Actually it was a take-away. At £46 not as cheap as previously. No w no free delivery for spending over £15. Delivery charge, by Foodhub. OK only £2.50. It becomes worse. Poppadoms and sauces were free. Now itemised. Fine. Told them over phone no lime pickle. So they decided to send an unasked for Chilli pickle. If I do not like lime am I likely to like Chilli? Food acceptable. Even the delivery driver apologised for delivery charge. Said many people had said same. And hence did not give tips. I did. However may well be last time I deal with this restaurant. Reminds one of dear places where there is a charge for everything, even a small portion of peas.

Nice but nothing to write home about, sat down in the bar area and had a couple of drinks. Order our food and taken to our table, the starter was good and the main meals were good, but again nothing to write home about. Merry Christmas.

We should’ve known better! The place was empty (midweek at 9pm) Food tasted ok but all 4 of us were rough during the night - which was not ideal as we were staying in our campervans at the site at Edisford Farm. Only positive was spotless toilets! Don’t do it.

We were in clitheroe for the day and decided to go eat in the restaurant after walking past at just gone 5pm, warmly greeted, we both had mixed starters which were lovely, mains chicken jalfrezi and chicken balti, the chicken was beautifully soft in both meals, both portions of pilau and veg rice very nice and the nicest chilli naan we've ever tasted, would thoroughly recommend.

We had to sit in the entrance to order a drink and look at the menu while they got our table ready, the restaurant was almost empty. Once ordered they took us to our table. The food was pretty tasteless and not very warm. Once we had finished our meal, they brought over a complimentary drink, which made us feel they wanted us to leave. No offer of dessert or even coffee. We will not return.

Visited with my partner and will never go back. We both opted for the Sunday buffet and it seemed an inconvenience that we had, and hadn’t gone for the menu.

The Dil Raj is well known in Clitheroe and has been around a while. It's always good for a late night curry, it has friendly staff and the food is really tasty. Raj is a great bloke and we love it here.

Okay so the decor isnt the best, but what it lacks in appearance it certainly makes up for in value! My family and I often go for the sunday buffet, which is always tasty and satisfying. The staff are so friendly and nothing is ever too much for them. One of the best Indians in the area!

I have been here before and enjoyed it- I am local- but didnt review it so after tonight felt it deserved a review. I went on my own and had some delicious Dhal soup followed by Chicken Tikka Jaipur- this was delicious too, light and lots of tomato. Rive and Chapato also great. Had a complimentary Baileys too. Service attentive and not intrusive. All round great meal, weill be returning for sure!

We booked a table on a Friday night ahead of going to a gig locally. No point in booking really, the reception was akin to being 'kettled' by the Met Police. We finally managed to break out of the cordon and grab a table. The service staff seemed to have been trained by Tim Nice But Dim, to describe it as slow and incompetent would be generous. The food was appalling. It is really hard to burn saag paneer but this was toasted in the extreme, with only a cursory glance to the paneer supply. Naga chicken tikka was completely devoid of naga, or any spice or recognisable taste for that matter. The breads were dried to inedibility. The only vaguely interesting dish was the veg curry that unexpectedly arrived with the chicken shaslick. I did try to sing along at the gig, but the indigestion got the better of me. There must be decent Indian restaurants in the area, this isn't one of them.

Visited the Dil Raj after seeing an AC/DC band at The Grand so we were pretty late going in there for a curry. Food was lovely and there were lots of different things on the menu that we had not seen in other curry houses. The staff were very friendly and the prices reasonable. Customers were still coming in at twenty to midnight. It was keeping busy with take away food too.

My wife and I came across this quaint tea shop quite by chance, as it is on the outskirts of the village and laid back from the road behind a small cobbled forecourt. On entering we found it contained eight tables and quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. We ordered coffees and sandwiches which were made to order and absolutely delicious.I shall definitely return and tell my friends about it.Im not certain of the opening hours,so will need to check before I return.I thoroughly recommend it.

