The Rock in Carlisle

Went for breakfast, lovely staff, great atmosphere and two nice warm fires in either bar. The food was brilliant, a hearty portion of clean well cooked food. Nothing dripping in grease, nothing over cooked or undercooked, I honestly couldn't find a single issue with the food. Utensils were clean and I was provided with a range of condiments, and offered a wider variety. Would highly recommend, I took my child (under 2yo) and he was most welcomed, there was also a customer with a dog, so pets are clearly welcome too.

A pretty decent traditional pub with probably the best landlords in Carlisle.

Brilliant atmosphere and service and a great full english. Fried bread was an excellent addition, you do not get that much these days!

Phenomenal food, especially the honey roast duck! Generous portions, friendly servers. Highly recommended, it’s worth the slight detour from the main road.

Gorgeous pub food, friendly atmosphere. Reasonably priced and friendly smiling staff. Pool/snooker tables, music and a juke box..bandits and outdoor seating.

Didn't stay long as it was just a quick pint on the way home from work but the Guinness was bang on 🤘🏼 The lady on the bar was brand new and she was lovely Will definitely be back 🍻

Today we attended a funeral tea in honour of my mother. It was socially distance guided which was carried out correctly. The food a hot buffet was absolutely out off this world and such good quality and plenty. The staff were very kind and so helpful and the surroundings lovely. We cannot thank you all enough ♥️

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and clean, crisp decor. Lots of televisions showing Sky, two snooker tables and two pool tables, add in great food and beer and you have a perfect local.

It's local, friendly and a mix of customers. Decent food, good company and good beers. What more could you want.

Me and the wife just had a Sunday roast beef dinner from the rock..highly recommended..very tasty !

Went for a bar lunch with my wife and the meals were excellent. Freshly cooked piping hot food including home made chips. Will return
