We visited Yara on a Saturday afternoon for a friends birthday. We had booked in advance as there was 8 of us. We have all visited previously and had great experiences so never expected any different on this occasion. Firstly on a positive note, mostly our food was really good. I had sea bass which could have been hotter but was very well cooked and flavoured. Our issue was with our server who turned out to be the Manager. He couldn’t have made us feel less welcome if he tried. We had to ask for everything from glasses to put our drinks in (it’s a BYO) to asking to place an order. He sat behind the bar scrolling on his phone doing nothing to make our time there relaxed and easy. To top it off it was absolutely freezing in there. We did make our feelings known to him at the end of the meal but he even disagreed with our complaint! Such a shame as the staff who started to arrive for the evening shift at around 5pm were lovely. The place came to life with the staff change over who all had a positive attitude and looked like they wanted to be there. Just because of the Manager I’m not sure I will return unfortunately

No where near as good as previous visit. The waitress was lovely and friendly. The full English however wasn’t good. It came out very quick suggesting not cooked fresh. It all tasted like reused oil. The egg was tasteless as if cheaply bought eggs and the sausage I couldn’t eat as again looked like and tasted like economy sausages. It all just tasted like oil/fat as if flash fried from being cooked already. Very disappointed this time. Gave a 3 for the waitress and the pot of tea.

I booked the room at Alderley Edge to host my 30th and my partners 40th. The staff there were incredible and helped make the day/night run so smoothly. I had so much help from Lucy to organise the night. It was the perfect party! Lots of parking space for guests. Food could accommodate all. Friendly staff working the bar. 5 star and would definitely recommend!

Would just like to say don’t ever think about booking an event with alderly edge golf club!! Not only are they not good at maintaining contact to arrange catering, but ONE week before my moms 50th they phoned to say they have cancelled catering! We are now left scrambling to find a place. Alderly edge golf club epitomises unprofessionalism unorganised and everything negative that come with organising an event!!!

Our second visit and both were extremely enjoyable. A great place to drop in whilst out walking although there is also plenty of parking. We have tasted various toasted sandwiches and lovely homemade soups. The triple chocolate brownie is delicious and the acai smoothies look fantastic too. The owners are very friendly. All in all, a great experience. Gill and Gordon

Popped by for a pizza for dinner. Lad behind the counter was brilliant, even let me borrow a phone charger for a bit. Really great service. Ordered the veggie pizza, it was ok at best. A bit too greasy for my liking, but had a good quantity of olives as toppings. A bit more finesse would go a long way!

My review is for the restaurant, lovely friendly staff. We were here for our staff Christmas do. The room was nicely decorated but cold. A bit of Christmas music would have been nice. I had the soup for starters, very tasty. Then roasted cauliflower on cauliflower puree. . Which I really enjoyed. The pudding however was awful. A vegan Eton mess , no, a sundae glass full of vegan cream 🤮 and a Christmas jam . Who on earth would want to eat a glass of vegan cream. 🤣 Add some fruit To be fair I did mention it when all the pots were being cleared and the waitress asked if there was anything else I would like. ( There were other options and they chose to serve this). Pudding aside I enjoyed the two other courses

We were a party of 13 for New Year's Day lunch and provided pre orders of our food choices by email in advance. Despite this we waited for an hour and a half for our starters. The soups were not very hot. The 3 courses involved very long waits, the meal lasted 3.5-4 hours in total, which prevented our planned walk afterwards. Despite several requests to increase heating the room remained cold and no one lit the fire. This was not a satisfactory experience for a meal costing in excess of £500.
