Loved this place and it's a shame we are going to lose it. Shame shame shame

Bought a take out chicken dansak absolutly discusting went straight in the bin , chicken was pink inside not cooked . Curry was full of hard chick peas it was all slopy it was a disgrace.I would never go back. People be carefull...thanks for your reply. Yes it was the right one as it had the pineapple in it and the chicken was pink in the middle. Full of chick pease. Late reveiw because i had to go out the curry was for my wife

Fantastic service and amazing India cuisine

food was yummeh but when me and my girlfriend got home i couldn’t stop farting my bludclart self and some were so smelly my girlfriend has now left me 😔

Lovely well decorated restaurant in a good location juat 2 mins walk from the tram stop. Excellent food at a competitive price, & super friendly staff. The aloo & chana puri starter is something that sounds so simple but is so incredibly tasty! Give it a try!

Went to try the buffet. Food was OK but I wish someone would of told us that you couldnt help yourself to rice and nan bread. Had to order this separately and wait. Chicken a bit hard. Not much selection to choose from and had to ask/wait for some dishes to be refilled. I think people would benefit from the dishes being labelled so people knew what they were having.

Ordered some food from zing & zest for delivery, usual onion bhajis, poppadoms, etc which were ok but when it came to the main dish including chips thats where it all went a bit wrong, opened the carton of chips & it looked like they had been sat for some time & had remnants of someone else's curry on them, this immediately put me off , called the restaurant to complain & they were rude & dismissive, the main course is still sat here unopened waiting for them to collect & refund , sorry zing & zest you've not done good for us this time or done yourself any favours .

This is the 1st time we tried this and we had a takeaway for delivery on fathers day and we were expecting a bit of a wait, almost 3 hours later we called up and they told us it was out for delivery with just eat. Eventually it arrived luke warm and not impressed, we tried this instead of our usual purple olive but we will not be ordering again.

Boom what a curry and good service

Very nice! My only issue was that the bones in the lamb chops were shattered - so I got sharp bits! Otherwise service, flavour, portions, ambience were all excellent! Inside is smart, clean and modern - well worth a visit (price was reasonable too!)

Sorry guys only 8 dishes most of them cold and empty no salad the only good thing is the rice and nann bread u had to order to cook . Not worth a fiver never mind £14 .

Good little restaurant, food was good and good portions. Service was good, staff were friendly. I only took a star off because it was pretty cold, we’d got in early (about 7) on an icy December day so probably hadn't had chance to warm up. Would recommend and will go back.

Tonight was the first night of ordering from zing and zest, and it was spot on! The food was quality. Can not believe we haven't tried this out already! You have just gained another customer. Thank you 😊

We went for the buffet at £14.95 per person. The choice is very limited (4 starters, 4 mains and a pasta dish) and there were no popadoms (which was really odd and a little disappointing) and only 2 chutneys (mint yoghurt and chilli sauce) but while the choice was limited, the standard was brilliant. The food is super tasty and beautifully cooked. Sides are brought out fresh and they are gorgeous, chips, naan and garlic naan were spot on and not burnt which was great to see since most places I've been to lately, the naan bread is burnt to a crisp but happily not at zing and zest! We will most likely go back but would love to see popadoms added to the buffet.

We have been dining at zing & zest for the past 7 years and can honestly say we enjoy it every time we go. The staff & manager are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their dishes. They will tweak a dish if possible or advise on which you'd enjoy based on your spice tolerance. We've probably tried most of the menu but here are some of our favourites dishes are, Starters - Lamb namkeen boti, chicken chaat puri & spicy hot rods. Mains - Lamb saagwala, Shashlik exotic karahi and Murgh Akbai. We also enjoy the Sunday buffet, which is a bargain! There's a choice of 4 different Starters and 4 different curries (1 is usually tikka masala for the kids) in the hot plates, then you order fresh rice and breads with the waiter when your ready for your main and he'll bring it over. Gives you chance to try dishes you've never had before, we love it. We have introduced many people to zing & zest over the years who have also fell in love with it. It's always our go to place to take friends & family to dine out, as we know we'll be looked after and well fed. Our kids also love it here, it's our daughter 1st choice everytime. We love supporting our local Indian. As our daughter says "Zing & Zest, is the Best!"

Excellent customer service, the food is fantastic, especially the chicken tikka chana massala. Restaurant service is first rate and the delivery is second to none. I've eaten curries of all kinds in many different parts of the world and I have to say that Zing and Zest are one of the best. Keep it up guys.

Meal at Zing and Zest this evening for boys 18th, can honestly say best food I've had in a while, really fresh, plenty and very tasty. Staff here are so attentive and really look after you, will definitely return.

Pre order meal for 7.30 was delivered late at 8.20, 1 lot of chips cold 1 lot hot but barely cooked both currys tastless unless you enjoy rogan josh that tastes like sweet tomatoes. Won't be ordering from here again.

