BOB CATERED FOR OUR JOINT 70 TH BIRTHDAY PARTY. HE CAME TO OUR HOUSE TO DISCUSS REQUIREMENTS AND HE 'GOT US' IMMEDIATELY. NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH FOR HIM. THE BUFFET WAS BEAUTIFULLY LAID OUT AND EVERYTHING TASTED WONDERFUL. ALL OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WEREVERY IMPRESSED. I WOULD RECOMMEND BOB AND HIS TEAM TO EVERYONE AND ANYONE .

Bob is incredible, we couldn’t recommend him more. He made a delicious 3 course menu for my Sister’s birthday party. Very professional to deal with and also accommodating. Would happily ask him to cater for us again.

I arranged for Eggintons to provide a private chef experience at my house for a surprise birthday present. Bob is a really nice guy and the whole experience was fantastic. The food was delicious and Bob took the time to tell us about each of the dishes as they were being served. At the end of the evening my kitchen was spotless. I’d recommend Eggintons for a private event.

We hired Bob for a private dinner party. The whole experience was incredible. Starting off, we crafted the menu together. Bob suggested some beautiful dishes and took onboard my suggestions. He arrived an hour early to set up and get everything prepped. The food itself was cooked to perfection, plated beautiful and tasted spectacular. Each dish was done with care and attention. I would absolutely hire Bob again and recommend it to anyone who is looking to make their night special and personalised. He brought his own plates, cutlery etc so there were no dishes to deal with after either! He cleaned up after himself and the whole experience was so special.

Fabulous afternoon tea catered at home for a special birthday. Everything was perfect. Better than any restaurant afternoon tea I've ever had. Spectacular. Bob is lovely too.

You can walk by the cafe but you`d be missing an extremely well -run restaurant - superb food ( a great menu) , excellent customer service and a brilliant quality/price ratio.We eat in and have takeaways : our favourites are : breakfast, omelettes, fish finger butties, soups and almost everything on the menu .By the way , both Bob and Scott are not cooks but incredibly experienced chefs . Don`t walk past - try it.

We had an afternoon tea for 6 delivered and set up in our home. It was an amazing experience enjoyed by all. Bob brought everything we needed and collected the plates and crockery afterwards. Ate there last night. Group of 14 for birthday celebrations. Mostly over 60s.....even 70s!! Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. Would recommend highly to anyone. Thanks for a lovely birthday !

There is only one word to describe Egginton’s food … Fantastic Egginton’s small cafe in Sale on Ashton lane is a hidden gem , the food is always excellent and the staff lovely . Chef Bob is excellent . But I also use them for all my outside catering needs and they go above and beyond , always amazing food

What a lovely little gem of a cafe, service was phenomenal the lady who served us was so sweet and polite. The food was also beautiful, I had been craving smoked salmon and poached eggs so was happy with our find! Will definitely be back again!

Maybe the best eggs Benedict I have ever tasted. I’m from New York City, and came here based on the reviews. It’s better than anything I’ve had in nyc. Also, the owners were there and they were just delightful. The other patrons were a delight too. This place is a dream. I’m hoping to go again tomorrow before I leave town

The food is good! I highly recommend the all day breakfast with brown toast, that the eggs and mushroom are my favourite. Staff is nice and helpful. The environment is cozy and beautiful. That’s a breakfast that you cannot miss.

From very first contact Bob couldn’t have been more helpful, we had a large number of guests coming and wanted to cater for them, Bob worked out a perfect menu for a great price. The food was delivered to us hot at the time we agreed and was delicious, there was barely a scrap left as everyone enjoyed it so much. He arranged for the dirty pots to be collected which took away the stress of cleaning after 30 people. I wouldn’t hesitate to use or recommend Bob and his team again, thanks for such a great job.

Found this little gem yesterday when visiting the area and stopped for lunch. Wow, unexpected delight. The ambiance was friendly and welcoming and the server was really polite and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Cooking Tutorial Hand on! Thank Bob & Team including my family (7).We had such an enjoyable evening. Bob's demonstration of how to cook a selection of ingredients based on my request of Spanish/Mexican style foods. "Oh my word, what a wizard Bob is" . We had aprons on for filleting fish, kneading bread, making Guacamole, cooking other side dishes. Over all a fantastic evening preparing, cooking and dining with my family inside Egginton's perfect birthday celebration.

