They always make great sandwiches

Great pies and barm cakes the shops clean and well presented we use them regularly

I used to be a regular when I worked in the village in the 90s, was passing one lunchtime and wanted to bring back some memories. Just as delicious as I remember, fresh and tasty.

Has to be one of the best bakery in the area! Bread is so good we order it for family to take home! Rye is one of the best I've ever had even in Bavaria!

Staff are lovely always very quick to help lovely food just a shame the owner is arrogant and very aggressive towards his staff and customers.

I buy the pies made by this bakery from Haydock Farm in Coppull.. and then share with my parents in Bolton at the weekend for dessert when we have dinner together. Absolutely stunning pies.. thick made with lovely pastry and very generous filling. I disagree with a previous review regards they need to be 'more seasoning'... These are traditional pies made in in a traditional way and they're beautiful. They're not meant to be in competition with the deserts offered at a Monaco hotel!!

Very good village bakery that as a good selection of pies, cakes and breads. I particularly like the rye bread and the oats and honey loaf. Corn beef pasties are also excellent

Absolutely stunning little bakery. The food is wonderful and the staff offer a really friendly customer service. It's my favorite shop when I'm in this region of the country. Don't miss it.

Really good bakery in Eccleston village. Great selection of pies and pasties. Nice selection of cakes and homemade bread. Prices much lower than chain bakeries

Lovely little bakery however the meat and potato pies are so bland mostly potato and very little meat at all also no seasoning. Very disappointed! Although I have to say the cherry bakewell cake was delicious

Outstanding food and easily the best loaves and barm in Lancashire!!

The quality of food is quite good but unfortunately they need to up the food hygiene! Twice I have been and ordered food only to be disappointed with the hygiene, I won't be going back now what a shame! You can't lick your fingers to seperate paper bags then prepare a sandwich. You also can't be cleaning with disinfectant spray and a (non disposable cloth in your hands) then go straight to pick up food withiut washing your hands. Think about the transfer of dirt and also cleaning chemicals to my food!!! This is the 21st century and you guys are stuck in the old days, move with the times as it could be a good place to eat otherwise!

Great place for home made bread and cakes . Best i ever had

Have lived in the next village for 35 years, found the Cottage Loaf in our second week and still enjoy calling for some of their Home Baked Treats. My particular favourite is their Fruit Scones. So delicious with clotted cream when I have visited family in Devon and brought some home with me!

I’ve lived in the village for a year and from the first day this has been my regular place for lunches and treats, real food made from real wholesome ingredients, lovely friendly staff and prices are brilliant! Wanted to upload of photo of my lunch but I ate it all!

I have regularly sent my apprentice to this establishment for sandwiches and breakfasts. Some of the staff (Julie) are quite rude to him. He takes them lovely notes and poems when he goes in and even bought them Chocolate willy's for Valentines. Julie seems to think this behaviour is unacceptable when all we are trying to do is improve the Apprentices inter personal skills. We will try Galloways next and then move on to the filling station. We will not rest in our quest to find a ladfy that will enagage with Ryan.

You could definitely pass pies and cakes for your own home made, just like Grandma made, love the custard tarts and bacon rolls.

Great bakery, very friendly staff, excellent sandwiches and pastries, what more could you ask for! Also do a selection of hot fillings and fantastic home made cakes, its very nice inside and out has a bit of a good old fashioned feel to it, would recommend to anyone!
