Best value for a tasty breakfast

Called in to have a bite to eat . One lady who works there was smoking outside and entered to see two other staff smoking ecigs sat at the tables ! Ordered mine and my sons food to see that no hands were washed and a girl with braces got up from smoking an electric cigaret on the sofa in the window to pack our lunch and give us our order . The smell of cigarettes at greeting was a total put off never mind the disgraceful illusion of staff puffing away at the tables ! The sausage and egg was edible but could do with better quality sausage . All in all I wouldn’t go for a second round

Ordered a BLT and after half an hour of waiting was told there was no lettuce so got given the worst bacon on toast I've ever seen... Asked me what sauce then just decided not to put any on... Pathetic service and worse food

I have used this cafe several times and was happy with the service. However, today I saw a member of staff drop a spatula on the floor, pick it up and continue to use it. This is not good.

I had the chicken tikka barm and my partner had scrambled egg on toast and it was excellent!. They have a really good menu and and reasonably priced, very clean cafe, loads of seating and lovely staff. Highly recommended!, il definitely be going back ❤️👌

Working down here from scotland and i was passing through. Just popped in for brekkie and it was packed with scaffolders. Service was quick and food was perfectly cooked. Girls were both friendly and efficient while rushed off their feet. Saved on maps, will defo return!

Good food, but sorry let down by the cheap sausages

The front of house woman was abrupt and had a face on like I had just robbed her house. I asked her for an omelette which she couldn't be bothered to make, made some excuse up about an omelette machine taking 30 mins to heat. What's wrong with a pan. The mrs wanted a runny egg which came out like an omelette, thelady said sorry that the egg had been popped and flung the plate infront of her. The sausages were also poor quality.

Great breakfast barms, average prices, standard looking café with lovely staff.

Breakfast was brought out half ready, Sophie the cook was the only one who wanted to keep the breakfast in the kitchen till it was ready and was the only one who cared about the display and quality of food. Also staff who are Ill or unwell should not attend work; a member of staff was constantly sniffing and snorting walking past tables which was very unappetising.

I can't comment on the food, as I only popped in for a coffee. But the cafe itself was spotlessly clean, they have the main eating area, plus some armchairs and tables for snacking. The staff are typical of Adlington area, super friendly and welcoming. I personally like this old school type of cafe, and will go again.

Lovely prices. Food was good. Clean 5star. People were lovely. Was on way to Costa and stopped there instead as usually corner cafe shops are better and cheaper. And so it was. £18 for 3 cooked meals. Well worth it. Place to park. By petrol station

Not been here for number of years due to covid so as it was our wedding anniversary we made an appointment, unfortunately it was not as good as from previous visits food quality not up to par

Called in for a quick drink, staff are super friendly and prices are very reasonable. Had a good coffee and some toast for under 3 pounds.

Good food and a great atmosphere!

09/10/21 1st & last time at this cafe, me and my wife called in to get some food, the woman not to be called a lady has the personally of a house brick, she was awful with my self and my wife, I’ve never being treated to bad , unfortunately I’ve put 1 star as I can do a review with no star and I really reluctantly put 1star, msg to the woman, treat ur paying customers with respect , AWFUL

What a fabulous find. Had a full english and a poached eggs on toast on saturday morning. Absolutely spot on. Were so impressed with the level of service and quality of food that we will certainly be regulars from now on. Fantastic

Called in today for dinner with a work mate. Workmen stood around the counter chatting. No face coverings and un challanged by the staff. Surely if the Cafe wants to continue to operate there needs to be a change in attitude towards your customers safety. Won't be back.

Had chips, sausage and egg which was amazing! Girlfriend had cheese pasta salad which tasted lovely but had tomatoes put in when not asked for them and pasta was made hot with the salad which tasted horrible. Otherwise great food!

I go regularly with my sister for a breakfast and a lovely mug of tea. The staff are amazingly good and hard working. The place is very clean, open and tidy. Parking is ok too either opposite or on the same side. I always order the same small breakfast and a cup of tea and it is consistently brilliant. They can tweak it if you are maybe not keen on a certain item. Never any problem. A fine and friendly cafe for either breakfast or dinner. Well done. See you next week again😀

The Corner House Cafe in Adlington is a very friendly place . When we have finished our Health walk we are always welcomed in for our coffees and a chat before going on our way home.

We have been meaning to call into this Cafe for the last couple of years and finally got around to it last week, we ordered 1 medium and 1 large breakfast with toast and tea.As I don't like beans or tomatoes I asked for a hash brown instead, really sorry I did as it was soaked in grease and inedible my hubby left his too.The sausage were OK average quality and the bacon the same.Sadly we won't be going back.We also found (and I hate saying this but it needs to be said) that somebody in the cafe had a very booming voice which we found quite uncomfortable.

we visited twice dueing our stay in standish we had a medium breckfast hubby had large and my daughter had tuna pasta everything was freshly made to order and great quality food staff were very friendly the protions sizes are great,the cafe is lovely and clean and there is a toilet hubby had coffe we had tea great cuppa we will defnatly be going back next year we would highly recomend to anyone who enjoys proper cooked food x

I come in most mornings as the bacon is of good quality and they cook perfect poach eggs. Nowhere else in the area does a proper large breakfast (no gaps on your plate) with a brew and toast for 6 quid.

We visited Corner House Cafe for a full English breakfast as as treat. Both the food and service was superb. It really is a great cafe and seems very popular by both locals and people passing through the village. Well done ladies, your doing a great job!
