Zeera Tandoori in Wirral

The best curry that I have had in a long time. Couldn't fault anything. Service also great. Good value for money and incredibly fresh and not greasy food.

We had wonderful food once again at The Zeera, a great menu to choose from and fantastic service from Saheed and Jay. Would have no problem recommending the Zeera to anyone. Brilliant

First time visiting this restaurant with family and have to say we had a first class experience. The food and service was excellent Syed who served us was very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely return in the near future.

Excellent food. Large potions Very professional waiters. Understood my dietary needs (coeliac). The staff were friendly and created a relaxed atmosphere. Tastefully decorated and furnished.

This used to be top class but it's been taken over and it's absolutely sh1t now. There are plenty of better options in the area

the service here is great! when i call, they respond right away and serve efficiently. the young waiter in particular is great at his job, as so do the rest of the workers here have exceptional manners. i will definitely be eating here again, a new fave 😄😄

As we had dined her before we decided to visit again , some of the staff were helpful and very friendly , but the small guy that took our order was very grouchy and snatched the menus out of our hand when we finished ordering . After an hour the food arrived and even though we orders two separate meals ( mine being a moderate dish the same food came and it was hot !!! it just had different meat in it nothing else’s was different . The lamb dish was more like beef and chewy !! For the price the lamb should have been soft and tender . Some of my husbands order didn’t even arrive .only thing we enjoyed was the starters poppadoms and chutneys were exceptional as where the onion Baji and pershwari was lovely too , such a shame food was same dish but different meat was put in but we were not fooled . And the small guy who served us obviosly doesn’t like he’s enjoying his job time to find a new Indian restaurant

Haven't been for a while. New younger staff definitely not as friendly or accommodating as previously... we asked for 4 poppadoms whilst we browsed the menu (something we always do) and were told quite sharply that we these could only be ordered at same time as meal - so we didn't order any! Food very well cooked and presented, however we all only had 4 tiny bits of meat in our curry. Will be sticking to Dine India in Pensby in future with excellent service and portions - even better BYO booze!

Beautiful meal, fresh and tasty. The curry is not as hot as other curry houses but that’s how I like it and you can ask for hotter. Very expensive but worth the occasional treat. Take away meals are quickly prepared.

Our first visit here with friends who'd been before. The meal was faultless from beginning to end. The portions and the service were all impeccable. I highly recommend this place.

I usually don’t go to eat at a restaurant on my own, but i thought i could explore some change. The service was brilliant, i felt at home and was welcomed by friendly staff. The dishes took Indian cuisine to a different level and would recommend this place to any family/couple or solo looking for a great day out!

Went with my family and friends for Christmas! I had to show them my favourite restaurant, a restaurant which never fails to meet needs and always satisfies my taste buds! Service was amazing, staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was bursting with flavour as usual! I would definitely recommend:)

We had a real feast here as we were passing through from our trip to Northern Ireland and this was the closest restaurant to our Hotel . We had a lovely warm welcome and great service . The food was excellent and the prices reasonable. We will definitely come back when we next pass through.

Have been going to Zeera in Irby for a number of years on and off but was my main Indian goto. In house service is good and the food quality is generally very good. The main issue is waiting time for take away food with a wait minimum of 15 minutes but usually around 30 minutes and most recently 40 minutes despite arriving late on purpose to give them extra time. I have since come to the realisation that the time to collect over the phone is arbitrary as your main dishes are not cooked until you have arrived and paid for your take away, so why bother giving me a pick up time ? Right? Please don’t quote common practice as in the past at previous restaurants I went to (and may now return to) the food was always ready within 5 minutes of arrival. Typical example at Zeera in Irby , ordered food at 6.30. Requested to collect 7.30 (fine) arrived at 7.40 sat waiting until 8.00 finally said if not very soon would ask for refund. Food arrived at 8.10, finally got to eat at 8.30. (2 hours!) As I have said above, this is not a one off it has been happening well over a year now and there are usually other people waiting just as long. One would expect that if you have at least some loyal and regular customers the food would ready to collect within 10 minutes. Real shame as the treatment and food quality are quite good.

Zeera is a small, local Tandoori. Food is excellent as is the service, venue itself id clean and relaxing. Overall a good value "local" restaurant.

