Called in for an early lunch today, I had chicken sizzler ! Absolutely spot on meal well presented by chefs Robbie and Ray .This is a very popular and busy pub. I eat here now and then, and the food is always delicious..compliments to staff always friendly and helpful, always welcoming.

We have been here on a few occasions. This time we were slightly disappointed. We all ordered the Sunday lunch ( had to wait a while ) The potato was very dry & just a spoonful of veg non of us enjoyed our meal it was busy but feel the quality of the food has dropped. Went to get a glass of wine served with lipstick on the glass after three attempts finally got a clean glass .Then had to wait 30 minutes for our desert .

Waited to be served at the bar and 2 staff went behind bar to get drinks and didn't even acknowledge us I had to ask if someone was serving. Customer service was rubbish.

Nice place to meet up with family/friends. Generally clean and tidy. The app could do with some updates to give options to remove items (e.g. Mayo/salad cream etc)

Sadly, our ratings have gone down since our previous visits, due to a drop in the quality of some dishes, but mostly because of the wait to get our meals! There were 6 of us dining, celebrating our daughter's GCSE results, having reserved for 7pm and we ordered on the app at 7.24pm. After 55 minutes wait, my husband (a Type 1 diabetic) was suffering from low blood sugar and having a hypo. As soon as we realised, we mentioned this to a member of staff, who was very good and brought his meal out in a matter of minutes. However, it was another 30 minutes after that - a 1h 25m wait from ordering - for the other 5 mains to be brought out, by which time, my husband had (thankfully) finished and his bloods had risen to normal levels. Now I know it was a busy evening, but there is NO excuse for a wait of that length, PLUS at no point (other than when we mentioned my husband's medical issues) were we advised that there was a wait for food, especially how long that wait was likely to be! I really wished we had gone somewhere else, because the experience was a massive disappointment and £90 we could have happily spent elsewhere.

Unfortunately not for us. We ordered waffle eggs benedict and got a load of mush. 1st we asked for poached egg " sorry can't do poached egg " then when it turned up it looked horrendous, nothing like the photo on the menu, the waffles were dessert waffles not potato 1s, the eggs where not cooked and we had 1 big slice of ham plonked on top instead of 3 slices of ham individually placed on the waffles as the photo showed, the hollandaise sauce was all split and tasted of pure vinegar, sorry but no way we where going to eat this pile of mess, asked for a full refund and left. Was disappointed to say the least as members of our family who we where staying with at a local caravan park said the evening meals where great. Sorry but not for us. In response to the owner , I wished I'd have taken a photo of what was served up to my wife and I, ok the photos are for illustration purposes only, still doesn't excuse the fact that the eggs where not cooked and snotty, the sauce was all split , and a big lump of ham placed on top. Believe me if you would of seen it you would of wanted a refund .

Well what can we say about the breakfasts in particular. We are now hooked and call for breakfast every time we are up at our Caravan. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.The food was very tasty and great value. Only 1 downside I will be putting more weight on as cannot resist having toast and jam after . We leave like 2 stuffed piggies very satisfied.

Booked for five adults on a busy Sunday. Table was in a good position. From ordering off the main menu to delivery the food came very quickly. Four of the meals were very good. The 8oz steak was very gristly and impossible to chew. Would select something else next time. The puddings were also very good. Service was excellent and the staff very polite and attentive. Would come again.

Our local, we go here for breakfast and dinner, never fails to do the job so you know your not wasting your money, menu just been upgraded too. Shannon and the rest of the staff always friendly and attentive!

We came here for my nans birthday. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. Staff were busy but still tried their best to accommodate us. Bought out the birthday cake with a smile. Food was quick to arrive. Standard pub grub.

Great pub. I popped in on my own with five kids and there was something for everyone, place to play and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Jamie Lee looked after us really well. Will come again again.

Great pub, good atmosphere and usually something on in the evenings. Food is spot on and very reasonable, especially if you use the offers which rotate daily. All the staff are extremely friendly and on the ball. My only gripe is that the restaurant side very much takes priority over the bar side so you can be waiting to get served every now and then.

Lovely family pub. Food arrives quickly and warm as expected. Great seating area and kids play park out rear. One slight downside is this pub does not have it's own car park and you have to park over the road and cross a busy cross road. As with all HH pubs, food is great value but the drinks not so

at 3 today we ordered a meal ordered Sunday roast As the option I asked for wasn’t on the Sunday my partner ordered a mix grill that had came with an egg and pine apple on it told her he has alligies to eggs and pine apple so It went back one came out with another 10 minutes after not happy with the service today very poor from Lady Sharon

Popped in to take advantage of the Sunday roast and drink for £10 so I asked for dark fruits and they poured them without saying that they're not included in the offer so ended up spending over £30 and they wouldn't accept the blue light card. The food was absolutely disgusting and it said "plenty of gravy" aswell. Instant mash, the stuffing was like chewing on half dried pva glue, the turkey was the driest I've ever had in my life and you also have to pay for extras like the Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets etc. Never again. If it was just a drink then it would of been fine but not the food aswel. I've enjoyed an Asda microwave dinner more than that tbh

We just had a lovely meal for my Grandad’s 70th. The team were all welcoming and the food was excellent. Michelle was our main server and she ensured that we were all enjoying our meals and promptly cleared the table after we finished. Thank you Michelle for ensuring my Grandad’s birthday meal was a good one🙌🏻

Food was cold was not expecting chicken nuggets with my meal It was chicken strips the last few times I have had this meal I was told they had run out when I got my meal then I was told they don’t do it anymore with strips it’s chicken bites (nuggets) I was given extra chicken wings for a replacement they were over cooked

Having to wait over an hour for food , not one staff member came over to explain anything concerning times waiting for food. Twice we was fobbed off no apologies no nothing. Won't be returning anytime soon.!!!!

Nice pub in a good area. Staff were very polite and the food service was quick! Huge back garden with plenty of seating and a little play area for the kids. Big screen outside that is under cover so would be able to see in the sun. Will be returning again
