Barakat Balti in Tameside

We come here for the set curry meal and enjoy the food, great value set menu with starters and two main courses with rice and nan. The customer service is excellent and any requests are always dealt with in a polite manner. This is the only Indian takeaway we like, and I can cook Indian food but on occasions like to save time! Always enjoy when ordered. Thank you

3 weeks in a row now the chicken in madras curry is tough ! Which is a shame as it taste lovely

Avoid!!!!! Not like they used to be. I Wanted a kebab after a late finish at work, got home round the corner in the dank bank(same area) to some rubber called doner meat apparently. Without any problems called back up to say I was bringing it back because I can't eat it, he wouldn't even make me a fresh one after seeing what he's tried to sell me. The owner tried to tell me it was over a hour ago, (37minutes had past since I'd ordered waited 10/15 minutes to make it and go home and opened it and brought it back) and that I've put it in the microwave. Wrapped up in tinfoil still and not even owning a microwave I couldn't believe what he was telling me. Gets angry when I said why is that what you've done to the meat. The thing was still hot. I used to always recommend this place to friends and family for nice food, this is the second time now it's been a bad experience and food, I recommend don't waste your money.

Terrible service. Used it on many occasions but ordered food on Saturday evening. It was late & cold. When my wife rang to tell them they put the phone down on her. Terrible customer service. Never spend there again.

The only best indian takeaway period. Good value for money, best portion, best taste, best selections, best service. I don’t know why they’re no longer in Just Eat app though but that doesn’t stop me coming back again and again.

The best Indian takeaway I have tried! I live in north manchester and drive 11 miles to order from here! Food is always prepared on time, always freshly made, tasty, good prices and friendly service! Great veggie options and good old fashioned traditional food! Highly recommend!

Ordered from here for the first time and i was amazed, this is the type of indian takeaway i’ve missed ! highly recommend the madras and chicken jalfrizi, the garlic naan was good too, this is definitely my to go place now for an indian

Our first order from here, Unfortunately the Pathia curry was very disappointing, It's supposed to be Sweet and sour but couldn't taste either, we have had it from lots of other places which were nothing like this. Delivery was over an hour when the email said 40 mins. The rice, Chips and poppadom's were ok though. Probably wont order from here again.

I don’t usually review unless something is really good, or really bad. The food ordered from here tonight was excellent. Absolutely beautiful. There’s normally leftovers but it’s all gone tonight. Best in the area by far.

Just had barakat balti tonight first time had a balti chicken madras one of the best curry's we have had nothing negative to say chicken was the best I've ever had in a curry will be coming here from now on fairly priced aswell and delivery was quick.

My go to Inidian. Food is fantastic and the wait is never to long. Always follow instructions, especially as I ask for no peanuts in my masala. If you're looking for an Indian takeaway that won't let you down, this is your place

We've lived in Dane Bank for over 12 year and never used this take-way before. We sat on the sofa and Googled best Take-way in Denton, Barakat Balti popped up. Absolutely brilliant!! I'm not a curry person, so it's the standard Korma for me, absolutely beautiful! Family of 4, lots of different dishes, £29 perfect! We spend more at Sainsbury's when we go and grab the take-way bags. Fantastic place, thank you.

Been going 10 years last couple of weeks not so good food not cooked the way you ask they get the order wrong they blame you nann bread soggy if you phone to query your order told don’t come again that’s after 10 years of being a customer no I would not recommend

Won't order from this takeaway again I absolutely hate when you pay full price £10 for a king prawn curry and it arrives chopped up and dry, why can't they give you what you pay for juicy prawns left whole, a lot of Indian restaurants do this it makes my blood boil I just want a nice tasty shellfish curry stop ripping people off.

Food arrived on time, delicious lamb chops and chicken hoppers. Curries are lovely and all still hot. Staff are always polite and friendly

We have been getting take away from Barakat Balti in Dane Bank for the last 18 years and have highly recommended it to both friends and family describing it as better than restaurant standard food. However, the last three times, we have been very disappointed and now decided to find a new indian take away. The first time was a much loved madras which was lacking any depth of flavour, just pepper. Thinking that this may have just been a one off mistake, we ordered again but received a plain curry which has been ordered many times and enjoyed but was bland with a paratha that was over-cooked and hard. We gave them one more chance tonight but received a kebab sandwich with hard, dry chicken which I found inedible. The chicken is usually soft with excellent flavour. I don't know whether they have changed their chef or ownership but regrettably this is no longer to an acceptable standard for us.