Fantastic secret golden gem of an eatery . I can not recommend this small cozy cafe enough ! Food is of the highest quality you could wish for and definitely the best in Sale. Extremely clean , friendly and Chef Bob is an absolute delight to talk too His passion for good food is what makes this place exceptional . Nothing is too much trouble . He is a highly qualified and experienced Chef and truly enjoys producing amazing food with the Best ingredients I love to sample his specials of the week as well as his regular Menu . I don’t have a favourite dish , although when squid is in the menu I can not resist it ! I have used Chef Bob and his team for personal home dinner parties too , my friends who like me regularly travel around the world will always ask me to book us a table when they are visiting uk. If you you are in Sale or the Cheshire or Manchester areas I can’t recommend this amazing cafe enough . If you want a special dinner party or home event , wedding , christening or whatever give Bob a call , he won’t disappoint you You will find me in the cafe at least twice a week done 5 days a week . AMAZING! Found this place after looking at an unassuming front for a while - i tried the chicken satay and fries and i knew he was good!!! Then i booked him for my 50th party - wow - out of this world - kimchi prawns nearly went before i got one! Pork belly, bhajis, halloumi and smashed avocado - gone are the days of sandwiches, vol au vents and quiche! Please try him and his team, thank you Bob, from Gina xx

Great selection, beautifully cooked and presented and everyone is so friendly. I'm working through the menu and not found a dish I didn't love - salt and pepper skin on chips are a must!

Best brunch in Town. My husband and I are regular customers and always enjoyed the food and service here. Highly recommended my favourite - crispy tofu vegetarian breakfast and the Korean style boneless chicken thighs. Lovely and homely small café with hearty food.

What a star find. Thanks Trip Advisor! It's 2021 Travellers award and reviews live up to their reputation. So many delicious options on the menu. We chose home made fish finger sandwich and cod and chilli sticky rice balls. Both were delicious. Service was welcoming and pleasant. Later we found out this cafes secret! Bob the owner and also the chef, had years of experience working in Michelin starred restaurants. Hence the quality and tastiness of our food. We will certainly be going back.

Always so great here! Food is always cooked amazing and I have never had a bad meal. The menu is varied and everything I have tried has been brilliant. They are very dog friendly, my dog loves coming because he gets a free sausage!

Lunch at Eggintons is sometimes the sole light in a very difficult day. The food is always freshly cooked and absolutely delicious, the staff are warm and friendly and they always remember I like extra chillies. I've never had a disappointing meal from here. The salt and pepper chips are the best things in existence.

Had friends stay from Scotland this week and wanted to go out for a meal, something different. Heard about Eggintons and read the reviews so decided to call. Bob was so helpful and said he could accommodate our party and came up with 3 bespoke menus to choose from. We went for the below, Starter was Beef Cheek Raviloi, Cauliflower Purée and jus, Main was Tandoori Chicken, Madras Sauce, Bombay Potatoes and Homemade Naan, Dessert was Banana Fritters, Sweet Cream, Caramel Sauce and Strawberry Purée. The food was phenomenal and it tasted as good as it looks. This little gem in Ashton on Mersey is a must visit place. Bob caters for private dinner parties at your home as well which is good to know.

Fantastic service from start to finish!! I contacted Bob with fairly short notice to enquire about a buffet for a garden party. Bob was fantastic and created a menu based on my request of a Mediterranean theme. The food was delicious! Everyone said how wonderful the food was. Delivered straight to my door,on time with actual plates and cutlery. Thank you Bob,we will definitely be using your service again!

I really can't recommend Egginton's Cafe enough. The food is incredible! It's restaurant quality at cafe prices. Pictured is the lemonade and soy chicken and the salt and pepper fries and I really didn't want them to end. Beyond the incredible food, the staff are really friendly, everything's environmentally conscious (wooden cutlery, paper bags, cardboard boxes) and it feels covid secure. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

I meant to take photos but all the food went too quickly! The arancini was so good, I could eat only that forever but we really enjoyed everything that we got and we'll definitely be getting food from here again. Thanks Bob!

Great place. It's one of them hidden treasures offering quality sourced food at a great price and its in a nice location in sale. Salt and pepper chips and wings are to die for. Staff are mint and make you feel welcome.

Absolutely love this place! Such a lovely atmosphere every time I go in. Always welcomed right away and such attention is paid to detail, e.g. asking if I'd like the spicy mayo for a dish. (I don't handle spice very well so that was appreciated!) Bob is an absolute legend. Both his food and banter are fantastic! And I believe it is Lincoln that usually is up front when I go in is also absolutely lovely and does a fab coffee. You're never getting rid of me from this awesome little cafe! Haha!

Really knowledgeable about gluten free foods and coeliac disease which is very reassuring. GF cheese on toast is divine! Appears to be a lot of GF items available, which is a rarity. Would very much recommend.
