Just had a brilliant meal at the Forester. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the service was second to none. Great atmosphere excellent menu and the wine wasn’t bad either.

Pet friendly, lovely big airy pub and super enclosed garden area for when the decent weather is with us! And the food is really good - loved the veggie burger, absolutely deeelish! And the staff are lovely, chatty and friendly.

Food was good and service was quick, nice pub grub and friendly atmosphere.

What a lovely place to have a drink. We was in christmas day and there were people having chistmas lunch, it looked beautiful. The staff made us all very welcome. Would recommend the Foresters pub & kitchen.

Unfortunately, we booked in advance and when we arrived was told they couldn't take our order for at least half an hour as they were too busy. No point in booking a table, we left and ate elsewhere.

One of the best pubs in Stalybridge, being at the top of a hill works great as most of the smack heads in Stalybridge simply can't be ar5ed to walk up to it! Bar staff are peng ting!

When here for lunch today with my friend and her son jayden staff behind bar are all very welcoming and friendly. The pub is lovely and clean and nice out side area to sit if you choose.i had the vegan option plant based burger it was served lovely and hot and again lovely staff.my friend had the chicken platter or sharer I think it was. Again all served nice and hot and presented well.jayden wasn't that hungry today so he chose garlic bread and chips he enjoyed his too all reasonable priced and they do have offers on too during the week.thank you too lovely staff ohh and their lovely dog

Me and my sister in law took our 84 years old mother for lunch today. Lovely kind,caring staff, we're very helpful. Mum enjoyed her scampi and chips as we did our mac and cheese. Very clean and nice garden area to enjoy. Thank you.

Nice pub we were going to have a meal in there after the football but they stopped serving food at 6pm no signs up too many children running through and about the pub the kids should be outside not in the pub I won't be coming back can't be doing with kids in pubs

Very welcoming pub, lovely food, very friendly staff. Visited on several occasions never been disappointed and the great bonus is its dog friendly so great for us to visit with our Dog Charlie. Definitely worth a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Visited twice this week Monday and today Friday very friendly staff and a lovely doggy called Alfiethat I met while I was there, both my friend and I really enjoyed the food we had both days I will be visiting again I hope very soon great place to visit thanks Marjorie

Nice food clean pub and friendly staff

Booked a table for 8 for Sunday lunch, it was quiet when we arrived at 14:30, got a really warm welcome and seated at our reserved table. Sunday lunch wasn't listed on the menu so asked and was told they did roast beef sunday, prepared from scratch by their new chef and was recommended. 5 of us had Sunday lunch, one scampi, buttermilk chicken burger and kids chicken nuggets. Food was served quickly and was really good. Sunday dinner included Yorkshire pudding, roasties, mash, 3 veg and gravy, all homemade no shop bought frozen Yorkshire puddings here. Chicken burger was huge and looked amazing, good sized portion of scampi and kids meal was great and included an oreo ice cream sandwich for after. Not a huge choice of desserts but cider apple crumble was excellent and the massive ice cream sundae sharer served 3. Staff were excellent, service was fast and friendly and compliments to the new chef, you did awesome. Looking forward to going again. Thank you

DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE ordered a chicken platter and the chicken wings were still raw and bloody!! When a staff member was notified to this a tall South African man came over and started an argument claiming this is the was chicken wings should look!!

Really enjoyed Sunday Lunch at the Forresters pub. Nothing was too much trouble, the food presentation and service was excellent & it tasted like freshly cooked homemade food. The staff added a bit of fun to the service. Will definitely be going back. Well done!

Under new management. One of the best pub/restaurants in manchester. Sports bar, beer garden, outdoor front and rear seating, mini theme park for the kids at rear, family friendly place. Definitely recommend for all occasions whether it's a family meal, football night or just a good old knees up. Clean tidy place. Was in thier again last night and the main man Calvin was in a good mood like usual giving out crisps, peanuts and drinks on the house to his regulars. Definitely worth a visit the new management team have really turned the place around it's very luxurious

Pub is beautiful as for the chicken, it was very dry and over cooked. All the other food was ok. Nothing to rave about.

Good food, chilled atmosphere and great service...

The food was cheaper but food I had wasn't very nice and I didn't finish it. It was a shame as it sounded and looked great but the taste didn't match the presentation. The best thing was the Schweppes blackcurrant cordial.

Throughly recommend this place. All of our food was delicious and service was top notch. My extremely fussy husband actually said he ate the best fish and chips that he's ever had there !

Food was very disappointing, Food tasted microwaved and not fresh. ordered a simple salad was not fresh and served without dressing chicken was freezing cold, steak wasn't cooked to order came well done and was ordered medium which was specified twice as wasn't asked when taking the order, overpriced for the quality and food felt rushed to get out as I had only just sat down from taking my order and it arrives at the table I'd rather wait for good food than have sub standard food with quick service. Waiter was very pleasant and staff were friendly but wouldn't recommend anyone to eat there unless improved quality.

Came on Sunday with my boyfriend for the first time and what a great pub it is ,2 young lads behind the bar were lovely then another young lad came on later on and he was just as nice, outside seating area is lovely and food was lovely ,wish I would of found this little gem sooner, defo be back soon 😁

Some of these reviews are so far removed from reality its unreal. Staff couldn't be any more polite, food was lovely for the price and the atmosphere is great. 1st visit, will be coming back for sure. Careful what you write in here some folk just dont deserve it at all

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Landlady thinks she is some sort of gangster, she will say she is going to “knock you out” with a drop of a hat. I mean if you don’t mind being surrounded by rif raf then this is the place to be!
