I made the reservation weeks ago for the anniversary dinner, and it’s totally worth it✨ The food is amazing, no matter the small dish or the main. Just one fyi, the portions for the main is perfectly for me (bird size stomach), but maybe too small for a man. but i do recommend to try more on the appetiser, they are so nice 👍🏻👍🏻

Just a stunning meal all round! Went for my birthday with a friend, not for the first time. I had veg antipasti and steak and he had rabbit and guinea fowl with matching wine, all of which tasted incredible. Portions sizes are healthy but dessert is a must. He had a cheese board and I had vegan ice cream - again, gorgeous. Wine was explained well enough that I (a teetotaller) found it as interesting as my friend did. Service was friendly and they couldn't do enough for us. They even gave us a wee surprise as it was my birthday. The sort of experience that ensures many return visits. Highly, highly recommend!

Do not be fooled by the unassuming location. It is the best restaurant in Manchester. Do not miss out on the wine pairing- you will taste wines you haven’t tried and be the better for it. The food is the best balance between finesse and heartiness.

We had an absolutely incredible experience celebrating our 2nd anniversary at the Perfect Match. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were embraced like family. Andrea, who not only co-owns the establishment but also serves as the sommelier, delivered a level of service that was truly impeccable. His extensive knowledge of wines expertly complemented our meal, and we savored a glass of Prosecco from his family's vineyard. Jazz, the head chef and co-owner, surpassed our high expectations with her culinary prowess, especially with the venison main course. It was nothing short of a masterpiece, with the venison cooked to a perfect medium-rare, exquisitely tender and flavorful. The accompanying rich, velvety sauce was a symphony of flavors that took us on a delightful journey with every bite. The mussels cooked with Nudja were equally delightful, and we were pleasantly surprised by the perfectly seasoned Ox Heart, served pink with a creamy mayo. Another standout was the Guineafowl and mushroom pie, featuring tender, flavorsome guineafowl enveloped in a rich, buttery pastry—a truly delectable creation. What elevated our evening even further was the thoughtful gesture of celebrating our anniversary with a complimentary dessert that spelled out "Happy Anniversary." This attention to detail was heartwarming and left an indelible mark on our special day. I cannot sing the praises of the Perfect Match enough; there's a well-deserved reason they come highly recommended by Michelin. Lovely early evening dinner. Great food and service. Parking can be tricky.

Excellent menu and wine pairings. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere is fine. But we had centre table which was close to other guests. This made hearing some of our own conversations a little difficult at times. Definitely will return , but ask for a different table next time.

Simply stunning. Exceptional food, a super, warm host and to top it off, turns out it’s brilliant for gluten free diners too. So wonderful to see a local neighbourhood restaurant like this thriving (we went in a Wednesday night and it was busy). Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

great little spot!! maybe a bit unassuming from the outside, but very cosy inside with lovely staff and a fun gimmick. have been here twice, food has been beyond amazing both times!!! i'd definitely try going for the perfect match for at least one of your courses to get the full experience :)

Only tried this place because our daughter started working there. Well what a great place it is. Beautifully presented classy seasonal food by Jazz and if you like your wines, Andreá will present you with his most suitable wine. You don’t have to be a wine buff to enjoy this place it is just a nice little restaurant for good quality food and wine. Particularly their Prosecco! We went on a Sunday for the Sunday lunch which is perfect but book early it is very popular. Thank you Jazz and Andreá💕

Such good service. Time was taken to explain the wine menu and there's so much pride in what they have to offer. Food was outstanding and I could not fault anything. The perfect dining experience from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and I can't recommend enough.

A really impressive dining experience. I'd heard good things about this place before but it seemed pretty unprepossessing from the outside with being on the main road and it had never really drawn me in until now. Once inside though, it was a lovely atmosphere with just the right level of busyness and the food was probably the best I've tasted in Sale. Good service from the staff / owner too. (Being a sceptical sort, I'd thought the specific pairing of wines with meals was going to be a bit of a gimmick or a ruse to sell more wine but I was wrong again as it really worked.) Will definitely go again.

Look, the standard of cookery here is outstanding and Sale is lucky to have this restaurant (most chefs in Manchester, in my experience, don't know what good food tastes like). However, some of the portion sizes are just too small. I had the monkfish which was £22.00 and was the size of a starter. There was no starch that came with it. Yes it was perfectly cooked but if you serve something delicious diners are going to want more of it....not just a taste. The soft shell crab was delicious as was the Beef Wellington. Will come back but my advice to the owners is if you are having to dish out bread to fill your guests up something is not right. A lot of fine dining restaurants do that but please just make the portions bigger!

