Second visit here, 1st time eating 😋 staff very friendly, great atmosphere, beer garden lovely in the sunshine and the food was excellent hot and tasty compliments to the Chef & all staff. Definitely will be back 👍

Great local pub with good food. I regularly meet my family here for a catch up. Its lovely outside in the summer and you can often watch a game of bowls whilst having a nice drink.

A thoroughly enjoyable Sunday roast. Generous amount of meat and selection of well cooked vegetables. Sticky toffee pudding possibly the nicest I have ever had The service was excellent with friendly cheery waitresses. Really recommend the Quarry Bank, will definitely be visiting again.

It is always comfortably busy in here; enough to give it a good atmosphere but not too much so there isn't a seat. The service is always with a smile and the food is always lovely. No complaints and we keep returning!

Vegetarian option very poor sadly

Went to see a band. Great that some pubs are still willing to have live music and there was a really friendly and lively atmosphere. Lovely looking welcoming pub with a couple of decent cask ales. Did order a mild but was told that they hadn't served it for ages so pointless having an illuminated pump clip. The food menu looked good so will probably have a meal as well next time.

Delicious food, in a local pub my locally native Father-In-Law had never been in in his numerous years. Although it was a Thursday lunchtime, they were quite busy which had a little impact on the service as the restaurant area was pretty full and there were plenty of drinkers in the bar area. I can recommend the black pudding and bacon stack, and the draught Guinness was absolutely spot on.

9 of us friends went for christmas get together. Fantastic price for a 3 course meal from off the christmas menu. Food was served hot by lovely friendly staff. The pub restaurant was full which speaks for itself. Will definately be eating there again.

4 generations of family have been entertained here over decades mostly when it had a brilliant vault! full of characters and part of Timperley history! Called in Christmas first time in over a decade! good atmosphere! Now I like to swear but to much loud swearing whilst older people in the pub! No respect ! Also dogs! Blind people's dogs no problem, but dogs up on the seats! I wouldn't eat anywhere that has dogs on seats near eating area! Maybe in a vault but not anywhere on premises these days for me! Scratching and licking their bits ! Na give that a miss!

The best pub in Timperley. I'm a regular drinker and pub hopper. Out of all the pubs in Timperley. I'd have to say this is the best of the bunch.

I was really surprised with the food - for a ‘pub’ the food was actually very good. I would have given this a 5 however, we sat in the bar after our dinner and there was a lot of swearing to my shock when we saw who was swearing it was a member of staff (I wouldn’t have downgraded the pub if it was cliental as they can’t control that much) the lady in question had jet black hair and glasses on her head - most customers don’t want to listen to anybody swearing and being potty mouthed (it’s even worse when it is a staff member). I hope on my next visit I can upgrade my rating to a 5 as the food was actually lovely and great value.

I recently visited the Quarry Bank in Timperley, Altrincham, and I must say, the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. The bar staff were not only friendly but also attentive, making the overall experience enjoyable. The lager they serve is of excellent quality, and I found myself looking forward to returning for another visit. A great spot for those seeking a laid-back pub with top-notch service and great beer. However, I have been here 3 times for food, each time The food has been slightly undercooked, hard chips etc..I did the British thing and just ate them and went off to moan on the internet... It's normally a Good pub

Your pub should be absolutely ashamed of yourself tonight u have discriminated my boyfriend for having a speech impediment because he stammered when he ordered a beer u presumed he was drunk !! U have now asked him and his work colleagues to leave !! Well more fool u as they would have spent a fortune !! Disgraceful

Myself and 8 friends went for our Xmas do here , we all had something off the Xmas Fayre meal, every course was lovely large portions, would recommend 100%

Proper cosy local, dog friendly, always busy

Great quality food with very attentive, warm staff. Ate from the the normal menu which was delicious, and great value for money, but saw a near by table with the Christmas menu, so we are coming back to try it! Atmosphere was very welcoming.

My Beef Casserole was extremely salty I asked two of my friends to taste the gravy, and they both agreed with me. I asked if I could have an alternative meal as the casserole was uneatable, but the reply was yes, as long as you paid for another meal! I asked to speak with the chef, but he refused my request by saying he was too busy!

Veggie Xmas meal was very nice. The service was great. There were 14 of us & the food came out for us together & hot. Far better than a few restaurants I have been to. Would highly recommend.

a nice ralaxed atmosphere, for a afternoon meal, the pub was fairly busy which is good to see, 2 meals for under £20 good value, i add chicken tikka masala curry, my mate add gammon egg & chips it went down well, and the hydes bitter was on form , the bar staff at the quarry bank inn made you feel welcome and were helpful, a nice family pub,

Last visited about 10 years ago but used to come here back in 1974/75 when I lived locally. Flic on his first visit. Lovely Hydes pub with bowling green to rear and thus lots of outdoor seating. Good pint of Hopster, one of up to five Hydes real ales. Large open pub spread around the central bar. Flic likes this pub.

Lovely first lunch at Quarry Bank. Gorgeous food, would highly recommend Lamb and Mint Burger and EVERYTHING that went with it. So different. Lovely staff and great company . We'll be back xxx

We are regular customers of the Quarry Bank pub. An excellent local pub and often very busy. Generally the food has been good value and tasty pub food. With the introduction of a new menu we were very dissapointed. The portions are small, the quality was poor and the price has gone up. It’s as if the the new menu was made by Accountants. The reason I kept a 4 star review is that it has great staff and atmosphere and an all round great pub.

