Taste Of India in Ribble Valley

Fantastic food but missed 2 of our veg curry's on delivery. Rang and soon delivered. Beautiful food though. Tandoori mixed grill very good.

My wife and I have ordered deliveries from Taste of India regularly for the last 5 years and never been disappointed. The food is just superb and the value too. Clitheroe is blessed with several excellent Indian restaurants and takeaways but Taste of India stands out as being the very best. I cannot recommend enough.

Had an excellent takeaway tonight as an anniversary meal. Beautifully cooked and reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of the meal. Thank you so much Taste of India. We shall be coming back soon.

We order CTM, korma and jalfrezi with Bombay potatoes and poppadoms. Korma and Jalfrezi incredibly sweet and artificial in flavour and appearance. CTM and Bombay potatoes pretty good. Price reasonable but we did it eat half the dishes. Sorry but there is a lot better options. Also only take cash.

Usual take away closed on a Tuesday night so stopped here. Old, unassuming take away both inside and out with a twist. The most open "open kitchen" I have seen with the counter where you get served having a chef at work behind it with all ingredients to hand. Just a simple chicken tikka biryani and naan that they threw complimentary poppadoms in with. Nice touch. Taste was good and I might be more adventurous next time.

Great food, good flavours, piping hot very good value. Highly reconmend. Will be back. Produced on time .

Ordered for takeaway and was advised it would be around 1 hour 40 mins which was fine, I called after 2 hours to see where my food was and then it turned up about 15 mins later. The delivery driver was lovely and very apologetic. However my food was stone cold, I had to put it in the oven for 20 mins before I could eat it. Food is really tasty though.. when it’s hot!

I called here a few weeks ago and whilst standing at the counter I could not believe what I saw, so I switched phone camera on. Wiping the kebab meat off the skewers, all, not one, with the same dirty looking cloth as he was wiping surfaces with ! Also, look at the state of his clothing worn in the kitchen Yeah... my stomach and bowels suffered for days and my order was not from that batch. This is a screenshot of the video, the video of course shows it all. Never again.

This is by far the best Indian takeaway in clitheroe, if you are ordering get it delivered as parking is limited.

Incredible quality, flavour and portions. This remains the best Indian Takeaway for miles around. The delivery is quick, efficient and very polite. Full marks to a great team.

Use this place regularly and it’s always good food and service. The staff are friendly on the phone and in person, the food tasty and in good portions. Delivery is usually much quicker than others in town. First choice for a curry in town

Top quality Indian food, cooked to order and delivered hot to the door. This place is unbeatable, and I don't know why there are any other Indian take-aways still left in business!

Fantastic food, great service and prompt delivery. Nowhere can match the quality of this place, I would have a Taste of India every night if I could!

The staff are always friendly and the food is consistently good. I've been several times. They make their own tandoori and Indian breads, always a plus. Definitely worth a try

Favourite place in Clitheroe to get an Indian meal. Always well cooked and large portions too. Friendly service with a complimentary coffee while you wait.

A long time since We’ve had such a great Indian meal. Lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka korma, pilau rice and naan bread. Shish kebab starter was particularly tasty.The service was exceptional.

Got a lamb jahl frezzi egg fried rice and a nan bread. Neither the curry or the rice were over oily and had a lovely traditional taste, and very good quality meat too. I've been to a few around the ribble valley and this is by far the best. Try it you won't regret it.

I recently checked out all the Indian Takeaways (4) and restaurants (1) in Clitheroe. (I passed on the Kyber as that is more of a kebab place). To compare and contrast, I ordered a Rogan Josh from each establishment and with family and friends we tasted them blind and voted on the best. I then revealed the order of merit by holding up the takeaway menus. Taste of India came out tops with the Indian Plaza across the road second. The Taste of India Rogan Josh was well flavoured and distinctive with better balance of spices. More interesting than the standard bland oily onion puree topped with tomatoes. I have since run a similar test on vindaloo from Taste Of India and a nearby establishment and again Taste of India came out tops.

Having moved out of Clitheroe only six months ago, I haven't had a decent Indian take-away since. Tonight my daughter picked up a Taste of India on her way to visit us, WOW! That is it, I'm coming back to Clitheroe!

We placed a order at 6:20pm we were still sat waiting for it at 8:20pm after being told it would take an hour, so we rang and told them not to bother I had two kids here hungry and fed up of waiting. Was then told it would be 10/15 minutes and it would be completely free. So the food arrives a further 35 mins later and the driver told us it was 35,10p , we told the driver it was free and he was instant we were only getting a 15% discount and it was not free so I told him to take it back we didn’t want it after being told by the take away owner it was free, driver refused to to take t and then demanded the money and we told him no! He threatened to call the police so I told him to go ahead and offered him my phone, my father then called the takeaway back as we have been customers from the day they opened and know the owner very well . We gave the phone to the driver after telling the owner the driver was trying to make us pay for it. After a few minutes of the driver shouting down the phone , he gave us our phone back and walked off saying nothing to us. Now I love this place but the food was absolutely awful tonight I was not impressed by the quality of the meal (yes it was free )but don’t expect rock hard chips, soggy samosas and under cooked chicken I certainly won’t be requesting a meal again from here on my next visit to clitheroe.

