Amazing food and lovely staff. Eaten in and take away many times and never been disappointed. Would recommend the Murgi Jaflongi to anyone! The best curry by far.

A little bit disappointed in my visit the staff were lovely & friendly but it was lacking in atmosphere & felt a bit grubby. The food was okay but seems to of lost a bit of its spark.

I brought my family here as it is somewhere we used to eat regularly years ago, but loved away from the area. The food was just as incredible always, full of flavour. The chicken in the chicken dishes was excellent too, not dry or poor quality. The service was outstanding. Several waiters on hand at all times to take orders and answer questions. Always very polite and interacted with everyone at the table, even the kids, so no one felt left out. Just an overall brilliant experience. I would always recommend the Red Rose to anyone who wants an excellent curry with great service.

I ordered a chicken tikka kebab and it had 4 little bit of chicken in it very poor won’t go there again to be honest it was a joke to look at,

Top restaurant....food and service excellent

We were looking for a late night curry and were told this restaurant was open, we got there around 10:30 pm. We were kindly treated, looked after and the food was not bad, my test dish of Lamb Madras was just the way I like it. There is not much else to say, as Curry Houses have had their day and its time to move on, but this was one of the better traditional ones. Would I go back, yes I would if passing, but a food destination it is not.

This is fast becoming one of my favourite places to order delivery from. Food is delicious and excellent quality, we especially love the Vegetable Byriani and the Balti Exotica. Delivery is fantastic. It's great to be able to preorder delivery. We will definitely be ordering again 😁

Food was good but dissatisfaction in the location of toilets ( no disabled access and steep stairs) as well as the god awful smell down the stairs to get to them! Atmosphere was ok also but a large party in at the same time made conversation hard to hear!

Good food, hot and tasty! Friendly staff....only criticism is the ladies toilets need some attention....huge cobwebs and lots of dust so it's a bit off putting....quick whip round the ceiling with a duster should do the trick! Otherwise enjoyable, relaxed place to eat!

Excellent food and service. Curries are fresh and very tasty! Naga pickle and lime pickle given with popadoms, excellent start! Lamb chops for starter cooked chard tandoori style, delicious! Chicken tikka hari merchi with mushroom rice, chips and garlic naan, cannot fault any of it

We have used the red rose for years and always enjoyed the food and friendly atmosphere. However over the last 5 or 6 visits the food has progressively got worse. Dry, little flavour and a major let down...pastures new for us from now on.

Delicious food with generous but sensible portion sizes. Enjoyed their special Sunday offer. I will definitely be a repeat customer. There are not photos because we were too busy eating it all lol

A friend recommended this restaurant and it turned out to be great advice. I’m sure there are other good Indian restaurants in the area but surely they can’t be as good as this one! Our welcome was warm and we were quickly seated and given menus. We were spoiled for choice as there are so many interesting and delicious sounding dishes. I went for the lamb on the bone which was simply superb. Spicy, delicious and a big portion. The same comments can be applied to the other main courses we had. There is a good selection of drinks and the service throughout was superb. Highly recommended.

First time trying and following good reviews looked forward to trying. Ordered through website which has a tracker. Ordered food at 19:30 and according to tracker should have been delivered at 20:30. I called at 20:40 food out for delivery, rang again at 21:10 be with you any minute. 21:15 food arrived. 1 hour 45 minute wait. Food overall was fairly nice but cold therefore spoilt it. If you can’t offer an adequate delivery service don’t offer one! Won’t be ordering again.

Have eaten in the restaurant many times and have really missed you since lock down. Ordered a takeaway tonight and you did not disappoint. Food was delicious as always and plenty of it. Can’t wait until we return to normal and can come back to the restaurant.

My partner and myself dine here regularly, great food, good service (friendly staff) and reasonable prices. No curry house in the area comes close to the Red Rose, consistently good.

Been going here for years. Ahmed, the manager, is a lovely man and very helpful when advice is needed. They do 'Deshi nights' where they provide food which you won't find on the menu. These are well priced and well worth a try. We are booked in for the next one at the end of the month. We always find the food here very good and they will adapt most dishes to suit our tastes. Would highly recommend.

