Kismat Balti Wirral in Wirral

We fancied a day out from Manchester and after visiting New Brighton and Hoylake chose to eat out before going home. After reading the reviews for this place, we decided to give it a go. We were very glad we did. We were met with a warm and friendly welcome and after finally choosing our food from a great menu, we both enjoyed every mouthful. The guys were very attentive, especially Yousef, who made time for a chat not only about the delicious food but also of places to visit. This restaurant is a little gem.

Kismat is by far the best curry/balti house in the Wirral. We live on the far side of the Wirral to it and have tried other places but nothing else comes close and it is always worth the travel. The quality (and portion size) of the food, the excellent service and the fantastic value for money makes for a cracking meal out every time. BYOB is the icing on the cake. 10/10 couldn't recommend enough.

Staff are welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We love coming here. I always book as it can get very busy, as it's so popular. I have a favourite meal, Murghi Modhu. And the naan bread is spot on.

Excellent standard of food as always. Madras was full of flavour with a perfect amount of heat. Friendly service. A great neighborhood restaurant.

Last minute decision to go for an evening meal with my wife and son. Phoned Kismat and booked a table for 18:15. It was quiet in the restaurant when we arrived but started to fill up after about 30 mins. The waiter (Youssef) was very attentive. He offered all menus including the Wednesday night banquet deal. He was polite, friendly and so helpful in explaining when we asked about different dishes. We had eaten our starters and were waiting for our mains when my wife realised she had ordered the wrong main meal. Yuossef was more than happy to run to the kitchen to amend the order. The food was excellent and plentiful. We opted for the Wednesday night deal and saved £10 on the overall bill. Would definitely recommend Kismat.

This is the 2nd disappointing takeaway we've had in the last 6 weeks - the first time we asked online for 2 chicken tikka starters, when we got home and opened it, there was 1 chicken tikka starter and in the other carton - 2 chicken wings. We tried calling, no answer, I emailed them explaining we wouldn't be coming back as we live 15 minutes away - never got a response. This time we ordered in person and explained what happened last time - the response was a frown - we asked for onion bhaji- didn't receive them but got rice that we hadn't ordered... the chicken was tough to eat and just a disappointment. We won't be returning again. Make sure you check your takeaway order before leaving, not that you should have to!

Dishes were tasty and well seasoned and spiced. Unfortunately they were over-priced given the small amount of meat/paneer contained in each dish which consisted mainly of sauce. For example, the Lamb dish had 8 very small cubes of meat in it, not even 1" square in size and a couple of those were mainly fat and gristle. The paneer dish had 4, 1" cubes and a further piece that had been cut in half. I usually have leftovers for another dinner from a takeaway order, but not this time.

Food was tasty and enjoyable, Service was rather slow, waited 30 mins for mains order to be taken and a further 40 mins. to get the mains. Atmosphere, poor acoustics, noisy due to a birthday party of 13 on the next table, couldn't have a conversation without shouting. Would order a home delivery next time as food was enjoyable.

Have visited here a few times now and it has become our favourite curry house .Greeted by Habibe sorry if his name isn’t spelt right .We had a lamb sagg and chicken tikka garlic chicken both beautiful tasty dishes .Habibe is an asset to the restaurant he is warm and welcoming and is happy to advise customers .Will return again thanks Habibe

Excellent birthday meal for my stepdad, food was great (I had Chicken Naga Special, Saag paneer & garlic naan, all superb), service was great, cake was brought out for us, candles and all. Would definitely recommend 👍

Wonderful food, relaxed and great service

I will never go again.after reading the good reviews, I tried Kismat for the first time and was very disappointed. The onion bahjis were tasteless, the lamb diopiaza wed bland and there was very little lamb in the dish. And they tried to charge for delivery when we were well within the 3 mile free delivery range.

The prices for most curries and sundries on the menu were way over what I'd expect from a basic choice of dishes. Without drinks or starters and with only 2 Pilar rice between 3, our meal came to £78. Then, the waiter took my money and didn't return with my change. Unfortunately the dishes weren't anything special, my partner said his tasted like a bland packet sauce and the chutneys were really awful (£7.60 for 4 poppadoms). Very disappointing.

Lovely food as always. They always go above and beyond for everyone. One of my family members ordered a curry that wasn’t to their liking and straight away they sent a new free of charge. I’d 100% recommend the Kismat.

Just enjoyed a delicious three course meal at the Kismat’s Wednesday Deal. Food was amazing, clean & tidy restaurant with the friendliest and welcoming staff, in particular Sam. Thank you Sam fir being so courteous. I enquired about a certain dish that had been taken off the menu but the staff didn’t hesitate to make the meal for me as nothing is a trouble for this restaurant. Highly recommended and definitely five stars! Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Fantastic meal! We were staying in Chester for the weekend to take children to the zoo and came here for dinner. They served us the best naan I’ve ever had (and we have some very good curry’s near us!) and a fantastic meal. The sharing starter was really good for meat eaters and non meat eaters and came with a really fresh salad. They were really helpful with my request for paneer instead of meat with my main meal. The staff were really friendly and genuine and really accommodating to the children. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

We moved to the area a year ago and love curry. We were unable to find a regular place. Just left first visit and already booked a table for next week. The staff were absolutely amazing and attentive. The food was mind blowing. We have now found our spot and will be returning with eager tummy’s. Thanks guys!

Service is fantastic and the food is so fresh. This definitely isn't your ordinary Indian and I'd recommend it to anyone, a rare gem on the Wirral. Didn't even take pics of the great presentation because I was too eager to eat it. Spicy curries were actually spicy and so flavourful, not just the usual sauce with chunks of meat.

