Quite possibly one of the best breakfast rolls I’ve had, coffee was excellent and the service was so welcoming and friendly. I stopped in half way though my Steel Rigg to Lanercost Hadrians wall walk, will be skipping the rest of the way. What a lovely cafe. 100% worth a visit.
Delicious food, I had garlic chicken with halloumi, brown rice, zaynaise, bbq sauce and cucumbers and onions, So much flavour and really hit the spot, the coconut bites are really nice too. Give it a try if you're looking for something healthier.
Been coming here for years for the $10 toastie and coffee deal. Now its $10 for a toastie. Looks like the place is under new ownership too. The quality of the food is not the same. Sadly I wont be coming back.
My husband and I visited on Valentine's Day and had a great experience. I'm vegan and was overwhelmed by the choice! We thoroughly stuffed ourselves with poppadoms, kebabs, bhuna, korma, rice, garlic naan and bombay potatoes. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and we can't wait to come back and try more.
On top of the beautiful food, the staff were so, so friendly, kind and welcoming.
Thank you all 😊
BOOKED FOR SUNDAY LUNCH, AS ALWAYS THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC AND THE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY, WHY 4 STARS! WE WERE SEATED IN THE RECEPTION ROOM OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT WHICH AFFECTED THE WHOLE AMBIANCE OF THE EXPERIENCE, MAY ASWELL HAVE BEEN SITTING AT HOME. BABY SHOWER PEOPLE ARRIVED, SO WE WERE SURROUNDED BY BOXES AND BALLOONS WHILST WE WERE EATING BEFORE THEY WERE TAKEN ELSEWHERE. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED WHEN BOOKING IF THE RESTAURANT WAS FULL AND WE WOULD HAVE CHANGED THE DATE. DISAPPOINTING SEATING ARRANGEMENT.
We had a a delightfully delicious lunch today at Juniper. The food was cooked to perfection for both of our meals with lovely flavours. We were so impressed we are looking forward to celebrating our Golden Wedding anniversary later on in the year with our family of foodies, but will obviously visit again before then. Particular favourite of mine was the pork belly which was tender and so tasty. It was nice to meet the talented chef at our table and Rob made our experience very comfortable with the right amount of welcome, service and information. A great introduction to this little gem. Thank you
Don’t offer takeaway orders if you’re only interested in the customers sitting in. Walked in at 11:40 hoping for a sandwich to take out for lunch but before I had even had the chance to order I got asked by some Spanish lad thinking he owns the place “eating in or takeaway?” Obviously I say take away and he just immediately assumes it would be a a 20 min wait… In what world does a cafe take 20 mins to make a sandwich. Business must be good if they’re happy for customers to walk out. I’m on my lunch break who has 20 mins to wait. Anyone thinking of going here for a take away I wouldn’t bother unless you plan to sit in. Food is good in the past I’ve had it but they won’t be getting my money again it’s not the first time staff have been passively aggressive for no reason.
We always visit Jaunty goat when in Chester .
I took my husband for lunch on his birthday.
He’s a huge coffee fan so having a long black on the menu is a total winner .
I was thrilled to see a veggie club sandwich, it was delicious.
Always a lovely atmosphere with such friendly attentive staff .
100% recommend
