Only pop in for a quick pint or two of Guinness which is perfect. Lovely staff and friendly guests

I popped in The Bulls Head Hotel , hadn’t been in for a good while . Was served by a very professional member of The Bar Team , Sarah , who I believe to be The Bar Manager . Jan was also socialising In-house, so it was lovely to have a pleasant word , and around some lifelong friends . Most of all I felt very welcomed , comfortable and was able to relax . Both the hospitality , and the customer service level were totally unparalleled . Thank you so much .

Haven't eaten here so can't directly comment on the food, but it's a great "local pub" with friendly staff and always a welcome attitude.

Brilliant pub I've been going in the bulls head Sale since I turned 18 I'm 59 now it's not quite as good as it was back then but saying that nothing Is these days

The place is great if you drink and drive, the owner sticks up for them and actively bars and sacks anyone that reports the drink driver. He'd rather have money in the till than care about people's safety

So I'm giving this review because of the landlord and his wife. My son had a meltdown on the main road. I had to sit on the floor with him to keep him safe (he's non verbal and autistic. This is also rare too). Anyway they xould hear him at the pub and the landlord and his wife was concerned. She came out and kept us company. She also took the edge off too. I know we didn't go in for drinks but if the landlord and his wife are like this it tells me how welcoming their pub is. Thank you so much ♥️

Was enjoying a good night but then I was accused of stealing somebody’s pint,as the the table next to us ‘disappeared’ I thought it was good pub ‘etiquette’ to keep the pint safe until somebody claimed it,30 minutes passed and nobody claimed it but then a guy from behind the bar accused me of stealing a pint,as I do not drink lager it was very unnecessary but he still insisted that I ‘stole’ the pint.Never going back in this pub which is a shame!

Fantastic pub - I've never had a bad night there, the drinks are usually cheaper than Wetherspoons, too! Easily one of my favourite places in Sale to have a few cocktails in and a dance 😃

Staff are great here but can get a bit rowdy at times!

Mental pub this place but bloody awesome. Staff and punters were more than helpful. The odd little pratt thinking they are the dogs b#####ks but there's always one 🤔 born thay way. Entertainment was top and outside seating area had large screen sports TV there. Doorman were also pretty cool

Good place nice vibes refreshing pint

Mistakenly went in for a pint on the way home. My friend and our partners were treated like common criminals by security staff who demanded to look in my partner's bag and purse. Was then subjected to being poked with a metal detector by incompetent security. Once inside we realized the venue was a complete hole and left.

Nice place to have a relaxing drink or too, very friendly and helpful staff too!!

Didn't enjoy atmosphere cause of obvious things

Agree with previous reviews nothing to say really just a horrible place, suggest you avoid. We went in here last week and we found it quite dirty and in need of an uplift. We noticed a few male groups congregate inside and outside. Not our type of night out.

I very much like the prices charged for drinks in this pub which are probably the cheapest in Sale, Gtr Manchester. I usually order a pint of Pepsi to drink. Because I don't have a natural liking for alcohol.

Always a great place to go for a pint after work

You get what you expect. Not the most sophisticated place to be, but it is good value for money, cheap drinks, especially when the disco night is on. Full of sociable people, who are all friendly and chatty. Overall, a good experience for the price paid.

It is so refreshing to come across a pub that is traditional and very popular with its locals. Refreshingly honest and unsophisticated (a compliment) it is what it is. The staff were cordial and attentive. It is not possible to order food other than snacks such as crisps - but the range of alcohol is good. The cognac offered is Courvoisier - and at £1.80 a nip it's a real change from airport terminals and posher places. The heating in Bulls Head is almost perfect - not too hot and not too cold. We found the whole atmosphere cosy. Just passing through to view a comedy taking place at the Waterside Arts venue in Sale - just up the road from the pub which sits on a corner of the A56 and the main shopping thoroughfare through Sale. A few steps up into one corner of the Bulls Head is an area with a huge television screen which is dedicated to Horse Racing across the country - the noise level was low and did not affect our enjoyment of the pub per se.

