Wonderful place, great food, clean and friendly. Good price. We always come here when visiting.

This place is always packed. They serve English and Chinese food. I've tasted both and it's delicious. The host and waiters are polite and attentive. This isn't just a restaurant... it's more like an institution.

What a surprise, this place is not what it perceives. Good old English Cafe serving quality food. Little gem in this lovely town.

I ordered a takeaway sandwich from Ice and Spice which cost just under £7 which I thought at the time was a bit expensive, I however assumed that the quality would justify the cost.... Unfortunately I was wrong. The sandwich consisted of two slices of bread which you would get from your local store with low quality fillings. The "side order" consisted of 4 crisps and literally a teaspoon of coleslaw. I don't think I've been this let down since my parents told me about father Christmas. If you are going to charge Ribble Valley prices I would put some effort into what you are offering and at least up the coleslaw to a table spoon. The staff serving were very nice but I won't be seeing them again after that experience.

Really lovely café with a good choice of food at reasonable prices. We ate in the home made lemon merangue was divine and the Knickerbocker Glory a nostalgic blast back to childhood! It is also dog friendly!

Can't fault this cafe. We visited today with my daughter and granddaughter and dog. We were made very welcome including the dog who was given water and treats 😀 The food was delicious, staff friendly and prices reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Always lovely food and lovely staff. Called in today the lady was amazing with my little boy who wasnt in the best mood. She was so kind and patient with him. We will definitely be back

Oh my what a wonderful lunchtime here. The homemade delicious pies - plate meat and the cheese and onion served with fresh veg etc are amazing. Great food made and served by lovely people. Highly recommended, will definitely visit again 😊😊😊😊

A very pleasant experience, friendly staff good service.

Popped in for tea and cake with our dog. Greated warmly and shown to a table. Chose carrot cake and lemon meringue pie. The pie was phenomenal and we will return later in the week for another slice. Cake was tastie and moist, tea was plentiful in the pot with additional hot water provided. Service was efficient and friendly.

Called in by chance and had a lovely home cooked lunch. Friendly quick service with take-away options.

Went on Tuesday to this lovely cafe with my family. It was their 2nd visit & my 1st visit. There was a wait for our food to come but it was well worth the wait. The food was cooked, hot & very tasty. I had sweet & sour chicken with rice, my Dad had curry with half rice & chips, my Mum had the braised steak with veg & mash, my Auntie had an all day breakfast. We all had clean plates. Cheap meals both English & Chinese food. We also had puddings 1 banana split, & 3 lemon meringue pies. So yummy. The staff are lovely & asked if we were happy with our meals. Friendly staff we will definitely be visiting again soon. :)

Came today with my dad and daughter. We had a full English and it was probably the best breakfast ever. I'm really fussy with breakfasts and I could not fault it at all. Quality meat, runny egg and hot beans. Muahrooms hash brown and huge tomato 😋It was delicious and came with a orange juice. My little girl couldn't finish her sausage butty but insisted we take it with us. The lovely waitress kindly wrapped it up for her to take. It's a little gem this place ✨️ Friendly man too, lovely service. Lovely drinks.very clean. Seeyou soon 😀

Stopped for a coffee and cake. Nice & friendly cafe in what was once a butchers shop in the town. Menu had a choice of items all reasonably priced. Only about 8 - 10 tables so not a large cafe. Service was prompt and cake was lovely. Definitely okay for a quick bite/light refreshment.

Delicious! I had the all day breakfast. Lovely locally sourced produce far superior to other breakfasts in the area. My partner had king prawn curry which was amazing! Just had to dip a chip or 2 in 😁. Service was spot on. Lovely lady, lovely smile. All in all a very good experience we will definitely visit again. 5*****

Went for lunch on Sunday not really knowing what to expect. Had Singapore noodles and Singapore rice. So very tasty and well cooked. We eat at many authentic Chinese restaurants and cook our own Chinese food and were so impressed with the food here. Thank you

Good food with a wide selection of dishes, highly reccomend the Singapore fried rice and noodles. Friendly, attentive and attractive staff. Lovely warm atmosphere.

We called in for coffee and toasties which were both lovely. The Cappuccino was nice and hot unlike many places you go to. Toasties were gorgeous with plenty of cheese. We followed up with their home made lemon meringue pie which was beautiful. It was like eating a lemon flavoured cloud! The staff were brilliant and the owner chatted with us in a friendly but professional way. There aren't many places you can get a roast lamb dinner, next to a curry, next to a prawn stir fry for breakfast! We'll definitely be going back.

Every time I meet up with friends I we have lunch here. We all love it ,great surrounding s excellent food and fantastic staff! Angela is the best most hardworking waitress I be ever come across! Yesterday we had an early lunch so it wasn't busy and my friend wanted a beef barmcake it was not on the menu but the chef was able to do it for her! She also wanted chips and it all came with a jug of beef gravy yum! My jacket potato with cilli was perfect, thanks and I managed to stuff myself with a slice of carrot cake! I'll just buy bigger clothes lol! Thanks for another perfect lunch and lovely chat see you soon!!!!!

What a lovely little place. Reminds me of the cafés I used to go in with my mum when I was little. The food was delicious but the service was AMAZING. Really lovely staff very homely and cosy. Definitely come again

Not recommended at all. Friendly staff isn’t enough when your bacon taste like rubber. Cheap beans and sausage. And one tea bag in a tea pot? In England? Don’t know about anything else but I’ve had better English fry ups abroad.

Superb Singapore Fried Rice abd Curry sauce today. Had to fight waitress who wanted to pinch it. Lovely food and lovely waitress. Definitely going back for food and waitress.

Gentlemen that works there was lovely and polite, drinks and desserts great , however the lady who works there very rude and abrupt really needs to brush up on her customer service skills !!!!

We walked into Clitheroe intending to get lunch at Maxwells, it was heaving. We went into Ice and Spice and we were really impressed with the staff who were very friendly. The food was excellent. The atmosphere is lovely. This is our new 'best lunchtime eating place'. We will be back soon. Thank you.

Came to Clitheroe for a holiday from Norfolk and Ice and Spice caters for all your food wishes in the types of food listed on menu and specials board. Friendly warm welcome, wide ranging menu with a selection of coffee and snacks on the one hand and Chinese food on the other. It’s very child friendly. The premises are on a split level, so getting between the two halves inside involves steps, but via going between the levels outside, indoor washroom facilities are accessible for people with limited abilities from both levels. The decor is modern, clean and attractive. Certainly a place to try again!

The ice cream is exceptional- highly recommended. Moreover, the inside space seems nice and relaxed, and very clean. The staff are very friendly and service is prompt. Definitely worth a go!
