The best restaurants in Ashton upon Mersey Trafford North West

I used to live in Manchester and visited this place regularly. I moved away 8 years ago and decided to visit on the trip to Manchester this week but the shop was closed. I messaged on Facebook to be told they do collection and delivery only. They fit me in last minute and I am so grateful they did. They are honestly the best cupcakes I have had and would recommend them to anyone. If you are local or visiting then contact them and put in an order, you won’t regret it.

BOB CATERED FOR OUR JOINT 70 TH BIRTHDAY PARTY. HE CAME TO OUR HOUSE TO DISCUSS REQUIREMENTS AND HE 'GOT US' IMMEDIATELY. NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH FOR HIM. THE BUFFET WAS BEAUTIFULLY LAID OUT AND EVERYTHING TASTED WONDERFUL. ALL OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WEREVERY IMPRESSED. I WOULD RECOMMEND BOB AND HIS TEAM TO EVERYONE AND ANYONE .

Fantastic meal at the Perfect Match, I wasn’t going to have the wine pairing but after the brilliant explanation by Francesca as to why that specific wine had been recommended I went for it and so glad I did! The Mussels with Nduja were gorgeous, followed by ‘Fish and Chips’ .. all delicious. I will definitely be eating there again. Sorry no photos .. I was too busy eating 😊

I went to Manchester to visit a friend, and someone in our WhatsApp group recommended Thai Chill. It was definitely a great choice! The Hainanese chicken rice was delicious, the beef brisket was super tender and full of flavour, and the Hong Kong-style milk tea tasted really authentic. But the highlight of the meal was the service—absolutely amazing! The lady boss was so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If I visit Manchester again, I will definitely come back. Even my son told me this place is worth an encore!

Fish and chips are £9.50 and coppice chippy is £5.80 I don't understand the prices are so big a difference of £3.70 is huge The only bonus is they have a cafe part

I chose this place as a halfway spot for my friend and I to have breakfast together. The food was lovely. We both had veggie full breakfasts, with generous portions, not at all greasy, loely thick toast and a choice of how we had our eggs Thanks to Flo who cooked, and the other lovely, friendly staff for being so welcoming and accommodating. Top place. Would defo recommend

Really poor today in value for money and service. There were only 2 staff today and the cafe was so busy, they did a great job with what they were able to do. I went in for sandwiches, they said it would be a while for a take out. I was there waiting for 25 minutes, customers where told there was a 20 minute wait for coffee. The amount of people who left without buying was immense. Once I got my sandwiches the amount of filling was very disappointing and not value for money. The food coming out looked delicious, and both staff members were chasing their tales. Well done to you both

Lovely little pub with the best atmosphere. Massive shout out to Emily and Alfie behind the bar. Warm, welcoming and friendly throughout!!

Me and my children were visiting my dad and he recommended coming here to watch Manchester United. We decided to stay for food and it was lovely. Steak was amazing, sea bass was lovely and my son enjoyed his burger. The pudding was delightful. The only reason I didn’t give 5 star was because we missed out on the Sunday roast. We’ll be back soon.
