The best restaurants in Eccleston and Mawdesley Chorley North West

A really fantastic find, took my (very fussy) mum and 2 young nieces out for lunch and everyone found something they wanted on the menu, and enjoyed their order. I live in Cumbria and had googled ‘tea rooms’ round Chorley and this was one we hadn’t visited before. I will definitely return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you for a lovely lunch 😊

There are 2 or 3 options for food at the Barn, Cedar Farm as well as the main cafe and we have enjoyed all of them. Time and again however we find the choice we make is Kaizen . Since we first tried this delicious cuisine we cannot get enough. Having never tried sushi before we were a little apprehensive but excited to to try it. We needn't have worried however as the mix of balanced flavours and the exquisite and meticulous way it is prepared and presented makes it a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The staff are always friendly and keen to explain the style of food they present. We are never disappointed and can't wait to return and we would highly recommend Kaizen , especially to anyone unsure about trying the unfamiliar I would say just go for it .

Had a really nice cappuccino and bakewell slice here. The premises were welcoming and clean and the staff were friendly and quick.

Was passing. Shop window looked so inviting. Had to check it out. Not disappointed. The meat and potatoe pie. The best. Along with the tiffin.

Greeted by friendly staff, worth the price

Nice pub plenty of drink options and great place to watch sports staff helpful and friendly. They do a variety of different entertainment and seem to have a great base if locals good place to stop for a drink

A good, quirky place to meet up. Coffee sacks, comfy chairs, the noise and smell of freshly roasted and ground coffee. Good value drinks and cakes plus plenty of coffees to choose from

We can't get good pies down south so we always pop into Eccleston for pies whenever we are visiting. They are amazing! Proper pies that you can hold in one hand. The filling is never too hot that it takes the roof of your mouth off, it's always just the right temperature. And such a selection too - the real test is which pies to pick. We tend to bulk buy so we can freeze some at home. The staff are proper friendly, nothing phases them. This is proper northern grub as it should be. Pie makers of the south take note - keep your puff pastry and venison filling. This is how a pie should be.

Nice dog friendly pub with great food. You know the food is good when the salmon fishcake has actual chunks of salmon, not that disappointing mush I often get. I also enjoyed the surf and turf, ribeye was cooked just right. Large selection of specials. I'd say it's 4.5 stars food, as the fried fish did have more of an oily feel than what you can find in the best places, but everything nice apart from that. I am not rounding up to 5 stars just because I had to wait longer than average for the food, on a quiet evening.

It’s our local Chinese and we have been a lot over the past 3 years and always really enjoyed it! Foods always good and ready super fast

We live locally but had never ventured into Cedar Farm, so we had no idea there are so many great businesses located inside - Moreish being one of them!! We won a £20 voucher from a Christmas giveaway, so we decided we'd give it a go and so glad we did. My partner ordered their version of a full english, and everything was cooked to perfection - the pork chop was especially amazing. I had the vanilla french toast, which is so soft and full of flavour - the spiced apples were such a nice touch!! The guy who served us on the till seemed a little bit standoffish, but you can't win them all, I suppose
