Yara Restaurant in Cheshire East

Ordered a delivery and it was one of the best kebabs I've ever had. Excellent quality ingredients, super tender and well cooked over charcoal. Came with nice chilli sauce and the chips were great. It only cost 22 pounds which isn't much more than what a greasy chippy charges nowadays but much better quality than you would get.

Wonderful food! The walnut dip was incredible. Excellent falafel. All servings were very generous in size.

Utterly divine. Please eat here in person - do not order takeout - the ambience is too nice and the decor is gorgeous. The staff are lovely. The dishes are presented so beautifully. We've been so impressed with everything whenever we have eaten here. It's really a treat!

A Disastrous Dining Experience My recent visit to Yara was an absolute disaster from start to finish. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so bad that I feel compelled to warn others. First, the staff was incredibly rude. From the moment we walked in, the host acted like we were an inconvenience, and our server couldn't be bothered to offer even a hint of hospitality. They were dismissive, unhelpful, and downright unpleasant. To make matters worse, they brought us the wrong food—not once, but twice. When we pointed out the mistake, instead of an apology, we were met with attitude and excuses about how WE were wrong. After waiting even longer for the correct dishes, what finally arrived was mediocre at best. The food was bland, poorly presented, and definitely not worth the wait. But the real kicker? Despite all these issues, they still charged us the full bill! No apology, no discount, nothing. We ended up paying for food we didn’t order, or eat, service that was nonexistent, and an overall experience that left a bad taste in our mouths—literally and figuratively. I strongly advise against dining at Yara. The combination of rude staff, wrong orders, subpar food, and a complete lack of customer service makes this place a disaster. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere that actually cares about its customers.

Have visited many times, but on this occasion very poor. We ordered a mixed kebab and when it arrived it was wrong. We advised the waiter what we had ordered and he brought the meal, again wrong! The waiter came over to our table and told us we had ordered what was delivered in effect we were liars. We explained what we had ordered and again he said we hadn't. We told him he was very rude and explained we had visited many times and we had ordered correctly. He then charged us the full amount of the meal £123 and we only had starters! In all the times we had visited this local restaurant this waiter was the worst ever. Do not go!!! If you do go, do not deviate off the menu, they will get it wrong and say you are liars. We have paid for a meal we never eaten and he never said just pay for what you have eaten, he charged for the whole amount! Absolutely awful and read the reviews there are many which say the staff are rude and the service is poor. We have paid money for a meal we never eaten as it was wrong, awful is an understatement!!!!!

Never came phoned the restaurant and they said they haven’t received the order!?

I was in the restaurant today ((August 2024)). The setting is excellent and all the three dishes was perfect ((chicken Tikka or Shish Tawooq, Maqloobaa, and fresh Greek yogurt. It was given to us with Yogurt and a special restaurant made chilli sauce. The service was also excellent 👌

Recently dined here with an and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was exceptional, with a menu offering a variety of dishes. The restaurant is spacious and meticulously clean, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Nice place, waiters are friendly and attentive, food is tasty and portions are good, went as a family and had a good selection, everything cooked correctly and served hot, it’s also not overpriced, will definitely return, Only thing I would say is they need to omit the service charge off the bill, Tips are earned from a good experience, it shouldn’t be a way of adding 10% to everything.

Visiting from Australia and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended as one of the best restaurants in the entire area.

Chicken kebab, lamb couscous with chips and cucumber yogurt dip was just what we wanted. Very tasty good size portions. complementary olives was a nice touch. Place was clean. Staff very polite and attentive. definitely would come here again.

They make some really delicious Turkish and Lebanese dishes. I had really good vegetarian options for myself and my friends all enjoyed the great food and fantastic service.

The food at Yara was so much better than I expected. I highly recommend the Aubergine Fatteh, Muhamara (I think, its the walnut dip in the cold starters) and you can't go wrong with any of the grilled skewers. Unlike other Middle Eastern restaurants, each grilled chicken skewer tasted distinctly different from each other! The seating is clean and beautiful and the service was good too! I highly recommend (And its each to find parking near the restaurant)

Food was okay, service felt rushed and they forgot meals... Not bad until the service charge was £30+ when we thought the service could have been better... we have minimum wage for a reason!

