Costa Coffee Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle

The waiting time to get coffee for take away is horrible. There are 5 staff members -yet it takes ages for them to prepare a drink and serve people. very inefficient service. I was patiently waiting for my coffee standing for more than 10 minutes then asked by a staff member- " why did you not tell us that you are still waiting?". The staff attitude was not really friendly. I don't recommend this costa restaurant , better to get coffee from the machine at the shop opposite

I had to take my mother for a medical appointment at the Cumberland Infirmary and we decided to use the Costa Coffee before we drove home. I wish we hadn't bothered as the prices were sky high- £.2.40 for a weak cup of tea and £3.70 for a forgettable latte- and £.5.20 for a small panini was a rip off. Looks to me like Costa Coffee, whose outlet is near the reception, have a captive audience as it's the only place to have a hot drink and something to eat while you're waiting for an appointment.

The coffee was terrible. It was very milky and barely warm. I couldn’t drink it. Certainly not worth queuing for. The panini was I ordered was ok.

I’d just been to an appointment in Outpatients when I decided to use the loo before grabbing a coffee at Costa, whilst I’m washing my hands a lady came out of the second cubicle; there is only 2, walked straight by me and back out in to the corridors. I briskly followed her in the hope of seeing her name badge, and was mortified to see her walk back behind the Costa counter and serve a chap his drink. I decided to buy from the site shop instead and reported this to the lady behind the counter. It’s a bloody hospital, we’re still in the midst of Covid and she couldn’t be bothered to soap and wash for 30 seconds

Still saying open for another 28 minutes on website at 8pm when its been closed for ages apparently and concierge says its notmal
