The best restaurants in Carlisle North West

This used to be our go to takeaway but standards and quality have definitely got worse. We called in tonight and got charged the usual amount for the same meal but as there was a wait I added it up from the menu. I had been over charged so this must have been happening for weeks, I also asked for bean shoots with mushrooms etc but when I got home it was plain bean shoots. The special fried vice had one king prawn and two slices of pork with a few pieces of chicken all for fifteen quid sorry but very poor for the money for curried rice with a few bits added.

The staff are amazing here really friendly and helpful. The food was great value and nice

I drink Costa as it is my coffee of choice, and i tend to have at least one latte daily, usually two. Having been at this drive through on Friday 23rd April and today on the 27th April, the one thing I find incredibly irritating is the staff reluctance to use thermometers when steaming the milk, net effect on Friday was coffee that was the temperature of molten lava, it was undrinkable until my wife and I had covered 60 miles . . and i dread to think of the 3rd degree burns that would have happened if it was dropped. This morning I receive exactly the same, a skinny latte that instantly burns your lips and remained undrinkable until 30 minutes later. Please reiterate or provide training to staff, I don't buy a coffee because I want to have a drink in 30 minutes to an hour.

Overpriced and poor quality toasted gluten free sandwich, the bread did not taste fresh and seemed over cooked on the crusts. Coffee was good though, but could have been slightly warmer.

The waiting time to get coffee for take away is horrible. There are 5 staff members -yet it takes ages for them to prepare a drink and serve people. very inefficient service. I was patiently waiting for my coffee standing for more than 10 minutes then asked by a staff member- " why did you not tell us that you are still waiting?". The staff attitude was not really friendly. I don't recommend this costa restaurant , better to get coffee from the machine at the shop opposite
