Being a local resident, I pass the Café numerous times per week, either in the car or walking the dog, and I've actually been for coffee on several occasions in the past. This time my wife and myself popped in for a spot of lunch. It was a warm day so we took the opportunity of dining al fresco on the outside seating. I have to make special mention of how pleasant, helpful and professional the waitress was. She tended to all our needs in swift and helpful manner. I opted for the Turkish Sausage Panini, my wife went for the lamb meatball wrap. Both were absolutely delicious and served with a fresh, crisp salad. We both kept repeating to each other " why don't we come here more often", and going forward we certainly will. A lovely spot for lunch and highly recommended.

This afternoon, I passed by Hale and decided to have lunch at a cafe there. I was a bit disappointed when I saw that they didn't have a beef burger on the menu, so I opted for the lamb steak burger instead, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise! The lamb steak was crumbed and fried, crispy on the outside and juicy inside - absolutely top-notch! My initial disappointment vanished completely. I also took away a chocolate cake and a cheesecake, both of which were excellent. I'll definitely visit again if I have the chance!

Male staff upstairs very patronising and rude, rolled his eyes as we ordered as my friend is a fussy eater and didn’t want much on her breakfast.

Lovely clean attractive cafe but so be warned the bacon is actually Turkey. Guessing this is due to the owners not having pork but anyway just a heads up that’s all. Staff most pleasant and welcoming.

Good breakfast / and lunch quick service

I visited on a Tuesday afternoon with my Mum & our two dogs for a drink. We were going to go to Costa but decided to go here and sit outside as a change. We were so glad we did! Staff came over right away to take our order and were friendly and extremely helpful. Iced drinks were delicious. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning :)

Had family breakfast this morning. Restaurant was full. Nice clean simple deco. Quickly got seated. Service was so quick. Even though they are busy food came quickly, My little boy also noticed that. Food quality! Soooo goood. Sooo fresh. Highly recommend

Visited today for lunch. Fantastic place that caters for everyone including your dog 🐶. Very popular with the locals, with great indoor and outdoor seating.

I didnt want fries with my sandwich, but they said it is the same price without the fries. This makes no sense, and is clearly a money grabbing policy. Rethink this !! it ruins everything knowing you are only after money.

This is a great cafe but I reserve my visits for lunch only ever since they refused to sell bacon and pork sausages. I just don’t like the taste of them so breakfast is a no no for me. Apparently the new owner is a Muslim ex footballer. It’s his cafe and his choice. It’s also mine not to have breakfast there.

One of the staff was very rude to another member of staff (was a manager) The way she spoke to her and the things she said to her were horrible wouldn’t recommend going Think they need to learn how to speak to people with respect

We called in on a busy Saturday lunch time. The cafe was busy with a lively atmosphere. We ordered drinks, which arrived promptly followed by the food. The BLT sandwich was amazing. Will definitely return.

Went there for coffee and snacks in the evening. The food portion was quite big. The chicken nuggets were nice and tender and the fires were spot on. The main items looked a bit expensive on the menu. Would like to try them out before reviewing. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful experience at Village Cafe Altrincham, Lovely seating upstairs, very spacious and clean, great customer service and the food was delicious. The cheesecake though absolutely stole the show! I found out about this place 4 years ago, and have been enjoying the freshness of the food, coffee, and desserts ever since ! Modest owners are willing to do a wonderful job, and they are succeeding so ! Thanks to the talented chefs and friendly staff =)

Ordered smashed avocado on toast at £8 on deliveroo and it literally was 2 standard pieces of brown toast with an apologetic spread of smashed avocado I'd be ashamed to even call this a complete dish, let alone charge £8. Avoid at all costs!

This used to be my favourite cafe. Since it has been taken over by new owners it’s terrible. It was good quality food and now it’s cheap Turkish alternatives. Really ruined a great place!

