Really disappointing this pub used to thriving and always full to the brim on a Sunday, not now and it’s not difficult to see why. After often visiting years ago and feeling this with the best carvery in the area we decided to give it a go with the new ownership. Firstly it is not easy to book multiple phone numbers scattered across the internet. But luckily/unlucikly it’s that empty that it’s not necessary to book in here anymore. The carvery is very basic, potato’s burnt to a crisp and tastes cheap to overall. The worst part of the experience was when the woman wondering in and out of the kitchen in dirty clothes, with dirty fingernails went on the customer side of the carvery and proceeded to pick at the meat with her hands and eat it in front of us. Don’t bother to complain as the staff take no responsibility, make excuses for the meat picking and practically accuse you of lying. Surely none of this would wash with a good hygiene inspection? I expect this pub will soon be closed again.

Today should of been our wedding day...instead we are having afternoon tea a surprise from son. Thank you for delivering this wonderful surprise of section of sandwiches and cakes. We will visit the shop once this lockdown is over.

Had Sunday lunch a week ago with friends lovely food and service. Went back a week later expecting the same but was disappointed. The service was lacking although the food was excellent. Our grandson will only eat certain foods even though I asked for a plain coke it came with ice and lemon, he was looking forward to a chocolate brownie, I again asked for a plain chocolate brownie but it unfortunately came with chocolate sauce on so couldn’t be eaten. A shame as our first visit was very good, but it seems if you ask for anything specific can’t be done.

This Sunday lunch used to be fantastic, sadly it is not now. Visited yesterday and was disappointed. Small oblong plate which consisted of 3 slices of carrot, 2 sprouts, one very small roastie, half a roast parsnip, a little mashed potato and some bland cabbage along with 2 small slices of roast beef. We did,nt realise it was buy one get one free so maybe this was a reduced portion, but we would rather have paid the £12 each and had a full Sunday lunch. We used to visit regularly for Sunday lunch which then came as a lunch with either a starter or pudding and it was really nice and substantial and that was also bogor back in the day, times and places change and not always for the better.

Ordered a takeaway through JustEat, who conveniently won't let me leave a review. Food was stone cold, ordered chicken with 2 carbonaras, neither had any, and one even lacked the bacon! Complete lack of care when contacting the restaurant, pretty much told it wasn't their problem. Do NOT waste your money

The worst pancake stack I have ever had! Dry pancakes, hardly any yoghurt with only 6 small pieces of fruit! Not very often I leave anything but I did this time! Today I am back in Weymouth and will go to the lookout for a pancake stack, superb, overflowing with yoghurt and fruit and cheaper! Manager of restaurant you need to do a taste test as it’s awful