Whilst holidaying in the area we opted for a curry and are pleased to say we made a great choice of takeaway.

This is my go to choice for Indian takeaway in Clitheroe. It's the only establishment which has proved consistently excellent. I've never had a bad curry here in the last 10 years.

It's fact, if you want to dine in, there is not a decent curry within the boundaries of the Ribble Valley. The one on the A59 is testament to that .. it's garbage , but if you want a take out, The Taste Of India...

Decidimos probar este restaurante indio de comida para llevar, y no me decepcionó. Este no es un restaurante, pero está diseñado como un "fish and chips". Se puede ver la cocina y preparación de alimentos detrás del mostrador - todo está a la vista. La comida es de buena calidad y a un precio muy razonable. Una cosa a tener en cuenta es que es un efectivo funcionamiento que sólo mantiene su cabeza supongo. Se puede ver que usar esta sobre una base regular.

Este lugar es el mejor para llevar sistemáticamente indio de la ciudad de lejos! El Rogan Josh es para morirse, con especias frescas y suculento pollo. Entrega gratis en la ciudad es la guinda del pastel.

Tenía una entrega para llevar desde aquí esta noche currt y me gustó mucho. El curry fue el gusto y tenía el derecho de las especias. No tardaron mucho en llegar a ser entregado y el servicio de los botones era genial.

Teníamos una entrega para la familia con resultados mixtos. El restaurante tenía dijo que estaba teniendo dificultades para escuchar en el teléfono, así que, si yo les usar de nuevo, iré y cobrar como la orden había extras que no quería y que faltan que no quieres. El miembro de la familia que había recomendado el llevar le dieron lo que pedimos y estaba encantado, y como él dijo que siempre está, pero no me impresionó más la mía. Mi esposa estaba conforme con lo que comimos, pero ella también, pensamos que ella había tenido mejor. Entrega tardó una hora. No muchos entregar gratis a nuestra zona.

First time we have used taste of India. Wow, it was delicious. I am a chef by trade and have to say we thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of it. Chicken tikka and chicken jalfrezi were perfect, rice was lovely, chips cooked perfect too. In fact Can't recommend this place enough. True to say we are now totally stuffed and we shared it for 3 adults. Free poppadoms with chutney and sauces and a lovely fresh Salad too. 6 onion bajhi in one portion starter. Will definitely be ordering again. Very good value for money

I have had numerous meals from this takeaway, and they have all been freshly cooked and very tasted. The staff are very efficient and friendly and I would recommend Taste of India to anyone!

Best Indian in town. Food good from here. Get the madras not too spicy but really tasty. Delivery driver abit weird but delivery usually comes within 40 minutes so it's good.

We arrived at our camp site and decided to get a takeaway. They offered free delivery so we ordered. Food came in a reasonable time. It was piping hot and we really enjoyed our meal. Best thing no cooking pots to clean

Have used Taste of India for years and its always been good,friendly delivery guys and rarely over the time stated when delivering.However lately I think its very much all tasting the same..ok but nothing great.So we started to use other curry houses(wont put which one)and the difference in the food was very noticableCurry less oily and with more flavour.Still will use taste of india and it is good value but there is better.

i have eat from here many times over the years and every time always enjoyed the food you may have a little wait if your picking it up but worth it i always reccommend it to friends from outside the area and they always say what a good curry that they enjoyed it and best place they have eaten in years etc well worth a visit

Always friendly and polite. You can see the food being prepared and it both smells and tastes amazing. Have really missed this place since we moved out of Clitheroe and found nowhere to beat it in our local area. My favourite is the Dhanchak, my partner loves the Biriyani. Great service, great food and value for money. Don't miss it if you are ever in the area!

This is our local takeaway and the one we use when we want a special treat. The food is always cooked perfectly, they deliver promptly and the staff are friendly and efficient. If we have a takeaway when we are away on holiday it's never as good as the Taste of India.

The food is superb in both taste and portion size, cannot be faulted. The staff are very friendly and personable, they even recognise me on the phone now. If you want a good Indian takeaway in the Clitheroe area this is the place to go.

Delightful Indian take away. Tony is very helpful and advises on gluten free dishes. No problems here from cross contamination. He caters for parties too and we had so much choice for a party of 20 people. They loved it

A good honest take-away with very good tandoori and homemade naan bread. Always busy on a Friday night so you may have to wait. The staff are always friendly

By far the best Indian food I have had delivered or by takeaway. Authentic and fresh. You can tell that these guys take pride in their work