Turned up at about 8.50am on Easter bank holiday Monday. Had checked the website before hand. It said open at 8am. So we went along. 4 of us. Three adults and a 2 year old. Got to the door, which was open. Was told “we open in 10 minutes” we asked if we could sit inside for that time (because it was a bit chilly outside) but the dark haired girl said she was doing the cashing up so no we couldn’t. I was there with my daughters and a 2 year old. We were hardly going to rob the place. Plus, it turned out when we got inside that this was a building with a very open communal seating area which she could have let us sit at for 10 minutes. We ordered our food. I asked if there was any juice for kids (the 2 year old) - the dark haired girl working said “only what we’ve got in the fridge”. I said “don’t you have any orange juice or anything like that?” The reply being - “only what we’ve got in the fridge” which was those pretentious glass bottles of 1930’s fizzy pop (the brand that does stuff like dandelion and burdock). I bought two bottles of “Orange and Mandarin” thinking they weren’t fizzy. They were. More fool me. Basically Tory Fanta. Anyway. I went and sat down with my older daughters and my 2 year old son. My daughters ordered avocado on toast with salmon. I had a full English being the uncouth soul that I am. I asked if they have a kids menu for my 2 year old. The answer was no. I ordered him beans, one sausage and some scrambled eggs. I was told this could be done from the side menu, that alone cost £7.50. The beans, sausage and eggs came out on the same plate as one of my daughters breakfast. We had to guess that was the case (not mastermind but still ridiculously daft that they’d do this) we had to ask for a plate for my 2 year old who was in a high chair. Anyway. Another family came in about the same time as us. Low and behold another of their staff bought out two huge glasses of orange juice for them. So they did have other drinks available. My full English was ok, but it wasn’t great. The bacon was burned. It wasn’t crispy like the menu says. It was burned. So if the proprietor/owner wants to reply to this with a clever comment. The bacon was burned. Also, the poached eggs were COLD. And I don’t mean not quite warm, they were cold. We were the first people in, the place wasn’t busy and somehow I was served cold poached eggs. I’ve re read through the menu tonight before writing this review. Whenever I choose a place to eat again I’m always going to look for the word “Artisan” because that to me, on the whole means not very good. The “Artisan” toast I received was just sliced bread, but toasted. They even claim to have an “Artisan” Brioche bun If you look up the definition of “Artisan” in the dictionary it says. a person or company that produces something (such as cheese or wine) in limited quantities often using traditional methods —often used before another noun artisan breads I don’t think that you can claim that obviously pre sliced bread or even a Brioche Bun is “Artisan”. There’s too many mediocre cafes/restaurants who have latched onto this word and used it. The company website claims “We focus on quality and sustainability above all, which extends to everything we do. From our suppliers to takeaway packaging, we carefully select each element keeping you and the planet in mind. We support local, and well-being of the community is at the heart of what we do.” This is nonsense. My daughters asked for some tap water, they were pointed towards one of those fancy upside down glass water bottles, and plastic cups, plastic lids. Lots of plastic. They had paper straws. I don’t know about you, but if you want to be really sustainable, if someone asks for tap water, give them a glass of tap water in a glass. Zero plastic, zero waste. To finish up. Pros - pretty pattern on the coffee. Cons - Really incredibly gormless staff; bad cook who can’t even cook bacon or keep a poached egg warm; rude; not child friendly as no kids menu even at weekends/bank holidays (although there was a couple of high chairs). As you can imagine I will never be going back to this place. I’ve given them two stars because my daughter liked the swirly pattern on the top of her Flat White.

I hadn't been in Tastebuds for some time for a breakfast so today I thought I'd give it a try. I t was busy and so I was prepared to wait, 40 mins. later I got my food, some of it was warm some was cold(tomato) the sausage was well cooked and hard on one side and hard to cut through and the bacon... must have been the smallest piece I have ever had, the egg when picked up dropped to bits, oh the mushrooms were ok and at £8.95 I thought it was very overpriced for the quality and what I got.
