The best restaurants in North West

It looks like Northern Whisper Ramsbottom has now closed. This place could have been a great success. The bar manager was a great fellow but just pulled the beers and then played on his phone, ignoring what could be a solitary customer on their own who would have liked to have been acknowledged. The previous bar staff Lucy and Chloe in particular were very customer friendly and chatted with customers unfortunately in my eyes the bar went downhill when they left. The bar manager sadly didn't display that skill this in my opinion, leading to many customers not coming back or only having one drink and then leaving. Every Wednesday the handpull beers were £2 a pint this was hardly advertised anywhere in Ramsbottom it should have been plastered all over the windows to this day many Ramsbottom people were unaware of this promotion the bar if advertised correctly would have been packed. A major failing too in this modern age is that there was NO disabled male toilet access. Apart from these very big failings, the beer was always on top form and excellent.

very quick delivery time, however there was a missing portion of rice and the chilli beef was very dry. Prawn toast and dumplings were pretty tasty though. Overall food was good but have had better.

Proper pub with proper people. No sky sports, no knobheads. Lovely staff and great beer. If you love real ale you’ve come to the right place, reasonable prices and dog friendly too. Love this little pub. ❤️🍺

Excellent hospitality, delicious food, and mouth watering fresh bread.

The best bar in Marple. The pizza and food in general is outstanding! Also there is live music on a Friday and Saturday. Can’t go wrong, the atmosphere is amazing and all the bar staff and owners can’t do enough for you!

Good home made food, really nice helpful staff

We went to try the Afternoon tea here. The food was delicious and great value for money. There was plenty of options across different dietary requirements (veggie, vegan). Julie, the lovely lady that cooks everything herself, couldn’t have done more for us.

Great spot with a wide variety of food! The kebabs are tasty, the pizza has a perfect crispy crust, and the burgers are juicy. Friendly service and quick delivery. Highly recommend!

Best chippy in Mossley Hill. Locals don't understand why so many stick to the more well known one on Rose Lane, which is inconsistent at best...do yourself a favour and nip 50 yards around the corner to this gem. Excellent value, super friendly. Loads of loyal regulars and pub goers. Cash only. Easy to call in advance to order. Usually ready in 20 mins or so. Time for a pint in the Rose while you wait 🙂

Gorgeous pub with a big warm welcome from the Landlord, Landlady, and of course Steve! Amazing views from the beer garden with a great selection of drinks and snacks. They have the sports on and the fire lit, with good vibes and a dart board which is always great fun! My partner and I also attended their Christmas quiz which was a great laugh all around - even though we didn't win haha. Looking forward to visiting again 💕

Have had quite a few meals from here all staff are always very friendly and helpful specially angie and the food is always first class . Would highly recomend top class food and service