Food and service great. We were a party of 14 adults and kids. All well looked after. Thanks.

I arrived with my partner this afternoon looking to have a drink and book a family dinner for Sunday with one possible small dog. I was asking a bar lady questions who answered very sternly. ‘ no dogs in the restaurant!’ then I asked if an area on the bar area could be used - her answer was ‘first come first served’ ‘ok’ . The attitude was extremely abrupt so to be honest I won’t be coming back! Not sure of the bar ladies name but she had blonde hair and was extremely rude. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but to be made to feel so un welcome I thought best to warn others. I won’t be returning. I think that particular staff member needs some customer service training.

Multiple TV screens showing sport and a great atmosphere The restaurant area, is quieter for dining, with table service and the food is delicious. The beer is Hydes and a great variety too of choice cask ales, which are all kept excellently, along with a good selection of other drinks. Nice comfortable outside drinking area overlooking a well kept bowling green. Staff professional and friendly. Look out for special events and offers on their website. A great pub all round. Well worth a visit. 👍

Back again three months on. Same excellent value honest pub grub. Small fish and chips perfect for my 89 year old father in law, fish generally excellent and the inclusion of the curry sauce option is inspirational. Service was friendly and efficient without being intrusive.

I love coming to this pub. Usually come after our Ukulele class to chat and relax.

Went here to see the band Cover - up. It was very busy but great atmosphere. Band were brilliant as usual. Didn't eat here so can't comment sorry!.

This used to be fabulous value and quality and was our go to place for a great meal of excellent quality and the best value around. They've recently hiked up all their prices, in some cases exorbitantly. The rump steak was our favourite, fabulous deal and quality £9.95 including steak sauce of your choice, a breath of fresh air compared to all other establishments ripping customers off with their £1.99 mini sauce boats! Sadly The QB has followed in their footsteps and the once amazing rump steak is now £12.95 plus £1.95 for a mini boat of steak sauce - thus our favourite rump steak meal is now 50% more expensive and is no longer a good deal for us. Two recent visits have also proved the quality of food has reduced signifcicantly. Grilled chicken like shoe leather, rock hard breaded mushrooms, sliced apples with pips (just core your apples) and anaemic toast served. without butter to name but a few of the problems we've experienced recently. I'm afraid the QB has now lost its way and followed that disastrous path of so many rip off, poor quality establishments! Rest in peace The QB; we must now move on. It was good while it lasted.

Sunday lunch...Fabulous food and value. The pub is very well appointed and the service was excellent. Loud shout out for Siobhan who looked after us...efficient..affable...a great ambassador for the place

Buy your drinks before 19:00 and save money

It was a nice day, we sat outside on a table furthest away from the others. The food was nice enough and we enjoyed a lovely couple hours with the pleasant bowling green view. What I didn't like was... the table was really mucky,but we just cleaned it ourselves. Moreover, I hate all the smokers with their smoke wafting everywhere. I really wish pubs and eateries would do more to tackle this. Non smokers like the opportunity to sit outside too. I really don't agree with smoking being allowed in ANY eating/drinking areas unless it's clearly segregated with no cross over, to give people the choice. I'd only just come out of hospital too, so the smoke was really irritating me after a general anaesthetic. But my friend wanted to sit outside as she'd been cooped up at work for a long shift, so I went along with it, but I knew smoke would annoy us. So, if you don't mind breathing in others' smoke, are a smoker yourself, or lucky enough to sit outside when nobody is smoking, I'd recommend this pub. I did not go inside other than to use the toilet and even then had to go past a chain smoker who stood not far from the entrance. The sooner smoking is banned on public premises, the better.

This was my first visit to the QB Inn, I went to watch my brother in law in a bowling match (he won!). It's such a lovely pub, great outside area and lovely inside too. I hadn't realised before I bought it, but they had an amazing offer on the wine - what a bonus! Great pub - great service. My sister and I had a wonderful evening.

Birthday meal for father in law. There was 9 of us and the food was lovely , the food varied for each person between, steaks, speciality burgers, sunday roast, gammon and steak n ale pie. Each one of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and the drinks that were being served. The service was fab and the whole atmosphere was very pleasant. This is our local pub also and even then all the bar staff are very cheerful, talkative and very pleasant. Price of the food was excellent value and some of us went on to have a sweet which was also lovely. Recommend this pub for all round satisfaction and weekend entertainment

7 of us not one happy. 4 pieces of squid very small size on one order 5 on the other. Not worth the money. The chicken wrap had coho chicken nuggets inside not strips or real chicken…. Small and tasteless portions from the week menu.

Just been for first time in ages four of us had the Sunday dinner duo with extra Yorkshire and extra pigs in blankets. Decided to have our group's lunch from the seasonal menu. We booked in October. The table was reserved, and set very nicely before we arrived, an unexpected bottle of prosecco was delivered to the table, with drinks ordered in a timely manner. Our waitress was sooo nice. Our pre-ordered food was brought out hot and delicious. We were not rushed at all, and our uncertainty about pre-ordered desserts was cleared up with ease. We all agreed the price was 'right' and that we would put Quarry Bank on our 'go to' list.

The place was lovely, wish I had visited it in the summer. Staff were very friendly and professional. Food was delicious and it was a great atmosphere to have lunch. Prices very reasonable.
