Wife's curry was merely lukewarm and I ordered lamb and received chicken. Won't order from here again.

Really disappointed. The chicken tasted awful, an eggy taste, which is a red flag for gone off chicken! We've used zing and Zest so many times and never have a problem. Now we have a problem, Just Eat don't want to know and I can't contact the restaurant. Food in the bin and we've wasted £20. Gutted.

Poppadoms burnt and broken. Rang up and their attitude to us pointing out we spend up to 50 quid per week on food they were just like yeah poppadoms break. That was not the point. Chips were poor. Lemma naan burnt on the edges. Turns out we will go somewhere else next time

This is a fantastic place to order deliveries from. Food as good as if you sat in their restaurant. This was a little late in arriving but they did message me to keep me updated, so no problem. Chicken Tikka Chat starter is delicious, and their lamb Karahi is the best we have ever had.

The lamb was so tough and gristly that i'm actually glad there wasn't much of it and too much onion in the sauce to bulk it out - such poor quality for the price. Delivered on time but driver rang the bell and dumped it on the ground so by the time we answered the door, he was in his car ready for off. Not great

Sorry but so disappointed with this. The quality of the chicken was poor. Chicken dishes same sauce and same taste. The chicken tikka was not fresh and you can tell with the cut and when gets cold how it forms. Wont recommend this place and it really needs help. May look nice but the food is poor

Went for Sunday buffet it’s pretty good for the price £14.95, everything is fresh and topped up pretty quickly. Nice decor but slightly cold in there. I would definitely go again.

Iv never left a review, good or bad but this was terrible. Peshwari was black… burnt. If I could leave photos I would. Tikka masala seemed watered down it was so liquidy. Tasted decent but had to drain half down the sink to reach a normal consistency. They threw in 2 ‘alcohol free’ beers which noones gonna drink so I guess that’s a bonus?? Decided to order here to see if the restaurant was worth booking in at :| that’s a hard pass

First time customers here. Pros: The mixed starter, keema nan, onion bhaji, chicken pakora, lamb balti, chicken tikka masala and chips were all absolutely beautiful. We also were given a free WKD and 10% off (which is why we ordered to begin with) Cons: Unfortunately our popadoms were missing which was disappointing. The salad leaked a large amount of liquid into the paper bag and the plain nan was very much burnt. We would order again as it was tasty and arrived quickly plus the offers are good.

The food was nice but wasn’t happy paying £5 for a mixed tikka starter only getting one of each 4 items, that was ridiculous. I’d advise anyone not to order that, was quite disappointing as they make it sound good on the menu.

Just ripped me off for my money wanted food to be delivered and they wouldn't because I was just out of the delivery zone. They still took my money and said I collected the food.

First time trying and was quality food... well fresh and quality would recommend trying to anyone polite and friendly 5* all round chips could of done with a little less cooking time but still nice and crispy well done guys

The service was virtually none existent. We had to go to the bar to order drinks and complain about the food, nobody once asked how things were. Chicken tikka was stone cold (was swapped for a new hot portion - after we had to take it up to the bar), rice was only luke warm and the lamb pieces in the karahi were bland and quite firm. Couple of the dishes were hot and Bhalti exotica was good in taste, so that was a positive - we just ended up sharing that! Last time we came it was hit and miss (after previous very enjoyable visit) - but this time it was more miss and very disappointing. As per a couple of other reviews, the young lady does seem to try very hard….

The food was disgusting. Ordered £24 worth off food which wasn’t worth it. Food was bland and greasy. Wouldn’t order from there anymore.

Food was not great! The special Kebab was NOT special at all compared to other special kebabs from other places, the chips were soggy and rotten, the naan bread was burnt and dry and the chicken in our curry was hard! Inedible! Not very impressed at all.

Well that was beautiful never ordered from there before but finished work at 10 and wanted a beer with my food with my delivery and this was the place I ordered from I tell you what I will be taking my wife there to dine in loved it thanks you for a nice tea after work 😀

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The waiter was attentive, food flavoursome and a few dishes I hadn’t seen before. From the moment we walked in till the moment we left nothing was too much trouble, from recommending dishes to suggesting a break between courses. If you are within 15 miles of this place do your tastebuds a favour and make the journey here.

We ordered a large takeaway to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was fresh and delicious and everything was perfect with our order. The restaurant staff were very attentive and even gave us a free bottle of wine with our order. We have since had another takeaway on Saturday 2nd October to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was just as good. We normally travel to Rusholme so it is brilliant that we have found this restaurant on our doorstep. I would recommend Zing and Zest without hesitation.

food was good, arrive really early

It is a real shame because usually the food is great which is why I have returned many times. However, this time the lamb in my lamb dish was extremely fatty, impossible to chew and was generally unpleasant to eat. As an aside, I ordered drinks that were missed from my delivery. As I say, I’m generally happy with the food here so hoping this was just a bad day!

1st takeaway from here and probably last. The man on bar was not friendly not sure if he was manage. Food ordered for 7.10 glad I arrived at 7 as was no bar waiting for pick up. Food very average will stick to my usual place in future. Food only warm.

Just had our 1st meal from Zing and Zest. (Takeaway). The meat in everything we had was nice and juicy. 😀 More meat than veg in the Samosa 😀 Onion bhaji not dripping in grease 😀 Everything was perfect 😀😀😀 We will be back. 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

Don't normally do reviews unless they are worth it but my order tonight was bang on !!!!! The delivery driver was super nice n full of joy !!!! Very well presented just of his character!!!! - got a little extra box of processco spirits with liquor- which was a nice touch to be fair - but yeah food bang on - service bang on - delivery time bang on - extra touches bang on !!!! - keep up the good work guys and happy easter 2021 !!!! - brilliant !!!!

We have recently tried zing & zest for a takeaway during Covid. Really good portions & very tasty food. We spent over £25 and got a free cocktail gift set in a lovely box which was a great surprise. The delivery staff followed covid guidance & left the delivery on the doorstep & walked away. Very good meal & service. We look forward to visiting the restaurant when it re opens. If its anything like the takeaway food it will be lovely.

I have only ordered 3 times from here so far as our usual curry place has shut down :( We tried just about every curry take out on just eat to find our new haunt and none fit the bill :) However, we tried Zing & Zest as we drive past almost everyday and i must say the food is lovely and the closest to our old haunts flavours to date. But what especially has stood out to me so far is their customer service..very friendly and accommodating to your requests. Well done Zing & Zest keep it up!

Food was great as always, slightly delayed but we knew it might be busy so it wasn’t too bad! Forgot the bottle of coke but when I called the restaurant they were very apologetic and had it sent back out within 5/10 minutes. Delivery driver was really friendly and apologetic as well. Can’t recommend this place enough, they’re always really fast with deliveries so we know they must have been a bit slammed tonight!