Quite simply the best curry house experience I've had since lockdown. Service, food and prices all excellent. Highly recommended.

Ordered food from zing & zest and it was a experience. Really disappointing, Spicy lamb chops only flavoured with crushed chillis and turmeric, Lamb naga hasn’t got any naga taste, Biryani full of greasy, Wasted my money

Excellent food and competitive prices. We arrived early and all was fresh and really tasty. Got busy at 8pm and needed to move from our table (after 2hours so no complaints). Would recommend. Nice place and good staff

This has to be the worst takeaway I've had this year. The chips were cold, the curry sauce was far too spicy, the meat was fatty and tasteless (like it had just been boiled without seasoning) I can cook way better food myself, for a fraction of the price. Steer clear.

Poor quality food and service. Avoid

The service was excellent we got our starter and mains very quick. The service was very good and they made sure we enjoyed our food and the prices were very cheap much better prices for portion size then the larger fast food chains.

I didn't get what I ordered, I did tell them but the guy seemed to be confused, and didn't seem to get what I was saying, he just smiled, I just eat it, it was fine, i just felt disappointed that I didn't get what I wanted and ordered and we ended up with an extra sauce we didn't eat but was charged for it ??🙄

We ordered a large takeaway for our family to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was fresh and delicious and the whole order was perfect. The staff were helpful and accommodating and even sent us a bottle of wine with our order to help us to celebrate. This is one of the most authentic Indian restaurants we have ever eaten at, as we always go to Rusholme, but thought we would try nearer to home and we are so glad we did. Highly recommended.

I have had food from Zing and Zest a few times and it has always been delicious. When we have eaten in, the service is great and when we had had a takeaway the order is always fresh and ready on time. Would definitely recommend!

Wouldn't even give them 1 star only because you can't give zero rude staff.. tried to tell us we was under ordering to make us order more when we couldn't manage it eat it all asked them to it in takeaway trays so we could take it home only to get a dirty look and a few brown paper bag put on the table and told to do ourselves despite the fact we was the only people in the restaurant and after paying a £95 bill for 2 adults and 3 children very disappointed will not be returning

Zing and zest is a great place to eat a meal. Good prompt friendly service,good quality food ,a great room temperature to eat at (not too hot) and a good atmosphere. There is also a lot of parking space. One of the things that stood out for me is the friendliness and good nature of the waiters who despite having to communicate through masks still kept it together and all was well. I would eat there again.

The food was not very nice and the service was absolutely disgusting! Rude waiters! There was a vile smell in the ladies toilet like a drainage or stagnant water smell made me sick straight after food. Slow service is an understatement. The waiter knocked over a glass and smashed it all over my daughters high chair no apologies made out it was our fault. I wouldn’t recommend going and certainly won’t be going again myself!

A pleasurable experience with attentive staff. Food was lovely, you could actually taste the variety of ingredients within any given dish. A little more expensive than most Indian Restaurants but worth it.

Food is outstanding, delivery service is fast and accurate, ingredients are true to what they should be with no cheap substitutes. Really tasty and authentic plus nice people. Can be busy for delivery on a weekend so order in good time.

Perfect food, perfect staff and an amazing place for a date night meal. Looks like it's weird in the outside but couldn't be anymore welcoming on the inside.

First time going, decided to go on Sunday to try the buffet, which was lovely, good quality food, soft tender meats, like some reviews say not much available, but what was available was top quality, recommend and definitely will be going back, nice friendly staff.

We came n had the buffet, not a great deal of choice 5 starters n 4 currys. The staff are really good but it gets boring when 4 different waiters ask toy if you want another drink. Plus points is that the rice,chips and Naan are cooked to order.

Had Sunday , was ok but I like a hot curry and none were very tasty. Their vindaloo is excellent so will order that next time.

Went for the first time today for the Sunday buffet. The food wasn't quite ready when we got there just after 3, but were offered drinks and poppadoms. The food was delicious. Not as much choice as other Indian buffets I've been to, but far fresher and tastier. Will definitely be going back

Great Food My Daughter Wanted to Celebrate Her 8th Birthday here we had a great time

Ate here last night and had a fantastic meal! Staff were excellent, great menu and very good value for money. I have always thought that Amaani on Lee's rd was the best Indian in Ashton but Zing and Zest now surpasses it. Highly recommended.

waiters were very rude not friendly, plus just presumed that our £6 change was a tip without asking never brought change to the table, food was ok

The welcome staff was rude when I went with my family, the moment we walked in we were told to make sure we keep the noise down even though we were not making any noise. We stayed because we were hungry but they made the whole experience so uncomfortable that all the way through we were having to whisper because we did not want to cause a scene in front of the kids. There was a couple sat in the restaurant and they were very loud but no one said anything to them. So if you have any kids with you, ignore this place at all costs as they want people especially black people to seat in total silence. The food was nice but the manager who was at the door was rude.