Only went in here as A friend insisted on meeting in here. Where do I start. Beer selection Limited and Bog standard Fosters , Strongbow All the piss poor keg beers You'd expect, The Neanderthals congregated around the pool table deserve a David Attenborough documentary about the Missing link. The only good thing about the place is the loud music CD playing included various songs from the Sex Pistols which was very apt As there most popular Album was Never Mind the Bollocks . And The Bulls head is a load of old Bollocks . Save your money

Bit dirty but nice atmosphere decent people and music most the time, just needs a bit of a scrub other than that it's a typical pub that's open as late as the bars in that area. Been here many times.

Is a brilliant pub! Being a southerner was a little apprehensive about it but couldn't of been more wrong! Met some great people and not laughed so much in a long time. Chris and Julia were fantastic, would definitely go there next time I visit Manchester

I moved to this area 5 weeks ago and decided to "pop in" for a quick drink. I was made to feel very welcome by the friendly bar staff, and quite shocked how reasonable the prices were, without compromising quality. The "natives" were equally as friendly and I was made to feel very welcome. The landlord and landlady offer a variety of evening entertainment including quiz, pool, and karaoke nights, whilst maintaining a very tight, no nonsense ship. Fantastic little community, under one roof. Definitely would recommend.

This was my very first local pub I use to visit every weekend before I moved away from sale.

Cheap and cheerful, serve food too

Oh dear...I have a tendency to support local outlets wherever possible, and would not criticise unjustly as restaurants have customers, potential custom, staff & overheads to pay. Unfortunately, The Bulls Head fully justifies this poor review for the food. Took the family on a Friday tea-time. This was a big mistake. There were (at 17:30) over friendly and very possibly drunk customers wanting to make conversation with me and my family. I ushered them to a table, which was rather "sticky". They couldn't find the chef for our order, which instilled some panic into the bar staff (and me). Order placed, and none of us could finish our meal. An example being the rump steak that appeared to have been cooked from frozen and braised. The rest of the plate was pre prepared and not heated enough or from frozen. Went home & picked some fish & chips and knocked spots off our experience at The Bulls Head. You have been warned!!

Only come for the Pedigree! Beer "garden" in the shade (just a back yard, really). Friendly staff who remember you! Recommended.

This place is rank, went on a Saturday night, like entering a Twilight zone, moody weird atmosphere, tough looking women, every one was drunk( I know it's a pub but an out of your head kind of moody drunk, like someone was going to kick off at any minute) thought I was going to be robbed, stabbed or drugged. The Dj was awful, playing rubbish pop from the 90's - seriously mate update your play list! Stood in old sick on the floor of what can only be described as a disgusting toilet. I like old pubs with good character but this was rough, not just around the edges, completely rough and intimidating. Not to mention dirty, grubby and smelly. Even the barmaid passed me a number for a taxi to get the hell out of there. If you can not avoid, Bring your stab vest.

This is by far the best pub in sale, great beer, great staff, got a good vibe to the place, one of the cheapest pubs in sale have everything you need, sky sports, Bt. sports, karaoke on Thursdays and Sundays and disco Friday and Saturday nights till late, they also have a pool team on a Tuesday night, sometimes get a few idiots in on Friday and Saturday nights but don't all pubs the door staff deal with those idiots very well make you feel safe, so if you want to find a great pub with good atmosphere, cheap beer that is also great can tell they look after it very well get yourself to this pub you will love it.

Cheap & cheerful & full of locals. Good place to watch sport. Nearly every Friday & Saturday night I see a fight outside so I wouldn't take the family

This used to be a great pub to go in, we recently went in on a Saturday night, the DJ was really good, the beer was ok could do with maybe cleaning the pipes, keep good beer and you get the customers in! could do with a bit of a make over, we still had a good night the atmosphere was good!

Having tried other pubs for lunch, we returned to our old favourite the Bulls Head at Ogden, Newhey, Rochdale. The food was as usual excellent.

Not a place that you were want to,visit once, let alone twice. Grotty and grubby. Looks as though it needs completely refurbishing.

Went in their for a night out on Friday, looking forward to being out as I don't generally get to and had the most dreadful time by the end of the night I may have gone to a football match two horrible girls were hitting another young girl in the toilets for one and then the bouncers spoke to two young men in a horrible manner being an did nothing to help the girl who was attacke in the toilet they are ment to protect the young people of the cummunity and Infact they were just as bad, what I can say is that the music is good and bar staff are lovely but just in the wrong pub !! Never again
