The salt and pepper sui mai was brilliant would recommend. Spetial fried rice is absolutely amazing would have for sran again 😋. The owners are very friendly and talkative. My dad goes so much that they know his number and call him by name wen he calls 😅😂

In Liverpool to attend a concert and wanted a great pre-theatre meal. The Art School Restaurant offer an exciting Prix Fixe menu for £55 which looked worth trying, especially as menu options looked very appealing, and decided to go for it.
The meal certainly didn’t disappoint and had an excellent experience at this restaurant. Everything ordered at my table was extremely good.
We were given a delicious velouté as an amuse bouche to start the meal and we went for the cheese soufflé and a venison tartare for starters. For mains we had the guinea fowl and the cod loin. We ended the meal with a “trio” of signature desserts. Everything without exception was delicious and would certainly go back again to try either their larger Tasting (£125) or Excellence (£95) menus.
My only gripe was that, although delicious, my cod loin dish was far too small for a main dish. If I’d hazard a guess, the weight of the cod served was probably around 100g, which really isn’t acceptable as a main.
The service at the restaurant is courteous and professional, however the atmosphere, decor and interiors are a little too bland for my taste. With that said, I’d still go back in a heartbeat for the quality of cooking on offer.
His was the 5th time we had visited the Water St Mowgli and whilst it was enjoyable. I find that each time one of my favourite dishes varies in taste which is disappointing. However I have recommended the restaurant to friends and family.
After waiting over an hour for our simple order of Sunday roast beef and chicken we asked the status of our order.
The follow on question was what did you order?
Thereafter we were told that they could serve the beef order and 30 minutes later the chicken.
We are a couple so this was not what we wanted. Thereafter they offered a free dessert. Seriously after screwing up the order, does anyone want to stay longer in a ridiculous place.
The funny thing was that it wasn’t even busy.
Joke of a place, avoid it
Lovely food and atmosphere.
The mixed kebab was well cooked and full of flavour.
The wife had a burger which she commented on being on of the best she's had.
Service was a little delayed for the mains but the staff were apologetic and offered a free round of drinks which I felt was thoughtful, understandable though as it was very busy.
Definitely would recommend and would return again.