We ordered a takeaway from our Premier Inn room in Denton. Food came at the time requested and was hot and SO delicious! and great value. We would definitely order from here again next time we are in the area.

Total Rubbish! Ordered from here a couple of months ago, was cold and tasteless. Had flyer threw door other day and thought perhaps they have sorted themselves out. Tried again tonight. Was exactly the same. Limp chips, soggy fish for my son. Cold curries. Only thing that was nice was the pops and mango!

Just orderd from Barajas Baltimore in denton chicken tikka was not nice and cold samosa like card board with not much filling inside we do order most week ends but after that tonight after find knew curry place disguised tryed to ring them tell them a was disappointed it’s all in the bin waste of money

I’m from Canada and recently moved to Manchester for work. I’ve been tasting the foods around here and they didn’t really satisfy my tastebuds until i came here. The food is just amazing, i have been ordering twice a week! Should be one of Manchesters best indian takeaways!!

Well I think the chief must have run out of the spices, chilly and even the salt that my veg Rogan Josh should have had infused into it whilst cooking. Curry! The only thing that I really could taste was the ghee. Very disappointed will not be getting take out from here again. Only give one star to write this review. I wouldnt have given any stars if I didnt have too.

We decided to try this takeaway as we normally go to a restaurant but was feeling tired after coming home from holiday. The samosas had very little meat in them and were mainly pastry. They were not particularly tasty either. We found the bhajis quite dry and may have been over cooked. The most disappointing was the curry...it was tasteless and bland with no sign of spice.the best part of the meal was the popoddums and onions. Will not be visiting again unfortunately.

We often get a takeaway from here, and they never let us down, the food is always delicious, hot and tasty. In busy periods, you may have to wait about an hour for delivery, but it is worth the wait.

Been using this takeaway for at least 10 years. Their food has been consistently good over this period of time using quality ingredients. The food is always tasty and spicy and true to their origins. Recommended for your Indian takeaway and also offers a delivery service.

Very bland food. No flavour. No taste. No spice. I had to wait longer then the quoted collection time. 30 mins longer. Poor experience. Sorry

It took over an 1hr 35mins for the food to arrive after being told it would be about 20mins.The delivery driver said that it always takes a minimum of 1hr 30mins on a Sunday ?The meal i ordered should have had chickpeas in it, i didn't see a single one?.The food was luke warm . No i won't be ordering from here again . It was the first and last I'm afraid

Thought we'd try here for a change. Onion bhaji was flavourless as were the sauces and red onions I ordered. Had a balti jalfrezi, the sauce was nice enough, not the 4 chilli heat it advertises but Ok, the chicken though was awful. Chewy and stringy, never eaten such bad chicken in my life. Please avoid at all costs.

I have just recently visited Barakat Balti after reading these reviews! I thought I would give it a try before judging them from what I read. HOWEVER, I cannot stress enough how AMAZING the food was. I was greeted by Mr Ullah who recommended me chef specials on the menu. He recommended Chutney Massala and Shashlik Kahari, do get these two dishes they were super exquisite!!! I recommend going and don't just read reviews and assume, you will not regret it!!

Just read some unhelpful Reviews about this takeaway....having been to this establishment many times since it opened suggest negative reviews are orchestrated by individuals who probably had attitude when they walked in probably worse for alcohol wear..or are rivals masquerading as customers or both... Sad people with some hangup in their own lives.

Brilliant Banlafeshi cooking from Mr Mullah and his team. The Chicken Pathia and Balti Rogan Josh are two favourites, and the Shashlik is a regular when my wife is on her annual diet. Very much recommended.

Never seen onion bhajis like these guys make, not round but flat, very different, a real nice difference. Chicken pakoras were excellent too, chunky & just crispy. I was in two minds what to get so i just had chicken tikka Massala with 3 pakoras and 1 onion bhajis and a couple of pompadoms, honestly cant wait to go again !! Good job i live in Wythenshawe coz ide be in there every night lol

Lovely clean premises & you can watch your food being prepared. Curries are nice but a little to watery for my liking. Their always seems to be water around the edge of my plate whilst I'm eating my meal, not sure if it comes from the rice or the curry itself.
