Galloways Bakers in Chorley

I worked at Galloways, and it was one of the worst job experiences I’ve had. The manager was awful—completely unprofessional, rude, and had no respect for the staff. Instead of creating a supportive work environment, they made things unnecessarily stressful. Wouldn’t recommend working here unless you enjoy being overworked and underappreciated.

We can't get good pies down south so we always pop into Eccleston for pies whenever we are visiting. They are amazing! Proper pies that you can hold in one hand. The filling is never too hot that it takes the roof of your mouth off, it's always just the right temperature. And such a selection too - the real test is which pies to pick. We tend to bulk buy so we can freeze some at home. The staff are proper friendly, nothing phases them. This is proper northern grub as it should be. Pie makers of the south take note - keep your puff pastry and venison filling. This is how a pie should be.

Always loved Galloways but I am now gluten free would be great if Galloways could do a little something gluten free as there are so many people now gluten free come on Galloways move into the 21st century 😉

I’ve never had one before but decided on a pie barm en route to Chester on New Year’s Eve, the pies from here are very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it until I got heartburn sometime after, Standard practice for me following a pastry treat!

Live local to here, nice shop but problem is that pies are always Luke warm, mentioned it to staff but just get a blank look and they say thats how they always are !!!!

Welcome addition to this area, great selection all the usual pies and cakes but do bacon and sausage for the rolls and baguettes, peas and gravy for the pies. Great opening hours also.

Very happy smiling staff . All food spot on 👍 Especially the jumbo sausage rolls and the teasers !!!

An excellent local baker which sells delicious cakes and pies. The service is very efficient and friendly .

Great choice of cakes and sandwiches. Fresh and tasty. Convenient location, just a few minutes walk from the bed and breakfast.

Great tasting pies , with gravy and peas in a tray ... you can't beat it for taste and filling you up

I call here when I come to visit my daughter and my favourite purchase is the mini meat pies a real treat , all the pastries look good in this shop as do the cakes .

Got home to find my cheese & onion pastie had a hair in the middle! Ewwww. Went in a day or two later and the lady said I should have gone back with it (wasn't going to hang on to it!) Was told they aren't made on site. Not very apologetic & no offer of a refund.

Beautiful food and amazing choice. Served nicely and good prices. Can't fault.. Always enjoy coming here