Amazing food and lovely staff would recommend a visit. We have been many times and never had a bad meal. We've even been a few times on Christmas day which was great,they put on a free raffle with various prizes and a free glass of wine is included with the three course meal all for less than £30 each,great value for money. They also do maybe twice a year a night during the week where they cook Indian food that you don't normally get on a menu,not to be missed. They have a set price on a Sunday.

I eat here a lot and the food is always excellent. Tonight I had something new (Murgi Chatva) which was delicious. Popadoms are always fresh and the naan breads are superb.

8 of us had a meal here and poppadoms were fresh, starters varied and tasty and mains were all excellent. Efficient service - no waiting while takeaways prepared as can often happen in other establishments. Management solicitous to our needs - we will return.

don,t get me wrong the food was alright i ordered two chicken madrases menu says hot no kick to it at all iv,e had hotter curry beaked beans and the mushroom rice i ordered had more water in it than my sons water bottle

First time here. Pleasant staff and comfortable dining area. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but unfortunately, the wine we chose, the Chardonnay, which was one of the more expensive wines, was just poor quality. It's a shame restaurants don't get proper guidance on their wine lists. The only other thing I would mention is to try to avoid sitting in one of the booths, as they are cramped and very upright.

We have enjoyed eating at the Red Rose for many years. The food, ambience and service are maintained at a consistently high standard. Yesterday's visit was typical. The Sunday Special offers a five course meal for 10.95. There is a broad choice of options across all courses. The food looks and tastes fresh and well cooked and presented. The service was excellent. If anything,the waiters were a little too attentive at times. I can honestly say that I cannot remember having any unpleasant experience over the many years we have visited the restaurant. If you have never been to the Red Rose, please do try it. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

We arranged to cone here for a work night out (Around 20 of us). We were greeted with friendly staff and was served promptly. We all had various dishes and staff helped reccomend new dishes to try. We all said our food was delicious and plentiful and was a great price! We will definitely eat there again

children having flown the nest we decided to try something different for Christmas day . we booked for 4 course indian meal for Christmas and were not disappointed . the restaurant was well dressed for the day with crackers on the tables . we were on 12.00 sitting and after ordering drinks we got our first course of popps and dips . service was good and attentive . the other courses followed and were equally tasty and filling . the last course was an indian sweet we had never tried before but it was two sausage shaped sponge with some sort of syrup flavour and cream , different but very nice . there was complimentary wine and a free raffle , we didn't win but it was good to see others take home an unexpected gift . good experience and different to usual festive fayre . well done red rose

Have eaten in Rusholme many times, moved into Mossley a month ago and thought I'd give this place a try, superb !!! Food really tasty and the service was awesome, portion sizes just right and price very reasonable, will be back very soon.

Having been so disappointed with both La Quilla Mossley and Chutney Masala, we decided to give the Red Rose a try. Wow what a difference, everything was spot on. the service especially the the food, the prices and even the decor and Comfort of the restaurant. The wc area could do with a coat of paint. But none the less I cannot recommend this place highly enough!!

Glad to have discovered this place. Staff are really friendly and the food is delicious. Slowly working our way round the menu and have enjoyed every dish we’ve tried so far. Highly recommend the Balti Nepal, very tasty indeed.

New to us this curry place & Local too. Nice staff, nice decor, lovely food, reasonable prices. We had 2 meals off the special selection chicken & lamb, a Garlic & corriander nann & starters if Mushrooms & Bahjis Top notch!

We ate here on Boxing Day this year after deciding against getting a takeaway from another local curry house. I am so pleased we did as we have now discovered a great indian restaurant close to home. The value is fantastic, service was friendly and attentive and the food was also delicious!

Ordered a basic chicken Rogan Josh and a Bombay potato side dish , chicken over cooked and dry , sauce seasoned , potatoes under cooked and hard . No apologies no offer of a replacement meal or refund , disgraceful see service .

Been going to Red Rose for 10 years plus and always rated as gorgeous food, never will I go again after tonight. Chose a 1 chilli new vegetable curry and asked could it be made spicier/hotter, no problem they said, curry came and it was dry, stodgy and tasteless, horrible consistency and horrible flavour, I ate 1 mouthful and left the rest, told the waiter who got the manager who told me it was not nice because I asked for it to be spicier and that ruined the curry as it wasn't meant to be spicier? Why when I asked them did they not say this? They said yes can make it spicier no problem!! Didn't get any oh really sorry it wasn't good or any offer of an alternative or anything, just my fault??? Unbelievably very poor customer service and no loyalty to customers, I usually go or get a takeaway every few weeks but sadly due to such an unacceptable response I will never spend money here again, I did actually say this to them and still no apology for the poor food. Shocking diabolical response

The restaurant is one of our favourites. The lamb chops are to die for. Don't forget the Sunday special for £9.99.

