Ate here while staying as a guest 2 nights. Food was good and the service was nice as well. Had room service one night and it was also good. Hope we get to stay here again.
Ordered afternoon tea for 2 adults 2 children via email. Was asked in advance a preferred time of delivery. We opted for 12 noon due to having two little ones to feed, but was told they couldn’t deliver until 1.30 so I’m not sure why they asked for a time if they couldn’t deliver for a specific time in the first place. 1.45 came my husband called to find out where it was in which the lady didn’t seem to know anything about our order. Was told it would be here soon. Fast forward 2 more hours and 2 further calls to them. It finally arrived. I ended up making separate sandwiches for my children because of this 2 hour delay. When It finally arrived I was pleased with the quality of the food and it was nice. Would I order again from Mollys tea rooms! Absolutely not! I’d rather give my money to the many other tea rooms in the Chester area which offer the quality AND prompt service.
Absolutely fabulous, had the chips with salsa and cheese sauce etc and they were so filling and tasty. I don't live nearby to Ellesmere Port at all but when I do go once in a while, I make sure to visit this stand for food vs anywhere else because it's such good quality and value!

I went in for a drink and a chillout after doing some shopping there was a guy working with 2 young ladies and he had a face on him like a smacked ar*e, very arrogant and I tell you what! If I was the manager there I’d be doing everything to try and get him out. I was there for roughly an hour, the 2 girls (didn’t catch names) were working their socks off whilst he was moping round in what it looked like - a sulk, he kept disappearing into what I’d say ‘the staff area’ he’d come out of it when it was quiet for about 5 minutes then go back in for another 20 minutes. Throughout the time I spent there it got quite busy at times and he still did absolutely nothing. As a customer it felt like he had a negative effect as he was in such a mood. This isn’t the first time I’ve been and he’s been there doing absolutely nothing, being arrogant and leaving everyone else to do the work and it got quite concerning. Other than that my stay was amazing!
A small cafe situated in Tesco at Helsby.
A lovely bright cafe with a nice big window.
Tables were clean but due to the style of the chairs we were sitting in there were alot of crumbs around the edge.
Friendly staff and efficient service.
They do have a limited food menu compared to other Tesco's but a very good hot drinks menu.
Chester market is fabulous. It's got a nice vibe about it and the bar is fairly central to it all. It looks great and theyve a huge choice of spirits.
I had Prosecco and they put a raspberry in which was nice.
The chap behind the bar was lovely, there was a young woman behind the bar who wasn't so friendly hence the 4 stars. She wasn't rude, but she just wasn't friendly
Came to the market for the first time today, a few eateries but we chose Laura’s, lovely bacon and egg toastie x 2, one tea and one coffee, just over £8 which is excellent value, will eat again when next at the market.
Food great
However cash only and not warned of this when booking or on arrival. After we'd scrabbled around to see what we had (not enough)they pointed about a cash machine across the road!
Also confusion in that there are two two different TripAdvisor entries the them , this one and one which also includes comments which must have come for their predecessor (Sizzlin Spice)
We recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. My partner ordered the sweet and spicy burger, which was yummy – full of flavour and cooked very well. The service from the waitresses was friendly and attentive at the beginning.
I ordered the crispy beef salad, which unfortunately was quite disappointing. It seemed to be mostly batter with very little actual beef, and it was dry and lacking in flavour. After our mains were served, no one came to check in on us, which was a bit surprising given the initial attentiveness.
At the end of the meal, I raised my concerns with one of the waitresses. A person who appeared to be the manager came over and responded with, “You do know that it isn’t batter?” – which felt unnecessarily dismissive. She then asked if we wanted the dish removed from the bill. We told her it was entirely at her discretion. Interestingly, after our conversation, she chose not to remove it.
While the burger and the service at the start were positives, the quality of the salad and how the feedback was handled left us with a less-than-satisfying impression overall.
I came here for an early evening meal, the place was quiet. It's nice to see the chef at work, from your table. There's a counter bell for when a order is ready; I suppose this can get a bit of annoying when it's packed.
I decided to go for an 8oz steak, with rocket salad & frites; the peppercorn sauce was extra. I had it well done, it was just right; although there weren't many frites. So I decided to have a desert; a twist on the apple pie them, with an apple pie pancake. This came with icecream on top, and some kind of sweet sauce.
Have been here many many times. Probably 3 times per month during the summer. Won't go back. Ordered chicken thigh carsar salad. Chicken thighs instead of breasts. Not the portion that usually comes. Bland, uninteresting. Mainly limp lettuce and bit of dressing. Anchovies tasted stale. Chicken thighs looked like bacon and tasted unpleasant. Tool the dish to the counter to ask was this bacon or chicken. Reply came back. They are Chicken thighs! No offer to change anything.. overall Honestly they were stringy and there was defo no parmesan cheese. Croutons were just bits of stale bread that had gone soft overall a very disappointing experience. My friend had chicken burger, which is what she usually has. She didn't eat most if it and agreed thar the food was not up to the usual standard. It's a shame as it's really handy for the bus stand but unfortunately I won't be giving them a other chance.
