Amazing pub! Friendly staff, had a lovely time. Drinks were excellent… will definitely return! Great atmosphere, clean and tidy. Little gem of a place.

Great little community pub on our visit to meet some friends there was a community warm space open day for the locals to get a hot drink and have a natter with other people. Staff and landlords George and layla were lovely and will definitely be back. Keep up the great work guys

Had a fantastic night here recently with friends and family. Very helpful and polite staff, and such a good atmosphere. Arranging another get together at the end of the month. I would definitely recommend the Waggon for good night out 👍

The staff are so lovely and helpful they even put out jugs of juice for the little ones. The hire was so affordable and the drinks are cheap too! Such a great pub! Great atmosphere, great staff. There's always something going on whether it be a live band or the footy!. And one of the best things about the waggon and horses is the amount that they do for the local community always going above and beyond! :)

Drunk in this pub for the past two years, never had a bad night all staff and customers friendly. Good entertainment always busy good choice of alcohol and soft drinks too. Definitely recommend

The waggon & horses in my experience has always been a pleasant one. Regarding this as my local there’s always a great atmosphere and the people in there are always a joy to be around. Staff are always very comforting and go above and beyond to make sure your time here is as good as it can be. The landlord is also a pleasure to be around a proper gentleman. Would recommend to anyone in the Chester area to pop in even it’s for a quick pint, it will not disappoint!

I love the place. It's friendly and always has charity events on and supports the elderly, throws bingo and quiz events and has an open mic and jam night last Sunday of every month. It also sells non alcoholic beer for people who drive. They have a large function room at the back and a kids play area. They have darts and pool teams and outside seating area with overhead heating. Jane and Daza are great landlords and the staff are very friendly. 5 star from me

A family run pub,Jane and Daz are lovely and really care about everyone. They provide a Christmas dinner every year for the locals,free of charge.They also provide hampers for the elderly. The staff are also lovely and always make you feel welcome.An excellent pub all round.I enjoy myself every time I visit.

This is a family run pub that do alot for the community. Also near Christmas every year they put on a Christmas dinner for free for pensioners .also hampers for charity. Jane and Dazza are an amazing couple.staff are very friendly.highly recommend.. Also do awesome breakfasts

First year we attended a xmas lunch put on by jane & dazza which they do every year , we were surprised how well it was organised and how lovely it was for a local pub such a welcome and great atmosphere everyone made to feel comfortable , staff worked hard and food by tracy was hotel standard thank you all we are so glad we took you up on invitation 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👌

Stayed last night on the way to Chester, arrived in time for food (the staff even kept a table, nice touch), great homemade food. Nice room overlooking the river, friendly chatty staff and great breakfast too. If your in Lancaster or looking for a stop near the M6 go there.. Nothing to add but amazing value for money.

Prices are good, food is delicious and the Burger Shaq have the best quality burgers for miles around. This is a community pub in the true sense of the word, with their fund raising for many many charities. It's a must visit if your in the area.

Anyone visiting the waggon and horses blacon must try the food from blacon burger shaq served from the premises, best burgers about, and cheese sauce over ya fries is a must, friendly staff and brilliant owners in Jane an dazza , get yaself down for a nice pint and food.

Family run pub where the owners Jane&Dazza can’t do enough for you! The food from the Burger Shaq is gorgeous, loads of flavour and reasonable prices. The vibe in there is unmatched, credit to the Blacon Community. Everyone knows each other and is friendly and there’s always events on here for all ages and a regular singer most weekends! ❤️

An excellent pub with a great atmosphere, very friendly owners and staff, we tried the burger shaq whilst we were there and we were not disappointed the food was amazing and the price is excellent too, we will definitely be goin back

Great little pub in the community, the landlady is always doing something for various clubs, football fans and the kids in the community. Cant recall asking for any form of payment for these events which is amazing in itself in the climate we are in....

Cracking pub, friendly staff, great atmosphere and some really fun characters around the bar. Regular live music from djs through to sing alongs with acoustic guitars. Top banter, well worth a visit.

Be prepared to travel back in time to pre 1990s when you walk through these doors. A peg on your nose when you go to the toilet is deffo needed

Used for engagement party. It was lovely, plenty of room, staff were great, beer, lager etc was cold and clear and the glasses were spotless. Everything we could have wished for to make a great celebration.
