The Volunteer in Trafford

This is a real smashing pub that I have drunk in many times. The locals are friendly and the pub does a cracking pint of mild which is hard to get hold of these days. Highly recommended

friendly staff and the beer was kept in good condition the prices are very low all in all an excellent place to visit

Me and Husband called in Volunteer Pub Sale for a beer. Do not take book by it's cover, Nice welcome from Landlady beer was served by pleasant staff, We noticed they served Sunday Lunch, So we went a couple of weeks later we had Lamb dinner delicious and served with 4 veg, and I would give it 9/10 ..since then the family have been and love the food,dinner and breakfast,they find the value fantastic

the dinner was lovely but the potatoes were like rocks i'm surprised my teeth are still in one piece :(

enjoyed a few pints of mild in this cracking pub--the beer was well kept --has this place been done up recently ?---maybe the brewery are spending some money on their stock of pubs as this is the third I've been in that's had facelift

Excellent place, great value for money food and drink. The landlady's husband is an enormous Scottish man, must weigh at least 30 stone, but by God can that man cuddle. Will be back for more.

Ten minute walk from Travelodge. Beer good. Staff friendly.Does food,didn't try it. Bolts bitter £2.40 pt. Wots not to like

Good value for money and very nice landlady and staff. Lovely food at a great price. Nice atmosphere and lots going on at the evening time - Darts, Pool, Quiz night, Karaoke, and Sunday afternoon music.