Never been and eaten inside the restaurant but have had several takeaways. All of them first class, staff are always friendly on arrival.You will have to wait a little longer than some other takeaways but it’s worth the wait! I’m sure I’ll be visiting again soon!

I've never been to this indian restaurant before and I came here with my girls and it's probably one of the best indians on the wirral.When we walked in, we were straight away greeted and felt welcomed by the waiters. The atmosphere is very cosy and warm. The staff are all young which is nice to see and you can see they bounce off one another and have a good time whilst working. Their poppodoms tasted so fresh. Their starter portions were bigger than I expected; almost felt like a main course. The waiter was very helpful and recommended me a dish called 'Monchori' and it literally was the best curry I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this dish. We were treated with free drinks at the end as it was our first time. I will definetly be coming back here more often.Keep up the good work Zeera!!!

It had been a while since my last visit at Zeera and I must say I really had forgotten how amazing this place was! The lads are very welcoming and friendly. The food is of a high quality and you can tell everything is freshly made. Honestly I couldn't think of a bad thing to say about the place. Will be back here on a regular basis.

Have been zero a few times in the past and been very satisfied, but after it reopen after re-Ferb, it was very diffrent. I went for an early meal with a friend and have never had such a dreadful meal in my life. I ordered a madras and a Tika Masala When they came to the table they had no flavour, and were cold, we sent both back and when they came back they Had added some spice to give them flavour and put them in the microwave to heat them, but both meals were swimming in oil and barely edible, the rice had gone cold, I complained but I didn’t even get an apology, will never be going back

Excellent food - so tasty and beautifully presented. Delightful. Even our kids who do not usually like Indian food thoroughly enjoyed it. So flavoursome. We will make this a regular.

This restaurant is one of the best Indian restaurants in the UK (I have been to a lot) my wife has madras/tandoori chicken I normally have the Roshuni Chilli Mussalaits very hot. We have lots of other items on the menu can never fault it.

Been coming here for years and the guys consistently serve the most amazing and delightful food. Each and every time the food is of an excellent standard, complimented by the great service. No other Indian restaurant in the vicinity comes anywhere near the standards delivered by the Zeera team. Been a please eating with you guys and long may it continue

First visit for a year or so. Even better than the last time I went. Fresh popadoms and chutneys and the best jalfrezi I've tasted for a while. One of the best around!! Highly recommended

Booked in on the 26th Feb after I heard they’re re-opening again as they were closed due to refurbishment. This was my second time visiting Zeera and they still haven’t disappointed. The restaurant was packed on the first day of re-opening and I seen big boxes of takeaways being served to some of their customers. Goes to show, everyone loves it here and the food was missed. Definitely will be back!

Visited today 6th March, for an early meal, have never been so dissatisfied with a meal ever, 2 dishes ordered and they were asked to make them spicy, 1 arrived swimming in grease, whilst we had to wait for a Balti, whilst waiting the rice had gone cold as the Nan, both dishes were returned because there was no flavour, 2 minutes they were returned to the table, still swimming in grease, added spices and microwaved to be hot. Have eaten at Zeera several times before, but not again, king prawn Balti 4 prawns and £12.95 plus rice. Extortionate, not even an apology for such awful food, not recommended

Made a very large order over the phone. They phoned me back when it was ready, collected from very friendly polite helpful staff who carried it to my car. Delicious food, good sized portions and a free bottle of wine. Could not have asked for better. Delighted with the service. Thank you.

I have used this restuarant on a regular basis for the past 4 years and the quality of the food never fails. I took three friends there last night for a meal and they were all blown away. Best Indian cuisine on Merseyside by far. Great staff and amazing food.

I came here with my girlfriend for the first time on a Saturday as referred from few friends and I’ll tell you what; it was fantastic... The service and the food was top notch. The atmosphere was lovely. I noticed people order large amount of takeaways. The chefs must be on a new level. Our waiter was Sham, was very attentive and looked after us.

