I've eaten in the restaurant many a time . It's been delish and the service spot on. Decided to get a takeaway. Bad move. It came quickly with a very polite driver. 5* Excited as not had one for ages and knew the reputation for Dine India was on the whole good. But boy we were wrong. It wasn't just my meal which was totally tasteless. I had onion bhaji which were cold and soggy not crispy (I live 5mins away if that) the naan was cold the rice may as well have been boiled rice and the chicken makhanawala was like coloured water. It did not taste of anything at all. Couldn't even tell what the meat was !! The poppadom chutneys were even tastless . So very disappointed. The mixed meat bhuna was the same no taste . I have no idea what happened but won't be ordering takeout from them again. I would eat in to give them the benefit of the doubt , then at least you can send the food back!

Upon my most recent visit to Toby Carvery, one found oneself delightfully reminded of the bounties of Britannia's culinary offerings. Accompanied by my darling son, Charles, and attended to by the most charming servers, Liam and Neve, the experience was nothing short of resplendent. From the outset, Liam and Neve proved themselves exemplary in service, displaying an attentiveness that bordered on reverent. They meticulously explored the intricacies of Charles' peanut allergy, leaving no stone unturned to ensure his safety. Such care and diligence are qualities one seldom encounters outside the most exclusive palace kitchens. The food itself was an unbridled pleasure. The meats—succulent and tender—glided onto the plate with a sensual elegance. The vegetables, vibrant and fresh, seemed to whisper sweet promises of satisfaction with every bite. Ah, and the gravy! A thick, luscious cascade of molten umami, it coated the tongue like silk, leaving one yearning for more with every mouthful. Toby Carvery, with its hearth-like warmth and tantalizing offerings, was a feast not just for the body but for the soul. My compliments to Liam, Neve, and the culinary artisans who delivered such an enchanting experience. It was a dining encounter that stirred the senses and left this Queen both satisfied and, dare I say, wanting. One shall undoubtedly return