Went for a joint family birthday. The food was lovely but the service was not enjoyable. I felt rushed to order without having a chance to look properly at the menu. The waiter was short with me when I said could we have a few minutes to look. He then said I’ll come back to you and carried on taking the tables orders although we weren’t all ready. We ordered our drinks and they were not all there so had to chase them, the waiter then spilt half of a bottle of lemonade all over the table, fair enough this was an accident but it wasn’t replaced with a full bottle and was still charged. Our meals came out and one of our main meals had been forgotten so one member of the party had to wait whilst the remainder of us were eating. When it came to the bill there was an optional service charge of 10% on there. There were 10 of us so this was a substantial amount, we asked them to remove this and after some talk between themselves behind the bar the waiter came back saying he was unable to take it off because his iPad wasn’t working. We were not happy with this and this ended up with the waiter haggling a service charge. Not a comfortable position to be in. Won’t be returning.

Buzzing and full on a Wednesday evening. Excellent food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Take your own wine just pay corkage. Definitely recommended.

Amazing food!!! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for good quality, authentic dishes! Can bring your own alcohol aswell which is always a plus! Staff were very friendly and attentive!

Have not been here for a while and made the mistake of coming back. Very very understaffed long waiting time for the food over 45 minutes and waited 15 minutes for a table we had already booked

The delivery portion sizes have got smaller and smaller as a long time customer very disappointing.

Ordered through Deliveroo, half the order showed up. Called the restaurant a there was no interest in solving the issue. I would consider the staff rude and unprofessional!

The staffs arent professional in Alderly edge. they were rude, they didn’t ask that we want to keep our plate and continue to eat or not ! We order whisky, they served it in vodka glass and when we asked for change the glasses they said we have just wine glass! Food was underrated, meat was smelling and not good marinated. It was a bad experience and never trying again.

Our favourite restaurant never disappoints! We have visited twice in the last month, once as a couple and once as a family. The food is delicious every time we visit. The service is great and the staff are all really welcoming, we would highly recommend visiting.

Went for Sunday lunch with family. Lovely service, excellent food, large portions great fresh flavours, will keep going back.

We had booked for 6, when we got there we initially were taken upstairs on our own, then another group of 6 came up (who had booked) few minutes later they went back downstairs. after a while we went looking for the waiter, they seemed short staffed and he suggested that we could move back downstairs with the rest when a table was emptied ain 10 mins, which we did. The atmosphere downstairs was good. The starters were good but I was surprised at my moussaka as there was masses of sauce and not that much aubergine. The others had loads of meat so I had some of that with my meal. The main problem for me was that it was quite late by the time we got any food and if I had been with my husband I would of left when we were upstairs and not being attended. I may well try it another night to see what happens then, but order something different.

I was at an orchestra workshop at the Festival Hall. We had a lunch break and we went to Yara. The food and service were top-notch. There are some nice vegetarian options on the menu.

Fantastic place we eat there every three weeks, and always allows us to sit without having to book as we are early birds, we go around 6m PM, but always welcoming and the manager is the best around very welcoming and accommodating, we get served very quickly and the food is always hot and delicious, unbelievably yummy.

Another fabulous night at Yara. A very busy lively vibe with plenty of lovely people all having a great time. There were 4 of us and we had kebabs, veg stew and Mousaka...as well as starters which I can never spell very well so I'll just say they were lovely. The staff are always super helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They have great advise and recommendations. If you haven't been recently ..can't recommend it enough. Food excellent....service excellent! We go almost weekly...always great.

Always reliable service and food

Excellent food and very friendly knowledgeable staff. Lebanese wine really good meze type starter which was very tasty followed by a trio of kebabs. Best I've ever had, tender and flavoursome. Actually hD ground decaff coffee that tasted like coffee not weak dishwater. Went there rather than airport hotel and will be going again for creation holiday.

Never disappoints. Variety of options for starters and mains. For starters would recommend hummus, halloumi, chicken wings. Mains would recommend any meat dish but chicken sharhat and chicken damas are top. Affordable pricing and friendly staff.

Watch for the bill : we had some coffees sneaked in to your long bill. Not sure it was an honest mistake or a strategy of the restaurant. Otherwise food is OK, pretty simple, but good for the price.

I went to Yara's for the first time, was worried after having read a few mixed reviews but thought I'd take the chance. We ordered one starter and two mains. My wife is vegetarian so ordered spinach. The food was amazing. The service was great and in particular a gentleman called Irfan made us feel welcomed. Definately will return again.
