The best restaurants in Primrose Ribble Valley North West

We visit regularly, the best samosas in town! A real treat, the best street food to enjoy while you mooch around town on a Saturday afternoon!

Just bought a sausage, bacon and egg butty to take back home from an early morning stroll around town. I’ll be back again next weekend. That was delicious! Proper tasty meat that and generous. Isn’t worth trying to make my own any more to get one like yours. Cheers!

Most excellent day. We go every year for a brilliant weekend. Gets better every year. Book your hotels early or there won't be a room to spare.

We was in Clitheroe early morning & had two hours to pass, We wandered through the town following signs to the market, unfortunately the market wasn't on, however we stumbled across this lovely little place, didn't look much from the exterior but was early & assumed they was setting up, We went in, got a friendly good morning asked if we was ok, sat down looked at the menu, plenty of choices to be had, we both opted for a smaller breakfast (black pudding was awesome) & coffee, we did swap an item out. The breakfast came quite quickly lovely presented & very hot! A slight mistake probably due to me swapping an item, the lady rectified the issue promptly & apologised. We said no harm done & appreciated the fact it was sorted quickly. Toilets was nice & clean, smelt fresh, Water bowl outside for your dog. If we visit Clitheroe again, we will 100% come here again, A lovely proper cafe!

The standards are very high and on many visits very consistent, food cooked very well with a very good level of service ,would always highly recommend to anyone who hasn't popped in for a bite to eat to give it a try

Came in for a solo brunch on a busy Sunday. Food was perfect and the service was on point. A great addition to Clitheroe. Will be revisiting soon.

Fabulous place so relaxed friendly Great selection vegan and vegatarian food The vegan carrots cake is the best we've had. Right near Clitheroe Market so really great on market days .

Regularly visit here for the best fish n chips in Clitheroe. Always a friendly, warm welcome and they go the extra mile to accommodate all customer requests. Excellent.

What a truly lovely family-run business with a focus on customer satisfaction. I was looking for a venue to host a family gathering and the fabulous owners of this very pretty and well-organised cafe came up trumps! We were able to have the private room and conservatory at the back of the cafe which was cosy and intimate and yet also spacious. A scrummy buffet was laid on for us with a great election of delicious sandwiches, quiches, salads, crisps and cakes. We were a group of 30 relatives and friends and everyone commented on the quality of the food. Unlimited tea and coffee was served in proper cups and saucers and the whole experience from being welcomed on arrival to be waved goodbye as we left, was just faultless! I have not hesitation in recommending the food, drinks, staff service and general welcoming atmosphere of The Apricot Meringue!

Fantastic food but missed 2 of our veg curry's on delivery. Rang and soon delivered. Beautiful food though. Tandoori mixed grill very good.

Great meal ,great value, very clean and smart, brilliant staff , spotless facilities. Used fixed menu for our visit, best crispy beef i have ever had.

This place has been shut for months. It Isn't open. You can't get in. Because it's shut. It's closed. Not open. Not having a break.

It's a lovely setting for a bit of lunch, but leave the car at home, not much parking and it's always a tight fit!!

Actually it was a take-away. At £46 not as cheap as previously. No w no free delivery for spending over £15. Delivery charge, by Foodhub. OK only £2.50. It becomes worse. Poppadoms and sauces were free. Now itemised. Fine. Told them over phone no lime pickle. So they decided to send an unasked for Chilli pickle. If I do not like lime am I likely to like Chilli? Food acceptable. Even the delivery driver apologised for delivery charge. Said many people had said same. And hence did not give tips. I did. However may well be last time I deal with this restaurant. Reminds one of dear places where there is a charge for everything, even a small portion of peas.
