This restaurant is a really lovely little find. Not only is the food delicious and fresh but the people are lovely too. We had the sharing platter to start and then I had Pad Thai whilst my partner had a sweet and sour beef dish with jasmine rice. All very flavoursome and washed down with Chang beer. We would definitely return.

Good and affordable restaurant in Manchester city centre. The blini was excellent and their lamb very tender. Excellent level of service. The only thing withholding me from five stars, is the service charge of 12.5% on the bill. I don't mind to leave a tip for good service, but my principle is that tipping is the guests decision, not that of the restaurant.

We came for dinner early on a Saturday evening and dined from the Prix Fixe menu, which we thought was excellent value. The service throughout the meal was spot-on. We felt exceptionally well looked after and the whole experience was timed and managed perfectly. The whole evening was seamless and the staff are a real highlight here. Whilst we enjoyed our starters, we felt the main courses and pudding was a little lacking in imagination. The chicken felt a little bit like wedding food - whilst it was executed well, it wasn’t memorable in the sense of bringing anything new to the table. The trio of desserts felt a little underwhelming and - dare I say it - a little bit like the taster sized desserts you might expect to find in a Vegas buffet. Some restaurants and chefs are just not “dessert” people, which is fine, but in that case maybe have the option on the menu to take just 2 courses rather than the full three. We wondered if the main a la carte menu might have been more exciting? The wine list was interesting with lots of variety and various price points, particularly so by-the-glass. Overall, would defintely recommend based on the service and the excellent value.

My partner worked with Nisha when she was a barrister. The legal professions loss is our gain. Mowgli is fantastic. It always has been. It's becoming a bigger chain across the UK but the Liverpool venues have always maintained their intimate, local eatery vibe. The food is always unbelievably good. It's not some ghee soaked stodge from some curry place where everything comes out looking and tasting the same regardless of what you order. Each dish is absolutely unique and has so much depth that James Cameron is trying to dive it in his sub. Nothing is going to blow your head off with spice, but it may ruin Indian cuisine for you. Nowhere comes close. Personal favourites are the Angry Bird, Bunny Chow and Temple Dahl. If it was medically possible to replace my blood with Temple Dahl, I would. We've tried the whole menu and found nothing we don't like. The house slaw is like being high-fived by the Incredible Hulk. It's amazing. We've gotten all the ruddy cookbooks, and again, nothing we don't like. Its delicious, its priced nicely, swings make you feel drunk—whats not to love?

Second visit here this year, was quite disappointed this time, the food was dry and a bit tasteless. I can’t eat eggs and they refused to substitute them with tomato’s, said I’d need to pay extra. Surely a tomato isn’t more expensive than an egg… Wouldn’t return, a shame as our first visit a few months ago was so much better.

Visited with a friend while on a trip to Liverpool. Nice lively atmosphere the restaurant was nearly full so pleased we had booked a table. They have a separate vegetarian menu which you can ask for with 4 mains choices, I had the nut roast my friend who isn’t a vegetarian had the chicken which she said was beautiful the nut roast was the best I’ve ever had. We had wanted the cheesecake but there wasn’t any left so we had a chocolate brownie and a malteser creme brûlée both of which were beautiful. There was no rush the time between courses was spot on you had time to enjoy your meal. I’d not hesitate in returning if I was back in Liverpool at any point.

I dined here whilst travelling for business, and as a woman alone, I was made to feel very comfortable. On top of that, the food was wonderful. I had chicken kebabs with rice, salad and chips with a very reasonably priced glass of white wine. I will definitely return!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and so glad we decided to go with it. We did book a table, for 7 of us, in advance. We chose not to have starters after we saw the other plates being served. The portions looked nice and big. We opted for a range of dishes, mine being the lamb iskender. The meat was cooked to perfection; served with chips, rice and salad. We could see the meat being cooked fresh. Absolutely delicious!

I've been here a few times, both for evening meals and drinks. The food is nice, we are a mixed bunch of people and everyone found something they enjoyed. Service is always a bit slow but incredibly helpful. I think the atmosphere is where this place falls a little short, it appears to confuse, dim lighting and interesting room decor as atmosphere. It's sometimes can be crammed to the rafters which spoils any mood and then unless there is a band on the music can be interesting. I think it might be trying too hard to make blues as commercially viable as possible, which is a worthy endeavour, but the way they are going about it at the min falls a bit short. That being said, it's a nice place for food mid week.