We have visited this restaurant many times as it is very local to where we live but I have never thought of putting it on trip advisor as we have been on so many occasions . However, as the staff are always so lovely and so attentive, the food is always gorgeous and it is excellent value for money I really think it warrants an excellent review.

Been to this restaurant on many occasions and never been disappointed with the varied menu and quality of the food. Sometimes it takes a little long to get served but I put this down to the freshness of the food which always seems cook to order. Sunday teatime offer is exceptional value for money, you need to book.

This is disappointing as we usually have such lovely meals here.....We made the mistake of dining on Sunday which we forgot was the £9.95 menu. We didn't want to eat off that so asked for a la carteThe order was initially completely wrong and had to go back - there were only two of us When the right meals arrived they were bland and lacking in meat content- I had five pieces of lamb and the missus an ever more miserly fourWill not eat here on Sunday again

Had a great meal here with my partner on Sunday night for the 5 course for £9.95 option. Did not expect to come out so satisfied at that price! Food was amazing and was clearly cooked fresh and service was also very good. We only live round the corner so we can deffo say we will be back.

Not your bog standard restaurant. Loads of different dishes. Wine is good value. Main portions are big. Only issue was cheese nan wasn't that cheesy but it didn't spoil the meal. 2 courses, poppadoms, pickles & wine £47.

This is the best Indian food we have had for some time. The poppadoms were very fresh and moreish. The onions went well with coriander in them! The Pashwari Nan perfect and an amazing Balti Lahori Gosht. We couldn't manage the Manchurian Chicken, saving for tomorrow! Definitely recommended.

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends and we have recommended it to many of our friends. The food is fantastic and as a member of our family has dietary requirements we have always found staff helpful, obliging and friendly. We have take out meals to order and these are of an equally high standard.

Really welcoming place. Lots of different things not found in other restaurants. Bangladeshi specials are highly reocmmended, especially 'Jaflongi'.Cobra on draught.I've taken the kids a couple of times and they always get a nice welcome and enjoy curry specially made to their taste.

Red Rose is the very very best curry in Tameside, visited so many different restaurants thinking how boring keep going to red rose but honestly nowhere else matches up to the flavour and standard of cooking, consistently never fails to provide excellent food and service whether in the restaurant or a delivered takeway. Please keep up the high standard

Been here many times in the past, great atmosphere, fantastic friendly staff, food has never disappointed and fast efficient service.This is my favourite restaurant bar none.Well worth a visit or two.

A large group of 20 of us dined here tonight. Although the restaurant is small and cosy they accommodated our group very well. The food was absolutely delicious. They have some great Bangladeshi style curries as well as traditional Indian and some chefs specials. Choosing was hard! The waiters were great at recommending curries to suit different tastes. The reviews from everyone in our group was that the flavours of in their meals were really good and they enjoyed the meal. Would highly recommend this place.

Not reviewed this place for a long time but just to let people know it's still as good. We visit regularly or have food delivered to home. They have started doing speciality evenings. We went to a 'Deshi' night where they served up authentic food that they eat other than curries. This was an excellent evening. They plan on doing 2 a year. The staff are always friendly and very efficient. The food is excellent and always fresh.

The red rose is most definitely myfavourite restaurant of all time and it has been since I was little. Perfect for families, friends and couples. Such a lot of choice with an English menu incase the kids aren't keen on spice (though I've never used it.) The staff are honestly some of the nicest people you will ever meet and very welcoming and help as much as they possibly can and answer all inquires. Hygiene rating 5 very clean modern and recently decorated. Not to mention it's so close by!! A definite must try all will love it!

