Interesting atmosphere, very small meals. Using the word Thai in the description is very misleading, there is very little in the meals that represents Thai other than the odd word on the menu. Visited with my wife (Thai national) and daughter we ordered 3 different starters, mains and desserts, other than the desserts and all but one of main the meals were far to salty which obviously was the dominant taste.
We turned up today for an afternoon tea which I booked with a £25 deposit (I have the receipt) to find the tearoom closed. Leanne had my mobile number (as well as my money) but never informed me the cafe had closed.
I met with the new owner who was full of apologies and was just lovely.
Feel very let down by Leeanne.
Me and my dog Millie love lunch in here. Food is excellent, staff are really friendly and the cafe is always busy and clean. Food and drinks are reasonably price. The breakfast is my favourite meal.
This is a place we've used in other parts of Manchester, but the first visit here. It really is a smashing place right by the canal and in the heart of the action.
As with the others, it has a brilliant range of beers brewed by their own brewery, and they serve very well.
The area around it has developed beyond recognition and it was good in the winter so I imagine it would be even better in the summer.
Quick stop for a coffee, a croissant, and a bacon bun. All good, very good, efficient service. The room was a bit on the cold side, but it didn’t matter so much for a quick stop.
Four of us visited this restaurant for the first time on Thursday. We had a delicious 3 course meal, we all tried different things.
The ambience was good, the restaurant was nice and warm on a very cold evening and we all agreed that we would return again. My only small gripe is that the men were sitting on wooden chairs that hurt their backs after a while, I was very comfortable on my padded chair!
I just tried to order 2 pizzas via their app, which didn't work, then over the Internet on a PC, which also didn't work. When I phoned to try and tell them and order over the phone, I was told no orders could be taken that way and Shap Pizza was so interested in being told that their app wasn't working.....they put the phone down on me! Sorry but we live locally and that isn't impressive.
Having sampled good, bad and really bad Thai food around the world, I was not expecting what we had here. Take Away on a Thursday night, rain and a small blink and you miss it store. Inside its Clean and the young lady behind the desk very friendly and attentitive, a 5 Star food hygine rating also inspired confidence. I had Chicken Cashew with egg fried rice and my wife, who is new to Thai, had Tofu, Masaman Curry with egg fried rice, we also had a portion of Veggie Spring Rolls. Wow just wow, the food tasted as you would expect from a great Thai resturant, it was as good as anything I have had in the Far East, it really was. The options for Vegetarians and by extention Vegans is amoungst the best my wife has seen in a long time. Good Thai food in East Lancashire does not sound right, but I am glad it is here, my only negative is, how did we not find this sooner. We will be back and wholeheartely recomend it to anyone.
Just popped in for a sandwich today and found the ladies to be very friendly and was served quickly too . The hot sandwich had a very nice hot turkey sausage and cranberry sauce but sorry to say that the roll itself was small and very poor quality white bread . At £ 7.45 was poor value for money too I would say . Nice mince and almond tart but also on the pricey too .
What a great place! The breakfast was excellent, the decor beautifully done with a mixture of themes and all the staff were fabulously cheerful and helpful. What’s not to like? Great to see an independent doing so well in these days of multinational chains. They have lots of regulars coming in and not surprising! Highly recommended! Thank you to you all.
Hidden but what a great establishment. The staff are lovely and the vibe is great. Not too loud and can hear each other talk. Would recommend. Not a rush
