The best restaurants in Handbridge Park Cheshire West and Chester North West

Laura's effervescent charisma has been a huge loss to Handbridge since Meltdown's closure, but will no doubt be a giant gain to whatever comes next for the (former) Toastie Queen. I say former, as there's one final chance to taste her magic creations before the apron is hung up for good at fellow Chester indie scene star That Beer Place on Foregate St tomorrow, which I wouldn't miss for all the cheese in Cheshire...

I simply love this shop , when you enter it you see on one side and on the other fresh vegetables and fruits with a multitude of colors and flavours. I like that you can buy and enjoy natural juices made fresh only from fruits and vegetables without dyes and without preservatives. You can buy different types of tins ,jars ,snacks or even other items different than what you wouldn’t buy from the supermarket. Also you can order different types of vegetables and fruits box is a free delivery in Handbridge by send email ,phone or come in the shop for a order. The staff from the shop are kind and very friendly always helpful . I am in love with this shop If you don’t have opportunity to see that shop already you might take this in consideration and make a visit .

We came across this little gem by accident . What an amazing find. The staff were very welcoming, the hot chocolate was the best I have ever had and my partner said his cake and coffee were delicious. Will definitely be back to sample the food.

I’m a vegetarian and there are so many options available which taste absolutely delicious , would 100% recommend !!!!

I was looking for something to eat on a long train journey and was recommended Doorsteps of Handbridge. It was just over the bridge from central Chester but well worth the detour. It had an astounding range of sandwiches and baguettes on different types of bread. Everything was very fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed my Cajun chicken filling. My only quibble is that I felt the homemade cakes were not up to the high standards of the sandwich.

Wouldn't go anywhere else for a breakfast

Unhelpful and can’t tell the time… took a friend over from the US there for a quick sandwich last Saturday. Had bought bread there before (sourdough from Bear bakery) but never eaten, and had heard lovely things. In we go. ‘Sorry, the kitchen’s closed’. Oh! What time did it close? ‘We close at 2:00 on a Saturday’. What a shame, we just wanted a quick bite. There was no wriggle room here, it was very clear. As we depart I note that it is actually 1:55pm, not yet 2:00. So wriggle room shouldn’t even have been necessary. On principle won’t return. Had to give stars for food even though obvs wasn’t lucky enough to be awarded any…

The food used to be amazing from here, but past 2 times it’s gone down hill. Ordered tonight the burger was pink in the middle, the chips was not cooked in parts and was all sloppy and cold. I tried to call the shop a few times but had no answer paid over £30 for 2 meals for them to be like this!

We’ve just eaten in for the Wednesday deal and had the best experience! Everything we had tasted amazing and such good value for money! The waiter was so friendly and chatty he was great. We’ve lived in saltney for a few years and never tried here wish we tried it sooner. And you can bring your own booze!

I had a lovely time here yesterday for late lunch/early Fourses, staff very friendly and welcoming, lovely peaceful atmosphere, outside seating in the warm sunshine as well as indoor option, and I had The Very Best Ever made onsite by chef Chicken&Ham pie, you do really have to try these pies!! along with a generous steaming hot latte. Team can do takeaway drinks and food right up to closing time like any sit-in establishment, and website is very clear about this. I would definitely come here again and bring family/ friends. Used the NCP car parks, and saw happy dogs enjoying the big green Castle surrounds.

Although this is a takeaway shop the 5 of us sat in and enjoyed fresh, hot pizza - delicious!! Lots of people recommend this as a hidden gem and it really is. The owner and support staff really have a passion for good food and fresh ingredients. I know it is really popular for its home deliveries.

I had lunch here today after going to Handbridge to buy a present for my son. I hadn't seen this cafe online but was SO pleased I found it. The staff were very welcoming and service was quick ( which was good as I only had 30 minutes for my car parking!). My bacon batch was delicious and large, the coffee was good and the brownie which I took out was just gorgeous. I thoroughly recommend this lovely little place.