Ate here twice about six years ago and was very unimpressed on both occasions. Having read the mainly positive reviews on here decided it was time to give it another go. So pleased we did. The waiting-on was excellent. The food was exquisite. Lovely curry sauces (both of us) and beautifully cooked chickenQuite simply- lovely

Excellent meet and greet by very friendly sraff. Service was first class , staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing and we didn't wait very long for it. The restaurant is absolutely spotless with a hygiene rating of 5. I would definitely recommend this resturant. Give it a try you'll love it

The Red Rose has recently been renovated and very pleasant is the decor too. It's light and airy and compliments great food and value too. The menu is extensive with some Bangladeshi dishes not often seen at other venues. Great choice of food, never disappoints.The Sunday 5 course special is a give away, try getting a seat between 6 and 8, that's testimony to how good it is and you'll see the same satisfied people in week after week.To cap it all off the service is fantastic, the staff are pleasant and friendly with the most affable owner you cold wish for. The only negative is that the service can be a little slow on a busy Sunday. That said you always get an apology for it!Best of all is that most of us little old Mossley have this too ourselves!

Very disappointed we had a madras which was not very nice it should of been spicy hot but was very mild and not much taste we was the only ones in so the atmosphere wasn't very good .we had heard good reviews about the red rose but we won't be going again

It's a couple of years since I visited this restaurant, but I was not disappointed. The welcome was warm and the Cobras cold. The poppadums were crisp and light, but the batter on my fish tikka was a bit soggy - my only minus of the night. My main was a lamb and spinach dish which was new to me and very enjoyable. The service was polite and friendly and not pushy. I'll have no hesitation in going again.

Use red rose to eat in and deliver, have had bad experiences but the management always respond the right way.Restaurant is warm and friendlyMenu is varied and the chef does cook to suit which is always a good option. Our family enjoys Indian cuisine and after trying many local restaurants this is our "go to" for both eat in and takeaway. All the usual curries are available but the Bangladeshi specialities and fusion dishes are a little more unusual and skilfully prepared. I would recommend the Murghi Jaflongi (chicken dish). Vegetarians are well catered for and the waiter discusses your preferred heat level with you. Pleasant surroundings, on street parking outside usually not a problem. Friendly attentive staff, and service usually prompt; the only time we had to wait a little while was because there was a large party just in front of us and the waiter explained this to us.

Have visited this restaurant for years during the tenure of a few different managers. The food is always excellent and the staff are friendly and attentive. Even though we have been going for years the staff are not too familiar and treat us with respect. The food is always fresh and well cooked. There are a number of specials on the menu which my husband tries, I tend to stick to the well known dishes. The décor is refreshed regularly. Last year the carpet was renewed and the chairs recovered. Well worth a visit. The take-away food is also excellent and at a discount. Free delivery in the local area.

Great little curry house where the food can only be described as excellent. The service is very friendly and attentive without getting in your face. The Sunday buffet is a real bargain and also very popular so you need to book to avoid disappointment.

The food is amazing. I very recommend it if you like spicy curry food but you can get non spicy curries.My favourite is garlic and spinach naan bread,it's amazing!

Four of us went for a curry here after a few drinks in town. The staff were very welcoming and polite and we were seated quickly. We were really pleased to see pathia on the menu as it's one of our favourite curries. We were not disappointed, it was delicious! My husband didn't know what to order and the waiter took the time to find out what his tastes were before recommending a curry which was also lovely! We took a copy of the menu home and will definitely order from here the next time we get a takeaway!

Called in on spec last Saturday to see how food compared to when we lived in Mossley in the nineties. Recent refurbishment has been well done and gives the place a very pleasant atmosphere but best of all is the food.Authentic, tasty starters were excellent and gave a different choice to the run of the mill same old options so often seen on menus. The lamb shank dish was fantastic and it is easy to see why other dishes have won awards as they were well spiced and delicious. Bit of a trip for us now we have moved but will be back as the food is certainly worth it

We went once and the food was far too salty... But we gave it the benefit of the doubt and went again to see if it was just a one off. Unfortunately it wasn't and it was too salty again!!!It's a nice restaurant, the service was great etc. A lot of people think it's a lovely place to eat, but I make all my food from scratch and so I'm not used to processed food which contains a lot of salt.... So it was all I could taste!!!!

Awesome curry house. Food excellent and varied menu, The Balti Nepal or Chicken Tikka Chilli Massala are person favs. good value and excellent service. The chef has won the Oldham curry championship various times over the last few years so you are virtually guaranteed a quality meal.