Wow! Last night was incredible! Food, drinks and service are an absolute 10/10. It was our first time visiting The Perfect Match last night for my partners birthday and it certainly won’t be the last. Highly recommend a visit to this little gem.

Lovely family run place- husbands run the service and Wife’s cook. Lovely warm service. Amazing bone marrow starter and also mussels in Nduja sauce. The beef roast mains was excellent with nice Yorkshire pudding and roast carrots Had a lovely barolo which was well priced. Nice cosy ambience. Friend and interactive service and Waitering .

Independent restaurant in Sale, run by a couple. One is chef, the other sommelier. Truly it’s The Perfect Match. Local produce on the menu, with a great couple who have trained under some of the best in the business at The Savoy, London now back home in the north cooking great food.

The best roast I've had in a long time in Manchester! The pork crackling was amazing and the rioja they'd chosen to go with the pork was so tasty!

Top quality food, small but very well presented main courses, all flavours very well balanced, seasoned perfectly. Wines to match all main courses but I didn't try these. We sat in the bar area through which you can see the kitchen. Everything looked clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went on a Saturday evening for a treat, We had an fantastic experience. The menu was interesting and each of the dishes was so well put together and delicious. Each course was explained and came with superb wine pairings from the owners family vineyard. My only regret was driving but they accommodated me with a small taste of the paired wines. Next time we are going for a Sunday roast, two meals and a good bottle of wine for £40. Great fine dining addition to Sale.

When I say, phenomenal, I would argue one of the nicest restaurants I’ve been to in Manchester, the service is warm and from the heart, the food feels like it has been cooked with passion, the duck fell of the bone, 9/10 the sauces were amazing and everything had such flavour, Andres was our waiter and this is his business, knows his stuff and was an excellent host, over all experience 9/10, they ran out of the lamb cutlets.

Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was clean and smelled good. The staff and greeter were very nice. Our waiter was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and plentiful. The wine choice and knowledge was exceptional..Then we had dessert and that was really good choices from cheese..cakes and ice cream. all delicious. Great atmosphere spent with really nice people..Treated like family 👪 ❤

Such a lovely place with a wonderful owner. We had my husband's birthday meal here on Wednesday evening. It's great to have places doing kids menu, my 6 year old ate all his starter and main. Not many people know this little gem of a restaurant in Sale, Manchester that has a Michelin Star. It looks like a café but the food is amazing. I had my wedding reception there and I went there again to day to celebrate completing my master's degree. If you want to treat someone special this is a fantastic place to take them.

Absolutely brilliant experience. The food was perfect and very tasty. Wine to match each dish ordered, was perfect and also you were given a short introduction to the wine served. They staff are very friendly and helpful. Definately a place to revisit. One of the best restaurants.

What a brilliant idea (if you are not driving) - individually chosen wine selections for every item on the menu from starters to dessert and they all pair beautifully (at least all those that our party were able to try). Obviously, the bill can mount up if you have 3 courses and the chosen wine with every course but the restaurant is still good value for money given the quality of everything. I would rather eat here every 2 months than some cheaper places every month. Definitely worth putting on the list for birthdays and anniversaries.

The best way to celebrate our anniversary, the food was gorgeous to the view and the palate, from starters to pudding. All accompanied by one of the most curated selection of wines I've seen in Manchester. Andrea was a perfect host, his experience as a somellier transpired in the passion he put in the wine description. The Michelin mention it's very deserved and I believe they'll go far!

Full marks to this excellent new restaurant in Sale. Andrea and Jazz have combined to make this by far the most enjoyable place to eat in the area. Knowledgeable, polite and friendly without being too imposing, their wine selections compliment their food amazingly well. We have been living in Sale for over ten years and were surprised it didn't have a first class restaurant but now it has arrived. We had our small wedding reception here. Andrea and Jazz were great, helping us to plan the day and delivering a fantastic meal in a happy and vibrant atmosphere. I imagine evening meals are more peaceful - we will see because we will be back!

Just great food paired with great wine

In case you are a meat-darling, this spot is an absolute necessity visit!! We ate there half a month prior on a work day. We were an organization of 4 and we just wouldn't/couldn't quit remarking on how stunning everything was!! The meat was totally uncommon! So delicate and succulent, blades were pointless! Also, the above sentence applies to my steak which I requested all around done! The hand crafted prosecco is truly outstanding (if not awesome) I have at any point attempted. Also, we should not begin on the pastries... 4 individuals wound up sharing 7 of them! :D Furthermore, aside from the food, the assistance is unimaginable too. Cordial as well as learned. The wine proposal was right on target for the hard to please (me that is)! With everything taken into account we had a phenomenal evening and we will return! :)
