Absolutely gorgeous! Gorgeous vegetarian options fresh and clean. Lovely little restaurant with friendly staff. We will be regularly returning beyond impressed!

There was a lot of us and mixed reviews overall. me personally really enjoyed it...

We go there all time after my friends mentioned it and tonight we decided to go for curry we been there it was great night out we had plenty drink and food the food was fabulous service was very fast and efficient the price was so great was good and happy night out at affordable price will recommend to any one

We go here all the time, after my sister mentioned it and tonight we decided to order online and watch a movie. However we can't fault the personal atmosphere you get it's quiet, cosy and chilled out foods quality and the staff are polite. You can enjoy date night without hassle.

Went in for an anniversary meal, man behind the bar (who I think is the owner) shouted across the room asking what drinks we wanted, then came over and slammed them down on the table. Then told us we couldn't have starters as it was after 10pm, it was 9:45. When asked what the issue was, he told us we should have come in before 9pm “like most people” and that the chef didn’t like working past 10, we told him that if he didn’t want our business he should have told us he was closing before we sat down. Half way through our starter, he wanted to give us our main. During the main he arrogantly started to tell us how long hours he had been working and about inflation being tough on everyone. He was happy to bring the almost £60 bill over, not even 45 minutes after stepping foot into the establishment. Lights were turned off before we had left the building. Never again, better off visiting Mahal down the road or Herb and Spice next door. Owner should change closing time to 10 instead of 11 if he doesn’t want customers coming in late.

We’ve been to curry cottage several times and every time it is brilliant. We hadn’t been for a few months but went on bank holiday Monday evening and the food was amazing! It is always fresh, piping hot and has so much flavour. The service is always spot on and the guys there couldn’t be more welcoming. We hadn’t booked a table but they seated us no problem, favourites of ours are the vegetable chat puri (starter) and chicken tikka balti. The prices are really reasonable and portion sizes are great. If you want to support a small independent restaurant then we highly recommend visiting here

Food here is absolutely delicious and the all week deal is fantastic value for money. Haven't enjoyed a curry like that for a while, think this place is my new favourite Indian Restaurant. Will definitely be returning! Outstanding quality for the money.

Came to here for a early new-year curry I ordered the mix kebab starter and poppadoms . My starters was amazing Then I ordered the chicken tikka sizzler and massala sauce . The meal was very over cooked and the curry sauce was watery My gf ordered the mix grill sizzler was over cooked and same sauce which was watery also So I pulled the manager over and stated I'll pay for one main but not the other as I did eat my over cooked chicken but my Mrs hardly touched hers He did offer to get me another one but I said no thankyou and they did take the order off the list of payment my gf main course I may just got unlucky but for me and my gf to get the same doesn't seem unlucky seems like happens alot I am happy they did resolve the issue tho and did not argue

Food was gorgeous, service was top, family place

Absolutely prefect evening for food and drinks no matter the occasion or how hungry you are. Been coming hear a few years now, lamb chops are to die for, staff are super friendly and have had us on various evenings, sometimes just me and my partner other times.upto 8/10 of.us. definitely recommend to anyone

Papadoms I had to send back as they were pre cooked and warmed up, I could actually bend them in half. There was no ice and Lemmon for the water and a serious lack of chicken in the madras curry. The carpet in the restaurant is not clean, would be better suited to a hard floor covering. I’d give it about 3 out of 10 overall.

Great food £12.95 deals apart from hairs in one of the the starter and asked for a plain curry and it was hotter then a vindaloo and unedable apart from that was a plesent evening and rest of food great and service seemed decent all was mentioned to the taller waiter with bread we where sat in the corner near the kitchen the waiter said he'd give us a Portion of onion bhaji to take home never happened he seemed to be very disinterested to be honest

Real little hidden gem ive been coming here since I was a kid many years .. there deal is amazing any starter any main and any rice or bread for £13 . The food is beautiful ive not had one bad meal the staff are amazing and so help full real value for money 😋

This is lovely little place to eat. The staff was friendly and always on hand. The food was delicious can’t fault the food. You can see fully in the the kitchen and chefs cooking your food which is great.

Lovely place to eat, friendly staff and great food when eating in. Ordered a take out and it was terrible, I could have walked the 20 minutes it would have took me and the food would have been hotter it was stone cold. Waited 1hour and 40 minutes. The garlic naan I ordered half the middle was missing. Just poor all round such a difference from eating in. Such a shame

I went here for something to eat. No problems parking for all people.entrance slightly difficult for wheelchairs. Shown to a table and provided with a menu. Prices competitive. Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was not long in coming and was hot. It was very good and tasty.portions were good. I liked the window seat. I will be going back.

Never had any cause to complain before but ordered a takeaway and won’t be doing again. The veg korma was swimming in water and hardly any veg. It was totally tasteless.

My partner and I decided to dine there this evening and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious and well portioned, the atmosphere was lovely, but the staff topped the lot.

Arrived at 5pm, bang on opening time. At least 8 other people waiting. Offered drinks immediately and chose our meal. Served quickly and efficiently by very friendly staff. The whole meal experience was absolutely brilliant. As a frequent visitor to many of the Indian restaurants in the Tameside area I strongly recommend the Curry Cottage. It us excellent. A word of advice, I suggest you book in advance as it is only a small restaurant (seats about 30ish). From our experience, you won't be disappointed.

