2024’s New Year’s Resolution was to visit all 246 Hungry Horse fine dining establishments. Having meticulously researched them all I decided to leave The White Barn in Cuddington until the very end. Having travelled the length and breadth of the nation in my trusty Renault Zoe, drooling at the many tales of wonderment, all delivered with exquisite panache by the fair hand of Michelle, I am delighted to report that gastronomic perfection was achieved in this, the most incredible of settings. Such absurd heights of insurmountable excellence of service can never ever be reached by anyone, anywhere. The Cluck’n’Chesse Sharer was utterly divine. The Bangin’Katsu Banquet a culinary revelation. The Horseshoe Doughnut was the greatest horseshoe shaped food ever conceived and delivered. Unless Michelle is cloned and rolled out nationwide, I'd ignore the other 245 Hungry Horses and make this your only destination in 2025 for all your equine themed fodder.

Dont normally write reviews but as we always came here (loved it) but havent for over a year, i thought this deserved a review. Bangin katsu banquet, well this is no banquet, especially for an adult. 5 kids chicken nuggets, 5 CHIC wings... certainly not chicken by the size of them, about the aize of my little finger, rice... very light flavour but tasteless once mixed with the water content in the peppers and onions and fries are fries. Oh and this is supposed to be salt and pepper, they sprinkle a bit of S&P seasoning over it which was also rubbish. For £13.69 I think it was, is shocking!! Wife always gets chicken new yorker and she said it was rubbish compared to what she used to get served. Teenagers chicken skewer tasted weird, she didn't eat a full one of the 2 she was given and the kids sausage looked like it had been sat waiting to be served for a few hours. Also used to have cutlery brought to you in a bucket, asked if you want condiments and colours and paper also given for children but this had to be acquired by yourself. Wrong deserts brought out, told waiter and he went away and came back with a picture of what was on the order as if to say this IS what you ordered!! I think i know that my daughter doesn't like apple crumble so was definitely not ordered. The girl behind the bar did say she put it through wrong but the cheek of the waiter!! Seriously. Anyway, will have a hard think of actually going back. Honestly shocked by the place considering it was our go to restaurant for years and just paid over £52 for 4 meals that were rubbish.

We came in for lunch the staff are always really friendly and the food is always nice. Have tried lots of different meals and couldn't fault any of them. Always find the food comes out quickly.

Honestly this place is now in desperate need of a good refurb. The place is tired and grubby and the food was not brilliant! Spend some money on the place!

Breakfast with Santa was brilliant. Activity packs and crackers for the children. 13 breakfasts all correct, with excellent service. Santa was fantastic with the children, did not rush and listened to them. Another gift. Food was excellent and all enjoyed it Good atmosphere Extremely well organised Good value Would definitely recommend.

The staff were very helpful in finding us a table . Quite a quick time to order The food didn't take long to arrive The portion of chips was 14 the staff got me some more and I with I hadn't the new ones were hot unlike the ones in the plate but they where so hard it was difficult to use a fork to stab them. The onion rings where the opposite they had not been cooked or had been a long time ago they where soft stogie and felt wet in the mouth both the ones that came with the burgers but also the extra ones I ordered. My burger was good as always both the chicken and the beef my son's was ok the chicken was good but he ordered the Koran but got a sweet BBQ sauce not a spicy one his chips were also cold and too hard .

Came for my sons 11th birthday today, staff were amazing, especially Luke who checked on us several times to see how everything was and if we needed anything, couldn't do enough for us. lovely, calm, friendly atmosphere which is great for my son who has ASD, even when really busy, we came at 7pm. Food was outstanding, can't recommend the beef roast enough, so tender and soft, not to mention the lovely roasties and gorgeous mash. Amazing value, 3 adult beef roast meals with drinks and 2 kids meals with drinks, including 2 large slushies, 2 adult puddings and 2 kids puddings £55, can't argue with that kind of price. Despite being very busy food came out quickly, hot and right. Highly recommend going for a visit.

We've only been here once about 4 years ago and really enjoyed it. However tonight's food experience was awful. My husband had a quadzilla burger and I a full monty mixed grill. Our server pointed out that the burgers were bogof so we ordered a take out for our son when we got home. This was happily obliged and provided in a takeaway carton. I had to send my steak back as it was well over cooked. This was replaced without question and quickly but when the next one arrived it was cold but black on the outside. It smelt a bit strange as well which, going off the rest of the meat on my plate i would say is down to the grill not being cleaned properly. Dry chicken and gammon, sausages OK but cheap and no flavour. Husbands chicken burger was OK, but the beef burger tasted greasy and cheap. They were advertising for a new chef which could have something to do with it... The staff were pretty pleasant with a guy with a loud voice serving us. He was really nice and helpful and very welcoming. Another lady michelle returned my steak to me and gave a genuine apology...although the other lady was clearly upset when being asked by her colleagues to help out (in a really kind way) responding and saying "I didn't know you'd got a promotion" the guy responded and said "I wasn't telling, I was asking" (he asked her really politely) she then turned to us while we were eating and said "I didn't know he'd been promoted, I didn't realise hes my boss" with this as an exception, the staff clearly work hard and are in the main friendly and helpful. Hence why I have given 3 stars for staff, otherwise it would have been a full 1 star review based on the food which was rotten.

We’ve gradually become regulars most Fridays for food. Service is always excellent, Michelle was great on this visit. Food is normally great, had to send back some rice as it was under cooked but it was replaced really quickly and I think they added extra. We will be back, it’s nice to have a fairly local, reasonably priced food and drink with a nice, chilled atmosphere

Although the Venue was So Cold due to heating breakdown, had a Great Breakfast, points to note, 3rd breakfast in a month, food very tepid, Cold, Microwave 30 secs before serving would be a plus. Plus, Staff very good 👍

We were severed by a lovely lady named Michelle. She was lovely and even went to extra lengths for us. Would highly recommend, food was lovely. Was between £10-£20 per person, that was including drinks, main meal and the desserts.

Great service. The staff are lovely. Really helpful. Steak was a bit over done on the steak sizzler, because it continues cooking on the hot plate, Michelle took it back to the kitchen and got me a fresh one cooked perfectly. I would recommend getting it done less than you usually would. Lady behind the bar was really helpful too. Didn't get her name, but she was lovely and really helpful. Will be back again!

I've been here numerous times and always had decent food. But however today I had the burger sizzler combo. Everything was good, but the burger tasted off, like proper off. Luckily, it comes with a steak and some chicken wings or i would have left hungry.

Came here for an early lunch with my wife, we used the bogof burger deal so value for money was unbeatable! Despite being cheap the burgers and sides were delicious well cooked and put the other hungry horse restaurant in the area to shame. Dr pepper on tap is banging too! We were served by Luke who was brilliant, attentive and very positive. Just what you want in a waiter & a credit to the business. 2024 update just as good! Great service from Michelle and Leah!

Great pub. I popped in on my own with five kids and there was something for everyone, place to play and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Jamie Lee looked after us really well. Will come again. Adding a review from another visit for Sunday lunch I’m still happy! Michelle was a star.