I've lived in Irby for 20 years, not sure how long the Kismat Balti has been open, but I'm amazed I've never heard about it before. I can only speak for the takeaway food, but it was excellent, and knocks the spots off anything else locally. Service was exemplary. Dishes are reasonably priced. Today was my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last. Will try dining in next time.

1st time there great presentation of the food and taste was superb different flavours, H who was our waiter for the evening was very attentive to all our needs just check it out

We ordered a takeaway from here for the first time. Absolutely scrummy. The food is so fresh and tasty. None of our curries had any excess oil at the top like other places. This is definitely now our 'go to' Indian.

Clearly the previous reviewers don't understand why you bother to buy a takeaway curry. I ordered a "fairly spicy" curry, it wasn't! Either they'd forgotten to put in the chilli's or they don't want to upset anyones feelings. There was NO spice and very little flavour if I'm honest. Speedy delivery but won't be using again.

Collected take away tonight. I have to say was some of the best Indian food we have had in a long time. Would highly recommend

We have always ordered from Kismat as it was the best Indian on the Wirral! But our last 3 orders have been highly disappointing! The food has been cold and tasteless! We have also been missing several meals on our last 2 orders. We were offered no apology or discount on our food as we had to wait 15-20 mins for the forgotten food to arrive. Leaving the rest of our food cold! We will be giving kismat a break for the near future and we hope they sort these errors out soon!

We love Kismat!!! We often go in for a meal and love the Wednesday offer that they do - amazing value for money. During lockdown we have had a few takeaways from them and always have an amazing meal.When they are busier than usual they even phone to let you know the delivery might be a little late - fab touch!

We absolutely love this place....the food is amazing, so many delicious, tasty dishes. Sam, Maz and the rest of the guys are all so friendly and always make you feel very welcome....this restaurant is a 'Must' we highly recommend!!! Debs and Mike xx

I’ve ordered twice from Kismat in last 2 weeks. Oh wow! First class food and is now my go to Indian to order from . We have ordered poppadoms and chutneys, chicken pakora and onion bahjis and butter chicken with pilau rice and a pashwari nan. We had to eat the lot even though so stuffed . The flavours are the very best I have ever tasted and even now thinking of a 3 rd order for the weekend .

Have known Maz the owner/manager since he was a student working in his family restaurant in West Kirby. The Kismat combines friendly efficient service with high quality food and the special banquet mid week offer is great value. Highly recommended for service, food and pleasant ambience.

Absolutely outstanding cuisine, the food was of great quality and the building was beautiful to look at. The waiters were very accommodating and this was complimented with the scrumptious food prepared by the chef. Faultless in every aspect, would recommend to everyone!!!

Love this place - great food and great service every time.

Our whole family love the food at Kismat. They are wonderful with kids too, very accommodating. My teenagers always choose to come here for birthday meals. We highly recommend the food, either eating in or take away.

Good choice on menu and everything Tasty and nicely presented. Staff friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere and a bonus that you can bring your own drinks. My Narangi was the best one I've tasted in a long time and I would also recommend the mixed kebab. Will be definitely revisiting, we had a lovely evening with friends.

Visited here with my son. Nice, cosy atmosphere. Liked the fact that you can bring your own booze. Staff was friendly enough and promptly took our orders.Poppadums arrived quickly wth a variety of sauces (including Sam's special sauce which is nothing to write home about).My son had the lamb dupiaza (which he said was OK) with pilau rice. I had the Kismat special which was described on the menu as "chick peas, king prawn, chicken and egg". It was mostly chicken and chick pea curry with ONE king prawn - fairly tasty though. I also had Sam's special rice which was greasy and disappointing - I can't understand why other reviewers rave about it.We also shared a peshwari naan bread which was very nice.Asked for the bill twice and, after 20 minutes, decided to go and pay at the till.This is a place to go occasionally if you live locally and couldn't be bothered cooking one night. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit.

First time we have been, went with a group and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff good atmosphere and great food. We had a variety of dishes and everyone was impressed with the quality of the food. You can take your own alcohol which keeps the cost down. The naan breads were so fresh and cooked to perfection. It was busy so I would recommend booking in advance.

Service was dreadful. Waited ages for our order to be taken. Had to go up to a member of staff and ask them to take our order. Prices are different on Internet. Good good but small portions. Staff were not very friendly.

Really really need to sort the toilets out !!

Brilliant food and service as usual

Atmosphere fantastic, staff friendly food very tasty and beautifully presented. Today was my first time there. My family and I will be going there regularly. My gamily and I enjoyed our day very much.😁

Chickens love it! Bought this as a present for my neighbours new chickens, and they love it... nailed to the side of the coop, the chickens peck at it all day and play tunes. Great little chicken toy!! its wood, so screws in easy... would be great for a child too :)

This is my favourite place to eat, it's also bring your own booze which makes it even better. The hot butter chicken is to die for. I've introduced many of my friends and family to Kismat who have also agreed that it's the best Indian they have had. Sam and his two Son's run the restaurant extremely well as they give help and guidance to new clientele who are unsure what to order. They are very hospitable and provide wine coolers, bottle openers and ice for your alcoholic beverages. They always sort me out with a booth which is a nice touch.I would urge anyone thinking about visiting to pick up the phone and book your table. Looking forward to my next visit on Friday.

I have been coming to Kismat for a couple of years after a friend recommended it to me and now I wouldn't go anywhere else. The food is so tasty and full of flavour. Especially the Chicken tikka masala. You are made to feel welcome and the atmosphere is really good. Never have I ever been disappointment. Just a small side note to all the staff, thank you for your hospitality :)

Fantastic, Joaquin Phoenix was phenomenal, defo oscar worth performance, tod Phillip's has come along way from Hangover. Only downside was the McDonalds next door was out of mcflurrys
