We love coming every now and then to this place, its absolutely wonderful place with amazing, healthy and very tasty food, especially their chicken is so so yummi

Came in here today loved it was a delightful treat well needed after an afternoon of rain.

I went to collect my Uber Eats order and was only five minutes away from the restaurant. As I was driving home, I tried a chip and realized the food was stone cold. I immediately called the restaurant, and they told me to come back for a replacement. However, as I was explaining my order over the phone, they abruptly hung up on me. When I arrived, there was no apology just my bag taken off me without a word. I was left standing there with no communication, and eventually, they handed me a fresh meal. it was finally hotter (which was the only positive), the food itself was completely bland and lacked any flavor. Overall, the experience was disappointing, both in terms of service and quality. Used to be such a good restaurant won’t be returning

Food was really tasty and reasonably priced. The staff are so lovely and friendly, particularly Miriam our server. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing!

Only half my order was delivered when i rang them they said come and collect it yourself or contact uber for a refund which i find unacceptable hence the review very disappointed and the food even though it was lukewarm it was still delicious the one star is for the bad service not the quality of the food your letting the chefs down you guys need to do better

Food was fabulous and staff were very welcoming. Very popular venue, but they don't take bookings, so you may have ro wait, but definitely worth it. Meal potions are very generous. We wanted Beef roast but they were all out of beef, so obviously a popular choice for Sunday dinner, (we never got there until almost 5pm) We opted for the chicken roast, and it didn't disappoint. Granddaughter had the child's bowl consisting of chicken, chips, broccoli and gravy, and swiftly polished it off....she loved it. Will definitely go earlier next time, so we can try the Beef roast.

We were served by Siobhan, she was lovely she took out ordered fast snd the service was very quick. Would definitely recommend this place

Delicious food and good service

First time in Spitroast and it won't be the last! We were served by Siobhan who gave us great attention. Our order was taken quickly, and the food was delicious, including two kids meals. My boys were given colouring in to entertain them, and Siobhan checked back in with us to make sure all was okay. We'll be back soon to try more of the menu.

Great food and service from SpitRoast Smithdown Road. We tried the Wing Roulette - wow, a few wings were spicy! Also had the halloumi fires, which were delicious. Then had the mega combo or roast chicken, sweet potato fries and corn and Katsu Curry - all, really well cooked and delicious! Our server Miriam was very polite and helpful, greeted us at the door and helped us lots. Prompt service with a smile! Would highly recommend ❤️

We ordered chicken and chips x3 on a Monday at 5pm. Two delivery drivers were turned away because there was no chicken. No chicken in a chicken restaurant is ridiculous. If it was busy on a Monday at the usual time to order an evening meal then this should have been anticipated. We waited for over 2 hours and when it eventually did arrive the unsuitable packaging had fallen apart and food cold/ spoiled. Uber Eats have apologised for their small part in this. Spitroast were emailed some time ago but as yet no response. An apology would have been nice! Please avoid as it was utterly disgraceful service and food.

Food was fantastic as usual -- Lunch Time Menu is great value for the food (£12.50 for veg, carb, and protein of you choice). Chloe was a fantastic server and tended to us and explained the menu really well, putting us at ease.

Just popped in whilst shopping. Lovely atmosphere, nice and warm on a cold day. Food was great and good value I had chicken breast and salt and pepper loaded fries which came with katsu curry. Ordered a side of roasted veg too. The food was delicious, nice and hot and the katsu curry on the fries elevated the dish. Staff were very friendly and a shout out to Sil for great service

Alright, I have HAD IT! A few months ago I would have easily given this place 5 stars but I don’t know what has happened over there… First of all, some great dishes I liked are off the menu, secondly, the consistency cannot be counted on whatsoever. In the span of 6 weeks I have ordered the exact SAME food item 3 times and each time I got a very different dish. It was one of the bowls - once the chicken is shredded, next time I get huge pieces with bones that I should apparently cut up myself. Once I get grains, next time there are none. One time there is a yoghurt dressing, next time there isn’t any. Another time there is a weird puree that overpowers everything. Roasted peppers that are listed as one of the items that should be in the bowl I have yet to see. You get my point… Lastly, considering the huge prices for the side dishes, the portions are getting smaller and smaller - really? If you are charging 7-8 pounds for a side dish, then I’d at least expect a normal portion. I am genuinely hoping this place will get it together because I used to love it.