Was our favourite place for Full English Breakfast, but personally not liking the Turkish alternative breakfast they have started doing in replacement. Other items on the menu are good but won’t be going for breakfast any longer

1 time i saw this coffe shop serving good Italian coffe i started buying every day coffe and 4 days in row this guy was serving me only 4 personal staff members are very nice but and 5 guy who is in general behind counter on coffe machine is very unpolite and speaks in turkish language front of the me so I dont understand what hes was saying but i understood whats he was saying talking bad on me in hes turkish language very bad mentality and rudeness speaking infront of the client in turkish on client in bad way client who spending money every day i stopped going for period of time and went back but this idiot started again 2 days ago he made comment same low comments in hes turkish language low attitude mentality and non professional attitude but this stupid employe dont know I fully know and understand hes language hes uneducated person and I wanted to confront him and put him in hes place but I chose not to waste my time on him lowering my self to hes level he don't worth it I wont be going anymore and I advice people to avoid such place whos employees speak behind loyal clients spend money every day that pays hes salary end of month Im rating this 1 star won't be making money from me anymore

Called for breakfast as in the area. We usually would use the Alderley Edge branch which is lovely so thought we would try this one expecting the same quality. Parked outside where there is an hour free street parking. Seated straight away and given menu. Had the english breakfast but menu said turkey rashers! Asked if they could do bacon on a breakfast and were told they dont do bacon only turkey rashers. Said we would try them as never had them before. Breakfast came quickly but the quality of the sausage was poor and the turkey rashers were just horrible. Smelt like smoked bacon and tasted a bit like pepperoni. Had about 6 strips of them as well! Eggs, toast and beans were good and so were the drinks. Also slightly put off by the I presume manager or owner who was on the phone eye rolling about the customers on the other end or discussing them negatively with his staff. Didnt find the service particularly friendly but was polite. Toilet was clean and modern and the cafe is nicely decorated but at almost £30 for 2 drinks, 2 breakfasts and toast I would of expected so much better. Will stick to the other branch in future.

On a wild, wet, windy day I called in here for lunch with friends. Was very impressed with the place-NO music, great food and very hardworking, friendly staff. Cannot fault the food or the service and I definitely recommend it.

Overpriced under average food. Popped in for a quick lunch and ordered a panini with mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes and the result was disappointing to say the least. Drowned in mozzarella with half a microwaved tomato and red onion (which wasn't mentioned in the menu) surrounded in a flat soggy attempt of panini bread. Expected much better!

I have known and frequented this casual eating house for many years. After the pandemic I have visited a number of times. I can only say it is much improved. The whole menu is good and service is good. I have asked for certain things and it happens! Good luck to them. I shall be going there again. They deserve to do well.

Lovely local cafe with very friendly staff offering a great selection of food and snacks. We sat outside and it's a lovely sun trap to soak up that sun! Prices are probably average but not outrageous for Hale.

Lovely place to visit, food was excellent. I thought the soft drinks were highly priced ! Also 2 youths eating at table had a friend stood close by wafting the smell of strong cannabis. , So not great

Very disappointing. Ordered BLT and a chicken panini. BLT was dry and just slapped between two slices with nothing appetising about it, no side salad garnish. The chicken Mayo was mashed chicken that looked like tuna again not appealing or particularly tasteful. Shame as we are local and like to have a Friday lunch at work but these prices and lack of quality and care when mentioned, won’t be drawing us back again, and so want to support our local shops at this difficult time.

Ridiculously expensive considering it is only currently take out food. 3 x roast beef, cheese and red onion paninis with a flat white and cup of tea £20.60.

Decent coffee is always a great starting point when you head out for breakfast. Asked for a double shot with not too much water and got just what I wanted. It’s also appreciated when a cafe offers some healthier options rather than a list of cooked breakfasts. Both Granola and yoghurt, and Porridge with banana is on the menu here. The porridge didn’t look much, but tasted good. We liked that they offered us honey to go with our breakfasts, it made all the difference. One of the things we enjoy about this cafe is being able to eat breakfast outdoors at the front; it’s a great place to watch the world go by. On this visit it was a wet day so there were no tables set up outside. We ate indoors - it didn’t feel quite as safe during COViD but they worked hard to try to keep people distanced. Hale is the one area we have been in the mornings recently where many eateries do not feel safe, and people gather with no real regard for social distancing or safety. The Village cafe is doing everything they can to keep their customers safe, making it a good option if you are looking to eat in this area.

