Scrumpy Pig in Chorley

Went for lunch with a friend who had been before. To be honest I was a little disappointed. The portions were quite small and the fries a little over cooked. I had pulled pork and found it somewhat dry. However, my friend enjoyed her food which just goes to show you can't please all of the people all of the time.

This was our first visit to Scrumpy Pig, a small eatery within Botany Bay. I had the burger and my wife had the hot dog. Both very nice. Staff very nice too. You can buy burgers, sausages, bacon, black pudding and plenty more to cook at home. Will definitely return.

I cannot recommend this super little spot highly enough! Delicious, fresh burgers, sausages and wraps, freshly prepared and beautifully presented....what's not to love? I had the pulled pork on a brioche roll and it was sensational. Staff are so welcoming and attentive. FANTASTIC!

Visited this little eating place whilst browsing in Botany Bay. Very tasty freshly made wrap served with fries. Very helpful and friendly staff. Limited menu but high quality food. Recommended!

I have used the butchers side of this for ages now but last week I actually sat in and ate. It was delicious. Really well priced. Everywhere was lovey and clean. They have colouring books and crayons for little ones. We ordered a children's sausage a chips and an adults hot dog and chips. Will definitely visit again.

Visit here to buy sausages from the butchers counter and sometimes have food. Never tried the hot dogs before but very tasty 😊

We saw the Facebook picture for a Chinese New Year special. We couldn't resist! Slimming world can be paused for lunch. Shooting over I was greeted by the owner Richard, who was really chatty and very professional. The shop has plenty of seating, a big display cabinet of meats to buy - the sausages look Devine! It was a takeaway lunch - boxed up nicely with great eco cutlery and napkins too. The duck wraps were delicious and the fries?! .... out of this world! There's a great sized menu, of which I can't wait to try more! They also do outside catering and have a massive hog roast spit - as seen on the TV screens. Will definitely recommend and visit again soon!

Visited Botany Bay a couple of days ago and had to stop and try the food here. The smell of the food cooking was enough to stop us in our tracks! Had the stack burger, perfectly cooked burger, topped with bacon, pulled pork and cheese, accompanied by just the right amount of fries. The meat is from their counter so you can see how fresh it is as it's prepared in the open kitchen area, and there's an opportunity to buy the produce and try to recreate at home! I'll definitely visit again, the hot dogs are next on the list to try!

I visited Scrummy Pig inside Botany Bay yesterday and ordered a cheeseburger off the menu which stated it just came with fries however when i got it the burger was dripping in bbq sauce which i am allergic to. So i asked the staff to change it for me which they did but the lady on service started complaining to the other member of staff about me in a loud voice saying i should of said before she made it - If something is not stated in the menu you dont think to say you dont want it!! She then brought my burger back and it was completely raw apart from the outer shell and i didnt feel as if i could say anything so i just left. I will not be going back.

Always love the look of this place so decided to go for lunch! Absolutely amazing!!! The staff are so friendly! And the food was gorgeous! I had a burger with pulled pork, bacon and cheese on with chips for about £6.50 absolute bargain for the quality! Definitely will be recommending to all my friends and family! 😀

Having travelled and tasted different takes on pulled pork. This hits the spot ! The way it should be! The chicken was even more impressive and the experience as a whole was refreshing and a smart take on new technology whilst giving the original flavour to boot! Great !