What a fabulous evening - food cooked to perfection - onion bhaji crisp and fragrant; murgh air donia deliciously spiced but not hot; garlic naan fluffy and irresistible. Service welcoming and highly professional. Atmosphere mellow - this is my favourite restaurant 👍😊💖✅

Ordered a mixed biriyani but requested king prawns instead of the regular prawns, I offered to pay extra for this and did indeed pay extra for this. I had one chopped up king prawn in my biriyani. Been here twice and I swear the curry's just keep getting better! I had the mulag malai and it was sensational, cannot recommend enough.

We visited on a Sunday evening with friends and we felt that they didn’t really want us there, even though had accepted our booking. They were setting out tables for the following day all around us.The starters weren’t too bad, we had the mixed kebab, bhajis and chicken chat between us. The mains were all below the standard we would expect of any decent Indian restaurant. Mne, chicken tikka missala, tasted quite bitter and salty. Only one of us thought the meal was ok, which was mixed nawabs khana but even that was a bit bland. Overall we were very disappointed and will continue to go to other Indian restaurants elsewhere in Wirral.

As a group of friends we went there to celebrate a birthday and we werent dissapointed. Good service, tasty curries. We especially loved homemmade breads. We will be back!

Onion Bhajis - burnt ,dry and cold. Cold plates,cold Pilau rice,Kushboo Murug, pre-cooked chicken pieces ,cold in the middle and dry, meagre portion of sauce.

Very good choice on menu, nice to see 'different' things and old favourites. Tried Mishtee Lau ( a medium lamb dish) asked for it madras hot and it was perfect, lovely breads and rice which we shared on the table - husbands' Roshtu Chilli Masala, chicken was hot but manageable!

We had a marvellous takeaway form here. When a Cury Restaurant offers dishes away from just the run of the mill I always try and order something new to me, I was not dissapointed I enjoyed a lamb and onions dish called (i think) Keema...

i have eaten here many time and i love the Food here, they also do a take away Service but i would rather eat in the Service is great and the resturant is well kept .

Zeera Tandoori not only serves the best Indian Food that I have ever eaten, it provides excellent service in a top quality yet relaxing environment.

Been to the Zeera many times and have never had a bad meal, the menu offers a fabulous choice of unusual house specials and also the normal Indian Cuisine, I asked for a dish that was no longer on the menu and the Chef cooked it for me anyway, which I thought was lovely. The four of us all had different and each of us were once again impressed. The drinks are not overpriced and they offer a good selection of wines and beers. The service is excellent and the staff are friendly.

So very disappointed. Been eating at Zeera since it opened. Tonight's meal was cold , small, lacking in all the usual tastes and we will not be eating there again. Have all the staff changed or has it changed owners?Not an enjoyable occasion .

Last couple of times I have been to Zeera the overall quality has dropped. I guess their head chief has left or is not there as much, the meals used to be outstanding with great care and attention to both ingredients and presentation. The last few meals we have had there have been nowhere near as good quality, missing certain ingredients and some overly sweet. Rice portions were the smallest I've seen in any restaurant. Most embarrassing thing was that night I had talked my father into going to Zerra instead of Barton Rouge Heswall which is pricey but much more consistent.

Been here for 2 meals and tonight for a takeaway. Regardless of whether you order the same meal each time there is no consistency with what you get. I always order a chicken tikka rogan josh and have never had the same curry twice, tonight being the worst! Myself and my husband ordered different curries (he ordered a jalfrezi).... they tasted exactly the same except one had some peppers in and the other had tomatoes in. Really quite disappointing ...I really feel that the restaurant needs to work on consistency of meals. First time having takeaway here..... should have stuck with millennium tandoori in heswall who deliver ...After 3rd attempt I probably would not recommend here and won't be returning myself!

First time to this restaurant. Starters were fine. My wife ordered a King Prawn dish with plain rice. When taking the order, my wife specified plain rice, the waiter said Pilau rice, my wife said no, plain rice, again he repeated Pilau rice. I said No, its plain rice. Guess what! She was served Pilau rice. How hard can it be the get order right first time? No big error really, the plain rice was brought without delay but the King Prawns were not evident but at best were chopped up and she felt that at max there was probably 2/3 king prawns there. The rice servings were meagre in the extreme. Plenty of sauce with dish but insufficient rice.Worst of all, the waiters kept referring to my wife and me as "guys". Why must they use this term? What's wrong with plain Sir or Madam?On the positive side, the prices were reasonable

Both the main courses were very sweet, I think one was supposed to be but the other was not.I asked to change it and it was replaced with what would have been OK but again it was far too sweet. The waiter said there was no sugar added but the base curry must have had loads of sugar in it because you don't get that level of sweetness from just onions and garlic.The seekh kebab was some sort of very dry composition sausage with no trace whatsoever of minced lamb--horrible.The portion of pilau rice was tiny probably enough for my 3 year old granddaughter.The service was friendly and pleasantBut this will be my last visit.

