The people who work there are always so nice and helpful. Very friendly and efficient.

Been to over thirty different branches around the uk. This is our favourite although not the closest. Friendly staff and is popular all the time. Nice to go early doors when it's quieter. Had a few meetings there and WiFi has been fine. Does seem to slow when all the kids pile in at dinner time. Staff are really friendly but pots can be left a little long when they are busy but it's no big deal really

I ordered a chicken & bacon toastie and a mac & cheese for my veggie friend. Unfortunately, i received 2 chicken and bacon toasties - no mac & cheese.

Really nice coffee and snacks with friendly helpful staff but can get a bit messy with dirty cups everywhere and crumbs on the floor

Staff are friendly although upstairs was rather untidy with empty cups and trays and the WiFi connection is awful wouldn’t recommend using this Costa for any online meetings. I had to leave and find alternative arrangements for the meeting I was scheduled to attend. Rather disappointing.

Lovely manager this morning so understanding & helpful when I knocked over & spilt my coffee everywhere. Even made me a fresh one on the house, which was much appreciated on a morning that was not going well 😊

If you're going to offer a service you need to have enough trained staff. Otherwise it isn't fair on those staff and the customers

Been to better Costa venues, had to repeat order about three times and still got it wrong. Overall seating area was cleaned and tidy just seems to be memory that’s an issue

I went this afternoon. It was very quiet and plenty of staff on duty but tables outside left dirty and full of empty cups. Sat there for over 30 mins and still not cleared.

This place never disappoints in any way, I always go for my usual, variety of different toasties to croissants, muffins to cakes is optional. The quality of drinks is always of a high standard, What I love about Costa quality is that the staff prepare the drinks themselves not put the cup under the machine like other places, so therfore it gives it that different quality taste.

Not great, slower service than usual, dirty tables over packed with dirty dishes. I had to clear a table in order to use it. One of the staff serving actually 'thanked' me for doing their job ! Unbelievable

Was in urmston Costa & was seriously disappointed , they were all young & swearing to each other, also shouting at each other their private lives. Ppl go in cafes for a relaxing drink/eat & dont expect "kids" to be running a cafe....i for one will not be going again if they kids are running the cafe. Im not saying young ppl can run a cafe im saying there was zero professional behaviour 😤

The costa coffee Wigan We found it quiet nice location watching the world go by, staff very helpful food spot on, it was a very good place to visit for as we never been there before. Thank you costa coffee.

Quite possibly THE filthiest Costa I’ve ever frequented. Add to that the WiFi is flaky at best and I’m afraid they’ve quite possibly made my last coffee.

Always easy to complain when service is bad,but I feel that you should praise where praise is due. This branch of Costa is well run, and a joy to visit. All the staff I have met are friendly and professional and ot course the coffee and food (especially the toast and teacakes) are great. I have visited quite a few Costas in a 10 miles radius and this is by far the BEST. Well done, keep it up!

Staff clearly don't want to be here, seen more positivity from pre pubescent teenagers. Recommend lilys over the road.

Like this branch as you can go upstairs and overlook the rest of the shops and people watch, it's quieter up there and you feel you can relax better when your upstairs. Staff seem friendly and tell you about offers available at that time.

Friendly, efficient staff, really nice atmosphere, the limited edition kitkat hot chocolate is epic, have never had that much whipped cream on top of one before, amazing. If it's busy downstairs, check upstairs as there's plenty of seats up there, and you get a good view of the square out of the windows.

Visited today stood waiting to be served no one on counter. Lady came out said sorry was in the toilet and shouts for staff very unprofessional. Ordered hot chocolate off festive menu told no cream ! In a coffee shop. The barista machine was absolutely filthy coffee everywhere. Not the first time I’ve seen that in there. Waited over ten minutes for our drinks. customer service appalling. Will never step foot in there again. A disgrace.

Food was just warm, maybe packaging needs to be looked at.

Painfully slow this morning. Took 5 mins to make one lady’s coffee and I had to leave as mine hadn’t been started and had a train to catch. Got there in plenty of time. Barista was yawning. £2.75 I’ll never see again and now I’m always yawning as not had my coffee. Absolute faff.

Went into the store today and it will quite a lot of tables that had not been cleared and the reason is that they were short staffed just too busy to clear tables

Called in for a bubble mango frap. Been trying all summer to taste this drink. I've again not available. Staff saw me struggling on crutches but did not offer to open the door.