Food was nice, pre booked my table but when we got there we had to wait this shouldn't happen when you have pre booked a table

Doesn't look like or taste like curry,from the starters to the mains.Bland food ,no spice ,no flavours,wasted my money on that experience.

Ate here for the 1st time recently. Quite small inside so if there was several of you, you would prob have to book in advance There was 4 of us and midweek so was able to get a table just walking in. Staff were friendly polite and attended to our table quickly and efficiently. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Toilets were clean but were upstairs so not suitable for those who couldnt manage the stairs. Overall it was a lovely eve out and will most definitely be visiting again.

Not great ! Cold starters Curry good but roti unbeatable

Ordered chicken tikka bhuna. The bhuna had no flavour and was very oily/watery Chips were coated in grease. If I wasn’t starving I would have took it back. Great rice tho 👍🏻

Lovely relaxing place with great food

Myself and my two sons made a telephone booking for a table for three at 10pm via a call around 8pm on the same night. When we arrived at 9:55pm the restaurant was completely empty of customers, just one member of staff visible. When I advised him we’d booked a table for 10pm he visibly smirked and said “I don’t think so”. Completely confused it was very evident that this booking wasn’t going to happen. This member of staff (Manager?) was the rudest, most unprofessional, uncaring, annoying man I think I’ve ever met. He literally all but called me a liar, asked who I’d spoken to (when has anyone ever given their name when answering calls at this restaurant, never in my experience and I have eaten there a good few times in the past, that’s why we travelled there!) We were all completely gobsmacked by his arrogant dismissive insulting attitude. After exchanging a few heated words we left. I would advise anyone to do themselves a favour and go to Herb & Spice which is literally yards away from this one, service and food there was excellent. Couldn’t zero rate so grudgingly had to give it one.

Been going cottage for about 25 years now....taj mahal before. Never had a bad meal. Love the food and staff always so pleasant. Chicken silsilla is gorgeous with special rice. Good vodka measures too 🤣well worth a visit. See you next week x

Cramped, over crowded seating. Poor service, took ages before we were even given menu's. Good not great, poppadoms were stale.

I go out for a curry with my friend every couple of months, the curry cottage is now our local. We've tried all the others around the Dukinfield and Stalybridge area and the Curry Cottage is the best by far. They have offers on which makes it a reasonable night out. Food is great. Happy to accomodate any changes you wish. Always freshly made, nice and hot. Friendly staff.

Came for curry with partner got mixed grill with masala sauce asked for spicy no spice whats so ever, the meat was that burnt couldn’t cut the lamb and all meat was very dry, twice told we didn’t want chips but out cone chips that can tell was cooked in dirty fat by the colour of the chips, wouldn’t even let my dog eat this food was very disappointed told the man for his response the meat is dry and burnt on mixed grill will defo not return avoid at all cost

We often pop into Curry Cottage for a meal as it's fairly local. It's also the restaurant we judge others by, as the food is always really good, the service is prompt and friendly and at very reasonable prices. Thanks for another lovely meal, we'll keep coming!

Been there last night absolutely fabulous food and service fresh food cooking in there open plan kitchen could see while you dine in or take a way best Indian restaurant in Tameside

Used to enjoy eating in here. However, had a takeaway delivery this evening. Paneer pakora overcooked, in soggy and greasy batter. Same with the stuffed mushrooms. Reshmi kebab greasy, tasteless and hard. Naan bread tiny. All delivered in plastic containers so not very environmentally friendly. Will try somewhere else next time.

We ordered a take away they said 45 mins to 1 hour . After an Hour and a half i rang them they said it would be here in 15 minutes . Thirty minutes later They Rang me to ask our adress and say The delivery would be a further 30 Minutes . The delivery Dident arrive . AHH WELL its a frozen Pizza for tea . I have had to rate them but if i could it would be a minus .

First time ordering from here for my mum and dad who have curry every Saturday night from the same place but fancied a change so I suggested here! They are fussy eaters and wasnt disappointed in the slightest, fresh food nice and hot and plenty of meat couldnt fault a thing! Presentation was a plus also! They wont be going back to the old curry house after having this! Well enjoyed it, thank u :)

Went to celebrate my partners 30th. Disgusted with the service! Won’t be recommending to anyone I know! My partners 7 year old brother has autism as we walked in and were seated he got upset (for a short time and his only way of communicating this is to cry) we ordered drinks and the manager came and asked what’s wrong with him, his mum explained he’s autistic and his reply to her was do you want to order and go home so he doesn’t upset other customers! RUDE! Then we were rushed with our food. Never have we been made to feel so unwelcome in a restaurant! Wouldn’t go back here now if if we didn’t have children!

So lastnight my mum brother his girlfriend and nephew went to curry cottage in dukinfield.

I arranged a yearly curry get together back at the beginning of December for 12 of my colleagues I used to work with and it was absolutely fantastic. First time for me although was suggested by my friends. Without doubt... a superb place with very attentive service and excellent food. I went the following week again with just family and yet again outstanding service and food. Very highly recommend.

We decided to call as live close and often pass by. Food was fine (not much meat included however), taste was good, naan bread and poppadoms were very good. Service was great, very friendly host/server and manager was friendly. The restaurant is very small/compact but this didn't cause any issues. Price was very good for two of us.