Visited zeera tandoori on friday night. The evening was ruined by a group of 4 blokes consistently swearing oblivious of the effect their language was having on other diners. Sadly this is the second time we have experienced this type of behaviour at the zeera staff don,t appear to do anything about it. The last time it happened it was much worse but its a shame you can,t enjoy a nice meal with your wife without this sort of ignorant behaviour. The food at the zeera is great and the staff lovely but something needs to be done to curb the poor behaviour of bawdy groups of men. Get a grip Zeera!!! Or we wont be back.

Probably the best Indian within the local area. Have used for both carry out and eat inPlenty of sauce but not much meat! Check order if collecting as I have had 2 occasions when order has been wrong.

We have been going here for quite a few years being fairly local. To start the food was always good and quite fair sized portions to be fair.Now the food is mediocre ... the rice portions in restaurant are very scarce, the chicken is now tbh processed slices, is this a cost cutting excercise?? We went a couple of weeks ago on a sat night, and like most movies dole aged folks make a night of it wine, coffee, maybe an Irish coffee etc, to be told at 10.10 that they had families waiting at hom band it would be the last drink they would serve us only being there John st over an hour!! Being in business I always put customer first and will go above and beyond to make customer satisfied and return .... the was not the experience from Zeera tandoori.

We come here at least once a month after a few drinks at the anchor over the way. And have been regulars for several years. Unfortunately on this occasion we were turned away at 10 pm stating that the opening times have changed and did we want a takeaway...Not impressed and will head off to elsewhere in future.

Visit this restaurant regularly and it never fails to please. Welcome, service, presentation never fails to please.

We are very lucky to live between two very good Indian restaurants...Dine India and The Zeera...we popped into the Anchor for a drink and decided to treat ourselves to a 'ruby....well it was the weekend. After fine starters of puri various I opted for Special Tok which is a tomato based dish with a hint of sweetness and a bit of bite whilst my fiancee had an old favourite Chicken Shaslick...unfortunately the spice rub on the chicken was far to thick resulting in it being rather salty. Still everyone can drop the ball on occasion! We'll be back, maybe one day we'll get one of the elusive booths!!

Fabulous food as always- chicken in every dish was cooked to perfection- the chicken tikka was the best I have ever tasted. The tarka dahl was delicately flavoured and had just the right texture. The garlic naan was delicious. Thank you for a lovely evening ✅

Went here for the first time for a take out must admit the food isn't bad the onion bhajee are very nice the dansak was nice just needed a bit more heat for my liking the staff also great and helpful the only problem is it's a little expensive compare to the other local restaurant in pensby

Went taking friends for first time for early evening meal and they were so impressed. Zeera has a lovely friendly atmostphere and staff are welcoming and attentive. We started with poppadoms and chutney tray which were beautiful and fresh. We enjoyed a variety of curries including Malobba (mango), Biryani and rices/naans!.. all delicious and tasty as usual. Always enjoy the food here which is freshly prepared. Will remain a firm favourite with us!,

Got a curry Saturday night and I must say I couldn't even eat it and it went in the bin , I've been going here for years and it's been going down hill for a while now . The chicken was disgusting just lumps of fat and did not taste right. And as the sauce all the flavouring just not there. Please Zeera stop cutting corners and get back the way it was before you loose all your customers.

First visit after reading favourable reviews. Quite simply, the food was as good as the very best I have tasted. All the dishes that the three of us had were sublime. Beautifully spiced and seasoned, good sized portions and nicely presented. The naan bread was superb; light and fluffy. Unlike the stodgy examples you sometimes get.The service was attentive, prompt and the food came at just the right pace.An exceptionally good restaurant. Can't wait to go again.
