Went to fry-days this evening for the first time, had traditional chippy food rather than Chinese so chips, fish cakes, etc. and it was absolutely delicious. The chip portions are huge (we got two large chips to share between 3 and ended up only needing the one portion), and the lady running the chippy was very apologetic for food taking time to cook (please don’t ever apologise for the food being cooked fresh). Lovely business and lovely food. Will definitely be back again.

This is a great little breakfast place. Super friendly and good quality food. There is a nice selection of breakfast menu items which offer a range but also is selective enough to ensure high quality cuisine. Really friendly front of house staff with a personal touch (lots of greetings to regular customers and remembering information about their last visit etc) which really made you feel valued. It's only a small place (although does have more space upstairs) so worth booking especially if going at peak times/weekends. Highly recommend

This place was once a nice little chippy. Asked for 3 lightly battered fish they came covered in batter that was still raw on the inside, the peice of fish was tiny inside the mound of batter. Chips looked liked they have been sat in the warmer for a long time. The scampi was only luke warm in the middle. Everything absolutely layered in grease. Went straight in the bin wasn't even edible. I worked as a fish frier when younger and can't believe how poor the food is. Won't be returning.

Only thing I would like to see is better opening times as I’d like to take the kids straight from school at 4pm and it’s always closed! Otherwise, this place does amazing food and it’s great to be able to take the kids for a nice healthy meal. Why do some restaurants think that kids want nuggets and burgers? My kids love this place and it suits them both as one eats meat and the other is a vegetarian.

Been here before quite a few times,always good.decided to sit in I had buttered pie my other half had meat and potato. and 2 coffees. Spotlessly clean and not expensive great!

Went for lunch with a friend who had been before. To be honest I was a little disappointed. The portions were quite small and the fries a little over cooked. I had pulled pork and found it somewhat dry. However, my friend enjoyed her food which just goes to show you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Shh. This place is great. Food is lovely. Family friendly. Just don’t tell anyone. It’ll be our secret

Excellent good for value, nicely cooked Italian food. First time visit for my son’s 18th birthday. Service was excellent too.

the food was amazing, aswell as the customer service. We had a very kind lad called johnny who was very kind and wel mannered. I ordered egg fried rice and salt and pepper chicken which was amazing

Amazing food here, so glad we stumble upon it while looking to satisfy our cravings. Make sure to try their gravy and homemade tartar sauce!

came for lunch with 5 friends, Aaron on the bar was very attentive and knowledgeable food arrived in good time even with the restaurant area busy. i had gammon which was great my friend had nachos and he complimented the portion size, drinks not expensive overall great value for money food and service very good

Just called in after a walk with the dogs because we knew they had a new chef who had moved from another well known pub. The two ladies behind the bar were lovely, very welcoming! We chose two posh fish finger butties or battered fish goujons on ciabatta and fries, it didn’t disappoint!! The ciabatta tasted like it was homemade, the softest ciabatta I’ve ever had! Well worth a visit and we will defo be back soon!! About time this place took off because it’s a lovely location near the canal. ❤️