Always friendly and pleasant to hang out in. *********'************************************** Post covid unfortunately this Costa has drastically changed due to ongoing severe staffing issues and managerial changes. In summer 22 once at 10am tables not cleared from night before and no food out. 1 young member of staff just arrived to open up for team who didn't turn up.

The bacon bap was cold, hardly any bacon, the bap was cold and hard. The coffee was also cold. Awful food/drink. The delivery was late, hence I think the cold food/drink….

Poor service had a toasted wrap breakfast first one burnt....had another not cooked enough .Staff were not interested ......

Delivered on time however my iced coffee had spilled out into the bag and before I could eat my lunch I had to clean it up and wipe everything down. Luckily it missed my sandwich. I understand this was probably due to the driver and not the restaurant. The top half of the bap on the sausage bap was rock hard and I couldn’t get my teeth it into it so I ended up just eating the bottom half of the bap and the sausages. Overall ok lunch, filled a hope but I wouldn’t order the sausage bap again.

Service has improved, trainees doing well, more or less upto speed. That's said, the staff are very friendly.

I ordered 2 butter croissants and received two chocolate bread sticks, I also ordered a Bourbon biscuit and got a custard cream. My number is with the order why did no one ring to check if the substitutions were acceptable. They were not

I'm not a coffee fan but I took some guests here and they loved it.

Apart from the steady coffee quality the staff is amazing.

The waiting time in this place is ridiculous most of the time, we're talking over 20 minutes which isn't acceptable, the staff and the place itself are great, however the waiting time let's it down, hence only 2*.

Overhaul in staff has resulted in shockingly bad and painfully slow service, poor hygiene practices and a lack of cleaning/clearing tables. One to avoid in future!

A bit slow and not all the syrups were in stock, which was a real shame but overall it holds up against the brand.

Not what it used to be.. Wish the old staff where still working here. Was a regular customer pre covid. I understand things have changed, but it's Definatley not the same anymore.. Staff OK but need more training I think..

What you would expect from a Costa in terms of coffee and cakes (though the cinnamon brioche bun was really nice). What made it 5 star for me is the staff. All very polite and friendly, and a credit to the branch.

This store used to be pretty good, but the last 8 times my wife and I have been in over a period of 6 months in 2021 the service has been well below par. Every time we go in there is new Batista's who are so rediculusly slow and nonchalant about the large que forming ahead of their lackadaisical attitude to service. We are fairly patient people, we know you can have an off day or some technical peoblem is slowing things down, but Its every time we go. last week I had 20 minutes to kill before I needed to head for an appointment. With just 4 people in the queue It took 15 minutes to get to the point of ordering my coffee before being told they had non left. Are you kidding me?? Yea I get it, first world problems and all but seriously how are you still in business? I quite like Costa coffee, and I'll still get the occasional one, but not from Urmston. Useless.

Terribly slow service. Waited 15 minutes then gave up. During the wait, only 2 people were served. Several others gave up. I will not be back

4 people behind the till, but took 15min to prepare the drink with 1 person ahead of me. Shouting at you to keep 3 metres distance and then ask 3 times what do you want to buy, because can't hear you 3 metres away with the mask on 🤦🏻‍♂️

A very rude girl with fake red hair served me, very racist pretending not to understand my English "Flat White" with coconut milk, I have been living in the UK for a very long time and my English never gave me communication issues. She ordered me a flat white with regular milk and charged me £2.80 rather than £2.50 for take away. I didn't even bother to argue or dispute there as I think you are pretty miserable human being. The fact that I am not English doesn't make me a dumb, and I bet you won't be able to survive not even 1 week in a foreign country. Hate the Brexiters and Racists, be sure I won't come there any more and I will definitely promote your shop!:)

I had an iced coffee, staff pleasant all good

There were 4 staff members and only 1 poor staff lady making all the coffees, the other 3 were doing absolutly nothing to help make the coffees. Even when the queue was out the door not one staff member bothered to help, absolutely disgracefull! The lady making the coffee needs a well earned break!!

You have to be patient as the number of staff serving is limited by the need for social distancing.

It appears that click and collect takes priority. Went in today and after ordering and paying for my coffee waited nearly 20 mins for it to be made. I stood there waiting whilst multiple click and collect orders were being made at no point did anyone apologise for my wait. Poor service and I wont be going back

We get goo food there and good staff

Really like Costa Coffee but it just seems to take an age to prepare your drinks. I understand restrictions placed on the staff but 20 mins to get a drink is a bit much.

No idea I only drove past it but people with lots of money like it because you see them queuing up to spend 3or 4 pounds on a cup of coffee the world has gone mad
