueltos y huevos escalfados en tostadas. Llegó y no teníamos cubiertos. . . Esperé pero al final me di cuenta de que no iba a llegar, así que terminé preguntando. También se olvidaron de hacer un batido a mis hijas y tuve que pedirlo.

Had a lovely lunch at Poppies 11 Cafe on Sunday with my family. Excellent fresh food at a very good price and served by lovely staff. Will definitely visit again!

Pleasant atmosphere. Cheery decor. Corner for kids with books etc. Price for our food was good value. Give it a go.

We go to Poppies 11 on a weekly basis as it is completely aimed at families with children. The little play area is perfect to keep them entertained and in sight. The menu is developing as time goes on and I think it is brilliant considering the kitchen size. We find it really reasonably priced and love the pick and mix menu for children (cheese, bread sticks, hummus, pitta bread, carrots, cucumber, banana slices and yoghurt raisins).

Too noisy if you want a relaxed atmosphere. It was full of children running about and the music was too loud!

Don't bother if you want a FULL English as they apparently don't serve sausages hahahaha don't ask me why though !!

My mum and I went for lunch. As previous people stated the menu was basic. We had paninis which were nice. It was just lacking a side salad. We weren't given any cutlery either we had to ask. The overall experience was nice enough the staff were nice and the tea for two was plentiful

Always pop in here with my daughter after going to the Hairdressers. Lovely little cafe that is also child friendly with their own playroom. Staff are very friendly and professional. Give it a go if u are in Urmston

Poppies 11 is a lovely cafe with really nice staff and fantastic food!

There is a lovely little kitchen and toys for kids to play with in a separate section to the cafe. The menu is limited but you won't have a problem finding something to eat. They do healthy meal platters for kids which is nice to see rather than the usual nuggets, chips and beans which my daughter wouldn't eat anyway. The cafe is clean and staff very friendly. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit.

My children love Poppies 11. The little playroom is adorable and a godsend to allow you to enjoy your coffee in relative peace. It is a clean and extremely well presented cafe. The staff are really friendly, if a bit slow at times.

I had nipped to the vets on the roundabout and stopped for breakfast on the way home. The cafe showed much promise with its quirky Kath Kidston style decoration and children's play area. Very family orientated and every table was full when I arrived, which is usually a good sign.

Nice and clean, everything made fresh so worth the wait. Seems to be a good meeting point for mums and their young children.

Lovely cafe but the range for vegetarian's or intolerances is limited. Shame as it is very nice and clean.

Disgusted with the Manager who told off a Staff member in front of us. He needs to learn Hospitality. Prices high,not a lot on the menu. I had crumpets husband had a coffee. No parking but on bus routes.
