I had lunch here today after going to Handbridge to buy a present for my son. I hadn't seen this cafe online but was SO pleased I found it. The staff were very welcoming and service was quick ( which was good as I only had 30 minutes for my car parking!). My bacon batch was delicious and large, the coffee was good and the brownie which I took out was just gorgeous. I thoroughly recommend this lovely little place.

A great little shop just outside the centre, over the bridge towards Handbridge. A great selection and sandwich fillings and cakes. The Rocky Road was the best I’ve ever tasted! Fabulous 🥇

I have never eaten in the cafe, but on at least 3 occasions now have ordered vegan cakes for birthdays etc. So much love, care, and customer satisfaction is taken into account when these cakes have been made. They're so tasty and would be gone in a heartbeat if they also weren't huge (that's a good thing!) :D

I am a regular here and the food is delicious. Good variety of fresh Deli style food. Also love to pop in at the weekend and get a brownie/cake to go - their homemade bakes are amazing. Would recommend!

While staying on the River Dee in Chester, I made my way to Handbridge to use the Launderette. This little gem was on route. Tired of eating in restaurants, this was homemade food, made by 2 lovely ladies. I went 3 times during my visit. I packed a freshly made tart and scone for my train ride home. Highly recommend!!

Great choice of food however the quality is really just average compared to the cost! The service however is excellent I think maybe if they looked at slightly better ingredients it might help a little more.

Went for a walk by the river in Chester a few weeks ago and pretty much everywhere was closed, but luckily for us this little café was open and weren't we glad. Had a bit to eat and a drink, there are a couple of tables inside, so you can eat in. It is so reasonably priced too, just wish we had found the place sooner. We have also been back since too, the customer service is great and the food lovely.

Happened across this lovely place when staying just up the road in Handbridge. The staff were very friendly. The food was plentiful, delicious and reasonably priced with many options. We only had a sandwich as were heading into town however the cakes looked delicious too. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quick bite with a nice coffee.

I took a friend of mine, who had recently moved to Chester city centre, to Spoilt for Choice for lunch, she enjoyed her turkey salad and I enjoyed my sausage roll. My friend said that it’s going to become her regular haunt for lunch, great customer service, super location and superb choice (it definitely lives up to its name!). We also bought some traybake treats to eat back at home (I had to, I couldn’t refuse when my three year old requested I get her a piece of the yummy chocolate brownie from the nice lady at Spoilt for Choice!). My rocky road was delish and my daughter and husband devoured their chocolate brownies!

Bought a brownie and rocky road and it's awful! Just peices of small marshamllow stuck together with stale chocolate and the brownie is chewy obviously from yesterday.

Having been here before and really enjoyed their food, I was disappointed with my visit last week. Coffees and 2 sausage rolls ordered. First mouthful of my sausage roll tasted odd had a tang to it. Tried a piece of my friends and she tried mine and agreed it was definitely off. Cafe was busy so I waited until people had left to approach the counter and mention the fact. Amazing response from two of the staff - "they're all from the same batch, don't see how there can be anything wrong". I was given another and it was fine, would have been better if my complaint had been acknowledged positively - bad customer service on this occasion!

A real treat nestled over the bridge in Handbridge. Is the best deli/ cafe in the Chester area, hands down! Wonderful service from Sharon and the team - I may go hungry if this ever shut!

Nothing is to much trouble special cakes for diabetics etc. made to order food available to eat in or takeaway friendly staff owner works in the business and has a good knowledge of food for people with allergies and will always accommodate also has 2 tables outside. THIS BUISNESS WAS PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS KATED DELI BUT HAS DIFFERENT OWNERS FOR A FEW YEARS NOW AND THERE IS NO COMPARISON BETWEEN KATES DELI AND SPOILT FOR CHOICE if your experiences were not as you may have expected when it traded as kates deli then you will not be disappointed now!!

Went to Chester with my Wife for a day out and decided to have Tea and cakes somewhere different to our usual place and came across Spoilt for Choice Café. Only a little shop with only three tables but Top quality food and warm friendly staff made this a really enjoyable experience. The owner told us most of the food was baked on the premiss on the day of sale I can confirm this as the piece of cake I had was still warm as it had only been baked an hour before.

This is a wonderful little cafe located on Handbridge main street. It serves a delightful range of hot and cold savories, bread, soup, drinks and cakes, either to have in the cafe itself or to take-away. The range of home cooked items is mouth-watering (including some wonderful pies), and the sandwiches we have had from here have also been delicious.

Attended Saturday night quiz. Arrived at 7:00pm. Started with a glass of red wine and Mediterranean platter followed by a to die for cheesecake( all food freshly cooked by Jason ( chef ) and the team. Wolfed the cheese cake down and realised I hadn't took a picture. Had a few more vino's during the quiz along with some banter with Jason and the regular customers. All tables were booked and nice to see a full house. Made a change to the average Saturday night and will certainly do it again. Would recommend to call in prior for some brekky or lunch to book quiz any day before or on Saturday. Quiz moved on quicker than your normal pub quiz which was great with the light banter and no typical interruptions from pub scene. Didn't win the quiz but enjoyed trying.

Stumbled on this wonderful cafe as we were on our way home from a camping trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so welcoming and kind to my 5yo daughter. The food was amazing, we both had the breakfast and my daughter had a lunch box which she loved and I thought it was great value, when we went inside to pay we couldn't not buy one (or two) of the amazing cakes. So delicious. Thank you :)

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.

Not religious at all but like other reviewers found this true OASIS when looking for refreshment in Chester Just great, lovely staff and clientele and great quality and value coffee and cakes... Interesting selection of books, gifts, cards etc Would use regularly if we lived locally Staff say they may have to relocate soon due to "commercial development of the site" Surely the Church which is not short of funds can provide an alternative venue for this wonderful place which probably does more for spreading the religious message than many more traditional churches etc...something in the Cathedral Precinct maybe?? Good luck to you all and God bless ( if it helps)