Simple honest food. My boyfriend and I have started visiting here on a weekly basis, sometimes twice a week. There is nothing to complain about here! The food is consistently great and for a really fair price - especially for the village. Love it

Unfortunately, not the best as it was before. The prices are up by around 20%. The quality was much lower. I ordered tuna salad for £8.50, and expected to see fresh grilled tuna on the salad bed with few lemon wedges. It came as a salad with a tuna can on top with no lemon. We had another order of soup, my partner has got digestion problems since we left. Another order of egg florentine had few drop of hollandaise sauce. Hope it will come back to its old-day quality. p.s. the price rise is happening in all businesses who didn't trade during lock down.

Early breakfast, on my own but made very welcome by friendly, attentive staff. Delicious bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms and tomato. However, the two sausages were tasteless and underdone. The waiter agreed and took them off the bill. Also, great coffee is served. I recommend you visit!

Based on my quick visit to this place for a Saturday morning catch-up with an old friend, it gets a good rating. The menu is wide and varied, and my smoked salmon bagel was filling and tasty. The staff coped well with the dilemma of having two large groups all fighting for the largest bit of seating area at the front, although the result was a rather frantic and chaotic experience, and indeed one of the drawbacks of this place is that, essentially, they can only accommodate one group of more than four people, which doesn’t quite fit in with the cafe culture that prevails in this part of Cheshire.

Good food and service spoilt by a cacophonous clientele. The venue does not lend itself to so many people in a such a small environment all trying to outdo each other's volume! Especially when the TWG decide to squeeze 8 members around a corner bench designed for 4 and then hold 4 different conversations at once! I should avoid Saturday lunchtime if I was you.....

I have only ever had a drink here so can’t comment personally on the food. Service super friendly, good quality cuppa. I like it in the summer when you can sit outside which clearly you can’t do in this weather! I have seen many a tasty plate of food go by and one day I will eat here, I am usually filling in time between two appointments.

Food is always good and it's always full lunch time ,first time ever had to send milk shakes back which were for the children one 9yr and the other 12yr back and didn't want them exchanging . the banana very watery never seen milk , the chocolate drink bitter even the adults couldn't drink it ,in fact a sip of the chocolate stayed with us for a couple of hours I don't know what went wrong .but to reiterate the food has never let them down .

I love this place as the food is splendid! Freshly cooked and served by friendly staff. I had a coffee and then was tempted by the aroma of someone’s food sitting close by me so I ordered a full English breakfast. It was served promptly and was delicious! Highly recommended for the hungry traveller! On a personal note, I had suffered a slight disappointment that morning and wether my waitress sensed it by my tone or is naturally a friendly person but whatever, as she left my table, she gave me a gentle tap on my shoulder. It really made me feel so good and I remembered it all day. A nice human touch!

Was looking for a cheap coffee at 8am and didn't want to pay Costa prices. The coffee was really good and they also done a good selection of food The staff were really friendly and welcoming.

Vegetarian breakfast was very tasty.Not on par with Oxford Rd or Juniper yet but not far off.Only fault was the Mushrooms tasted of cooking fat and not Mushrooms.Loved the veggie sausages .Daughter had Full English and loved it all no complaints.Nice friendly staff .Nice vibe and bustling atmosphere on a Sunday morning.

If you're in hale and want to sit outside with your dog or inside (without pets) then this place is a great shout. The menu is good and food is fresh. Staff are super on the ball and very friendly. Good place for coffee and cake. I like their paninis, good size portions.

A recent addition to our Saturday morning routine, this superbly clean and homely diner turns out a great variety of consistently tasty foods to what appears to be an eclectic mix of customers. Service is quick and staff are an amiable bunch. Keep it going!

Started going to their cafe in Alderley Edge a few years ago ,then when they opened in Hale it was more convenient.

A great cafe, with friendly staff and lovely food. There was plenty of choice on the menu... we went for an all day breakfast and a vegetarian breakfast... both were well presented and super yummy! Good value and service too. Would recommend to those visiting the area!

My second visit was very enjoyable as I had Scrambled Eggs & Bacon with a toasted bagel which was very tasty. Coffee nice too. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly and the decor just right. All for a very reasonable cost of £9.25
